Café Sidibou

This empanada made me start liking empanadas. I did not like them before. Now I'm a believer. This is the best empanada I've ever had.

Far and beyond! He doesn't have babaganush, so he made an special dish for me. ☺️ Best service and food.

Not the most beautiful place on earth and probably not the best service… but if you like good food do not hesitate to try their platter.

Friendly and accommodating staff, clean and spacious cafe. I've gad the chicken masala and arroz for breakfast and a coffee. Cheap and food is tasty.

An interesting little scruffy lunchplace that serves middle eastern options, and Dominican food. I think the owners are Dominican of Syrian/Lebanese origin. In any case, I had a lamb shank and a side of some eggplant stew thing and it was absolutely stunningly tasty. One of the better meals I've had in Puerto Rico to be perfectly honest!

This is a highly welcoming, homey, delicious, and affordable place. The owner is super friendly and generous. The homemade hummus is beyond this world! We went there several times and enjoyed the food every single time.

Wonderful food. Great atmosphere. Super nice owner. What ever you desire, however you desire it, the kitchen is accommodating. Middle Eastern/Mediterranean and latin offerings at the same level of quality for very good value. Never hesitate, take yourself there! It will become one of your « go-to » option for breakfast or lunch while in San Juan.

As casual as it gets. The lamb was some of the best I've had in a gyro. Excellent for a quick lunch if you're i the neighborhood

Good middle eastern food and desserts as well as local Puerto Rican food. Casual atmosphere.

A happy little hole in the wall with good food and super-friendly service. We stopped by here for a little bite to eat. The food was simple but scrumptious. Wife and daughter shared a chicken and rice dish. I had recently eaten so wasn't too hungry but snagged a few bites. Wasn't disappointed at all. The servers were attentive and very accommodating. They know how to pick their staff. Definitely 5-star service!

Baklava! I got lost while I was wandering around near the art museum looking for coffee. Abracadabra and Cafe Comido were recommended but I was disappointed in the latter's bland generic atmosphere. Looking for a more interesting option, I found this little gem next door. It's a local diner. I didn't have a meal but what was on the plates looked great. I had great coffee and the best baklava I've ever had. It may not be typical Puerto Rican fare but the best travel is all about the surprises along the way, isn't it?

Get the desayuno sidibou! This adorable spot was just opened by a man from Tunisia, and it's by far the best value in the neighborhood! He's just about the sweetest and is happy to meet your accommodations! Also, if don't eat pork, his jamón is turkey based. His menu is short, but everything it's absolutely delicious!

Amazing!! Very friendly service, and delicious fresh made food. Great value too. Their cordero (lamb) gyro is huge, and the meat is cooked perfectly. That and all of their Mediterranean sandwiches come with fries and are $5.99 - $8.99. A great deal these days! Their baklava is great - not too sweet, and taste like they were freshly made that day. It was stuffed with pecans and had chocolate on top. I will definitely be back...

Great place for desayuno (breakfast)!! We went there only once on our short Puerto Rico vacation and definitely wish we would have gone more. It's a cute little cafe with friendly service and good food for very cheap. Seriously, the breakfast sandwich I had, Mallorca con huevos y queso, was reason enough for me to return to Puerto Rico!!

Delicious food...all empanadas are wonderful and the café is one of a kind. Not to mention the service attention is great. Ahmed is a phenomenal host.

The owner is very sweet. There is a long line at lunch time. Falafel balls were tasty, but the sandwich was only falafel, lettuce, and tomato rolled in pita. No tahini, hummus, cabbage, onion, cucumber/pickle. No sauce at all. Huh? Unheard of in my experience of middle eastern food. Every other person in here is eating from the criolla menu -- seems to be where they are excelling at the moment.
