Nothing like a chick with an eyepatch and a sign declaring "Suicide Sue" to get your attention. I walked in and sat myself. I perused the English menu and soon noticed their specialty - spreads. They are heavily featured in the first section, offering several options, including brunch for 2+ people, that promote their spreads.
I chose the veggie option which came with cheese, olives, tomato slice, rocket, 4 bread slices, bread, butter, and 3 spread choices. I selected turkey-pineapple-curry, beetroot-horseradish-apple, and brie cheese-dates. My favorite spread was the beetroot. It reminded me of a typical Christmas dish my mom makes. My least favorite was the brie-dates. It was a pungent biting flavor that wasn't balanced with the present dates. The most memorable cheeses were the fresh mozzarella and a taleggio-like cheese (creamy, slightly salty rind).
Overall, it was a great meal. I enjoyed mixing and matching spreads to breads. My table also had 4 salt combination options - hibiscus, chili, saffron, and herbs (the hibiscus and herbs labels were switched however).
