An Italian-inspired restaurant, with options for all tastes: meat, fish, risotto, pasta. We tried the ravioli of wild boar, the fish and the tiramisu: all of them exquisitely done. An option that worked all around: relaxed environment, polite staff, conformable space and delicious food: the possibility to have a nice dinner. Great selection of wines. Oh and the focaccia served as courtesy is the best I ever tasted!

Café Tekehtopa was a splendid experiences January 2024 eating relatively short lunch (40 min max). Did it three days in a row, and alternated between their today’s pasta and soup. With a decreased ability to taste (probably due to an earlier covid or similar), I was recommended the dish with most flavours. I enjoyed every meal. The service was great, and just small things like setting some chilli flakes that I could add to the food (last day), sees that they really had attentions towards my first day story about little taste. Impressive service. The bread served as a teaser was great. I will definitely use Tekehtopa next time doing public service in this area <3

Their menu doesn't have much for vegans, so I wasn't holding out much hope, but when I asked they offered to make a vegan risotto for me. It was quite good even if a little on the salty side. They should definitely advertise this option more! I loved the interior too 😊

Had the four course meny. The only minimal drawback was that there was too much fat on the pork (more than half was fat). Still, everything was tasty, and the service was very good :)

We had the pasta of the day, which we shared between the two of us and it was one of the best pastas we have ever had, and one shared portion was enough for both of us

Initially I was not impressed with the decoration: but dark for my taste, too warm, interior a bit “tired”. The staff was welcoming and service minded. Food came pretty quickly. Focaccia offered is a bit “crusty” but tasty. Main course was tasty. Overall a OK restaurant for a relaxing night out with friends.

Google
Solid culinary experience. Not the most friendly environment tho, more rustic if anything. Basically italia met bulgaria.

Yelp
Very nice place. I had dinner so it was at night with few lights and candles on the tables. The people were very nice, the lovely waitress took some time to explain me the details of each dishes so.I could choose my meal. I Haa a delicious grilled lamb shoulder with lamb sausage, spinach, mushrooms, sage butter and original chestnut-gnoccis (249 Nok). Bread was good, and was served with salted butter. Meals are very consistent so a dish will be enough except you haven't eat for many days!

Yelp
The outdoor location on the plaza caught our eye. Wasn't even sure what the cuisine was. Asked the waiter and because of his kindness decided to give our first Italian dinner in Oslo a shot. No English menu, but Dave our waiter patiently explained it and when he said seafood pasta my wife said yes, then wild boar ravioli and I said yes. Also got a caprese salad. Bread was also served with olive oil and balsamic. Every bite of both main dishes, the salad and bread was so delicious and fresh. Dave was a joy as our server, very personable and fun personality. It was reasonably priced and sitting outside was a joy.

Yelp
Just walked up on this beautiful Place and had what might actually be the best ravioli con funghi ever, and quite reasonably. Also a very nice white wine, bread and olive oil. I think I found a treasure.

Yelp
The meal began with amazing bread. The crust was spectacularly crunchy and the innards perfectly moist and spongy. Bread to tell your children and their children about, without a doubt. We ordered the steak tartare salad, which came with the best fries I've ever had, and a lovely green mayo-based dipping sauce. We also got the duck, sausage, pork belly, and bacon plate. Each meat was prepared perfectly, without even one lagging behind the others in terms of flavor, moisture, or texture. The plate arrived with potatoes and warm sauerkraut for a well-balanced meal. Very friendly service and a member of their staff held the door open for us as we left. I appreciate those little gestures! Wonderful experience and my favorite meal in Oslo.

Yelp
Very good service! The food was tasty and well-prepared. Small, but well balanced menu. Good selection of wine.

Yelp
Pretty good food! Their bread is delicious; so soft yet the outside is crunchy. Yum. Their menu is pretty cute too, and I appreciate the choice of sitting outside or inside. We chose to sit outside because it was for once sunny, and I ended ordering a salmon sandwich (it wasn't really a sandwich in the strictest sense). The salmon had a good smokey flavor, although it was a bit too salty, the bread it came on was rye bread which I'm personally not a big fan of, and the bread was pretty thin. The sauce it came with was pretty good, but there was way too much of it. I felt bad for not eating all of it because there were salmon pieces in the sauce. The sauce wasn't too heavy, but it gets tiring to eat after a while. The dish also came with lettuce and onions which I enjoyed, giving the entire meal more balance. The meal was 159 NOK which wasn't too bad for Norway standards, and there was definitely a good amount of food. I give this place 3.5 stars!

Yelp
This is an Italian restaurant. They don't have Scandinavian dishes and is miscategorized. The bartender thought I was crazy asking for local dishes but he was nice about it.

Yelp
Excellent service, fish of the day perfectly cooked and starter of the day was delicious. Cozy and comfortable atmosphere. Not a single complaint. A+

Yelp
Delicious fried mackereal appetizer and a wonderfule whole sea bass for dinner. Reasonably priced beers. Only problem was that the beer was a bit flat. I would highly recommend. Many of the othermenu items also looked good.
