Café Romand

The café offers traditional Swiss cuisine and has an old-world charm. The waiters were really nice and funny, although the service was extremely slow. I enjoyed the fondue and the meringue with Gruyère double cream; however, the Malakoff was just okay.

Stepping into this officially recognized historical restaurant in Lausanne is like stepping back in time. The dining room is absolutely charming, and the service was impeccable. The food was also good. For a classic brasserie meal, you can't go wrong and for vegetarians and vegans, their red lentil dish is a very tasty option!

Only the shell is left of this formerly typical and friendly bistrot. Loud, mediocre food and unfriendly management. I recommend to have a look for the beauty of the place but there are many better places to eat in Lausanne and surroundings. A pity.

A very hostile, angry server ruined any chance for us to rave about this place. Language barrier did create some issues, but our waiter was not willing to be patient with our attempts at French speaking. Food was above average, but fairly limited menu. We had many better meals in Switzerland.

We has a very enjoyable experience. Service was nice and quick, and food was abundant. Price might be a bit too steep, but not extremely away from “Swiss standards”. If your French is so so, some of the waiters speak Spanish.

This restaurant was empty when our group tour when in for dinner. But somehow, they seat 8 or 9 of us Malaysians in 3 tables, wheras the locals can use 4 seats for 2 pax. Steak was tough, salad was not fresh. I do not recommend this restaurant.

Had a great experience here with 2 friends! We ordered the Swiss fondue (quite a steep price, but I think it's average for the area). The food came out quickly and the waiters were kind. The place started to get more crowded as the night went on. Would recommend for your next visit to Lausanne!
