Lamassu Specialty Coffee was a pleasant surprise. It’s not exactly hidden, but it does feel a little tucked away and discreet, which makes walking in feel like you’ve stumbled onto something special. The setup is simple and unpretentious, but the coffee is what really makes it stand out. We tried espresso with milk, and it was excellent. Smooth, balanced, and clearly made with care. It’s the kind of drink that makes you want to slow down and actually enjoy it instead of rushing through.
What I liked most was that the place doesn’t feel like it’s trying to be trendy or overly curated. It’s straightforward, and the quality speaks for itself. Their tagline about society being “too realistic” made me smile, and I’m glad to say their coffee is good for real. It’s always nice when a spot has a bit of personality without being over the top.
Overall, Lamassu is the kind of coffee shop you’d recommend to someone who appreciates good coffee but doesn’t need all the extra fuss. It’s nicr, it’s reliable, and it delivers exactly what you want from a specialty coffee shop.
