Café Tin Tin Tango

Helsinki’s « Café Socéité » is unprecedented ! Like a Woody Allen film it has « Charm charm charm »! Wonderfully warm and inviting milieu for many in this part of Töölö, its ambiance provides the patrons a comfortable intimate interior, for study, to relax, meetup with friends, colleagues, neighbors, or others professionally and such that this mutuality reflects a unique relaxed atmospheric environment. The hospitality of staff is tremendously inviting, ‘med kahvi’ and pastries all day long. Perfect for visiting guests who need a respite to catchup on laundry needs while enjoying the cosmopolitan conversations enveloping the table side closeness. One of the many outstanding venues found in the city that offers everyone a spot to also unwind and regroup. Highly recommended for hotel guests from the nearby Crowne Plaza and Scandinavian Park Helsinki!

Nice cafe with a cozy atmosphere and affordable pricing. Sometimes in Finland I miss the European café culture a little bit as it doesn't seem as strong here as in most other countries, however, places like this remind me it still exists. Went on a date here and we got a coffee and a hot chocolate with whipped cream. It's a nice place to sit down, chill and talk. Before closing time we were informed half an hour in advance in case we still wanted to order something, which was very kind.

Great place for breakfast (and more) in Töölö area! Heard about this place from another local and can only reconfirm what he said, it's a bit of an institution at Töölö square since 1990s. Breakfast offering is great and menus are honest, you get easily full on a medium sized already. Bread was very fresh and warm when served, all other ingredients are good and taste fresh too. A big big plus is that when ordering menu it's served to the table. Overall friendly atmosphere and staff. Definitely worth to return to this place! I've given a 5 due to genuinity, but even considering interior is not tip top it's easily a 4.5 worth.

Excellent food and drinks. I loved the outside terrace, the spaces inside were great and customer service was on point. The only bad thing is that there are not many power outlets inside the cafe, so if you want to work with a laptop there is only a few tables you can do it.

Breakfast was great. The staff was very friendly and I had no trouble modifying my selection to a vegetarian option. Nice atmosphere with Argentinian tango music 😍

Decent breakfast but a bit pricey and not varied enough. Interior is cozy and surprisingly spacey for a small cafe. Reduced 2 stars because of unfriendly staff and extremely noisy atmosphere. Staff did not care about noise complaints at all.

Classic cafe in heart of Töölö. All day breakfast and also adult beverages. You can sip your wine and do laundry. Summer terrace in Töölö market square. Preferred by locals. Daily soup and salad lunch options. French music and vibes. Gluten free options available and allergies are catered to.

Nice little cafe. I got a glass of house wine which was not bad. The staff let sit there for hours and no one came to annoy us to order more drinks or food, which i find very nice. I might go back if it is on my way.

I just had a coffee here and a chocolate croissant. It was perfect and delicious. The assortment of breakfast and drinks at this vafe are very good. It seems that they are fascinated by the comic book character Tin Tin. It makes for an interesting collection of art. I enjoyed grabbing a bite here and hope to come back soon to try a full breakfast.

Had a breakfast here and it was in fact my last meal in Helsinki. European breakfasts differ from 'Merican ones. But I got a plate that had cheeses, salami, bread, some other shit, and juice and coffee.. anyway, it was pretty basic, but ended up being a fair amount of food. So I was pleased. The place seems pretty laid back, seems pretty popular (though it wasn't too crowded), but most importantly, it's hip! Nice place to stop in, if it's not inconvenient to do so.

Found this place for breakfast on Yelp and it turned out to be pretty close to the hotel apartment we stayed at. Classic cafe and very popular with pretty much every age group it seemed, little old ladies on their own, middleaged men, teenagers, couples and families with well-behaved children. People ended up sharing tables with strangers and it was a lovely overall ambiance. I of course chose the vegetarian breakfast menu, which consisted of two rolls, butter, cheese, tea (from Johan&Nyström) or coffee, apple slices, cucumber and tomato, 1 boiled egg, juice and a fruit smoothie. One roll was adorably heart shaped and the breakfast was very generous and filling. We shared a freshly baked cinnamon bun too and it was wonderful. If I lived in the vicinity of Tin Tin Tango, I'd have breakfast there all the time!

Beautiful bfast. The coffee here is delicious! Orange juice is freshly squeezed. Great service. Loved the smoothie too.

I had the tango and a latte. Too much for me to eat at breakfast, but it was good. Orange juice was quite delicious, although this time of year I tend to prefer something warm to drink. This coffee shop was quite busy around 10am when I went, must be time for morning tea.

Nice traditional cafeteria with a cozy athmosphere. Couples come here for breakfast, friends meet up for a cup of coffee and sometimes you see well-known artists and writers working there. The Tango breakfast is really good here.

Cozy place with delicious breakfasts. In the cafe people come with the whole family, so there is a homely atmosphere.

Delightful atmosphere, the back section is pretty quiet. Drinks--my espresso macchiato was great, the cappuccino had a couple of grounds left at the bottom of the cup. Food--have tried only the pulla, it was good. Had a nice glaze, less sugary than usual (I consider that a plus). Quiet neighborhood--I recommend crossing Mannerheiminite afterward and walking around Toolonlahti which is 2 km around. Useful especially if you ate a lot of pastry:) I plan to become a regular customer.

4.5 but I'll round up. Cool casual spot for a delicious traditional Euro breakfast - including great self serve coffee with warm cream and refills. Lots of locals and just a chill high quality spot.

Found this place through Yelp reviews after long flights from Seattle, needing a good cappuccino and something decent to eat before crashing. Tin Tin Tango delivered on both fronts. Had the Tango breakfast and concur that the croissants are very good--French grade quality. Will definitely be back.

long opening hours, decent brunch, laid back vibe, and surprisingly good croissants. on a cold and windy day in HEL, you could do worse than pop in here and grab a coffee and Finnish pastry. Nicotineheads get a special heated terrace out front separate from the main place. its a nice little neighbourhood joint - reminding me a little of Manhattan or San Fran.

This super sympatic little café in Töölöntori is one of my favourite places to have a breakfast while reading the morning paper or seeing a friend over brunch. The café serves different set breakfast plates with good price-quality ratio. They have also a heated terrace all year around which is a nice stop for a winter Sunday walk. And the croisants there are to die for!

one of my absolute favorite cafés in Helsinki. Great place for working, for breakfast (available all day long), for catching up with a friend or just for chilling with a book. Its welcoming and cozy but sometimes it can be quite crowded but still very nice. The prices are unfortunately quite high as everywhere else in Helsinki. It's not a culinary experience in any way but the pleasant atmosphere makes up for that. You can even do your laundry here and gather a bunch of friends and book their sauna for the evening. Don't know any one who have tested that though...
