"Coffee and Cake at Café Tomaselli Café culture is an essential part of the Austrian experience, and there's no better place to find it in Salzburg than at the historic Café Tomaselli. Dating back to 1700 and owned by the Tomaselli family since 1852, the great coffees, delicious pastries, and warm ambience mean the marble-topped tables don't stay empty for long. It's a place to see and be seen, a traditional institution popular with visitors, intellectuals, and celebrities. Even Mozart was a regular here. His widow, Constanze, later returned to the city with their children and lived upstairs with her second husband, Georg Nikolaus von Nissen, from 1820 to 1826. A Mélange (similar to cappuccino) or Einspänner (mocha with thick whipped cream) are two top picks from the extensive coffee menu. Order pastries separately—from the large selection brought tableside by one of the so-called "cake maids."

Old, and a "good" old at that. Very reminiscent of Greek stores in the 1970s. I had nothing to complain about, in fact I can even offer praise. From the service, to the atmosphere, to the Viennese hot chocolate which we came here for it was all quaint, calm, and even a bit humorous. Maybe my exploration of the store's menu is not intensive, but the vibe is nostalgic, and the chocolate, to be perfectly clear, was really tasty. I give it five stars because I had a "five star" time.

Google
The cafe is stylish, old fashion ambiance and good atmosphere, think this is the main selling point, breakfast is average. It was quiet in the early morning. Very unfortunately, the waiter’s attitude was bad, he appeared impatient and even threw the change onto the table. Completely undermining the enjoyment of the dining experience.

Google
An ancient cafe right in the middle of the old town. A bit expensive like everything in the city, but the staff will ensure you have a great time! Ambience of the cafe is very cool, you would feel like you have been teleported to ancient time. We just had coffee and snack, which were both decent. In case you are done roaming around the old town, a good spot to relax and rest!

Google
I visited Café Tomaselli not just for the coffee but for the ambiance and the views of the courtyard area, and it did not disappoint. Sitting outside with a cappuccino and taking in the beautiful pastel-colored buildings and the lively yet relaxed feel of Salzburg was exactly what I was looking for. The café itself is charming and historic, and the outdoor seating gave me the perfect vantage point to admire this picturesque part of the city. The architecture around the courtyard is stunning, and even on an overcast day, it felt cozy and inviting. While the coffee and service were good, it was the setting and atmosphere that made the experience special. If you’re looking for a place to slow down and enjoy Salzburg’s charm, Café Tomaselli is the ideal spot. Come here for the vibe, the views, and a quiet moment in a historic and beautiful location.

Google
The oldest cafe Salzburg with a great view of the old town. Had the popular white sausages for the first time and it was great. Try a cup of hot chocolate with whipped cream, that was delicious! The pretzel and coffee were just okay. I’ll come and stay for just the relaxing view alone.

Google
Cafe tomaselli was very unique old cafe with high expectations for us we waited on line,to go in and we got a nice seat to seat near the noisy kitchen,I guess because we were Asian foreigner tourists but it just my feel.we ordered cafe and strudel we wanted apple strudel they didn’t have.the chess strudel was very bad.coffee tasted nice but cold.we payed over 30 euro for almost nothing.I don’t recommend this place at all try to find other options .

A delightful dining destination where you can savor delicious cuisine while soaking in the charming atmosphere of Salzburg. This nostalgic venue transports you back in time, offering a unique mix of history and warmth that makes every visit a memorable experience.

Google
This spot is super crowded. Their service is not exceptional, it is just average. It is good to visit once and tick it off the list but not a must try in each visit.

Yelp
Stopped by Tomaselli on a Sunday afternoon for a coffee after learning it was one of the more famous coffee houses in Austria. The service was good and the environment had a lot of character to it. The coffee was delicious and the whipped cream was thick and unique. Great spot!

Yelp
Food is amazing and came quickly. The service is hit and miss, depending on whether the server is busy or not. The inside is small, quaint and cozy just have to mindful of steps going into the eating area, plus curvy staircase with many more steps to the Men/Women bathroom

Yelp
This 300+ year coffee house is a nice detour for midday snacks. Some breakfast items but not much of a meal. They have many rooms. So if you don't see seats downstairs. Head upstairs. The staff are dressed in formal attire, but there are no requirements for you. The desserts are amazing. They also sport locally brewed beers.

Yelp
Historic café. Mozart visited this cafe when it was under a different name. The cafe has dark wood chairs with papery mesh seats, classic portraits of various persons on the walls, and dark wood wall accents to complement the cream-colored wallpaper. To order a pastry, you examine the pastries at display case and then tell your server what you want to eat. I tried the Haustorte. It was more dense and dry than I prefer, but I think that is consistent with the Austrian style. Overall, I would recommend visiting Café Tomasellí for the novelty of consuming a dessert in a historic space.

Jessica D.

Yelp
Wonderful coffee and service. Pastry was also divine. The atmosphere is of course amazing, and the prices weren't excessive beyond your traditional tourist area fare. I would visit again.

Yelp
This was one of my favorite places when I came to Salzburg back in 2015, and it's still good, just not as amazing as I remembered. Their hot chocolate is still elite, but their breakfast is kind of mediocre. Their desserts looked fantastic, so please try one for me! The service was fine, and the inside feels very old ice cream parlor.

Yelp
Supposedly the oldest cafe in Austria but it's also a bit of a tourist trap. The menu offers various coffee drink and breakfast items at elevated prices. You'll need to muscle for your own table here especially when it's crowded which is always. The wait staff while efficient are not the most friendly. The quality of the food is just average.

Yelp
Unfriendly, busy, touristy Kaffeehaus in a famous location. Far far too expensive for the quality they serve. If only it was actually pretty or "Mozart" inside...

Yelp
In my mind, a long train ride is like a little slice of heaven. I've become infatuated with the timelessness of it all, the way stepping into a traincar feels in some ways like stepping into another chapter of time. I love how it's sleepy and invigorating all at once, the way I'm lulled to sleep as we slip over the tracks yet am periodically woken up by the excited voice of a conductor, a reminder that I'm traversing land that begs to be seen. On this particular day, I found myself on a train from Vienna to Salzburg. I was swapping out a bustling city -- one that had enchanted me in just a few days' time -- for a sleepy mountain town with two very distinct claims to fame. The first is the renown that comes with being the birthplace of Mozart, the place where one of history's most distinguished composers found his footing. The second is the glamour derived from being the shooting locale for several scenes from The Sound of Music, a widely beloved film whose music had enraptured me just as it had enraptured much of the globe. And on this day, I can promise you -- the hills were very much alive. When I finally disembarked in Salzburg, I realized that the train station was in a part of town far more contemporary than I was expecting. By the time I passed both a Burger King and a Subway, I was verifiably confused. I thought to myself that Julie Andrews would have never stood for this, yet I continued further toward the town center, dodging small raindrops along the way. By the time I laid eyes on the Mirabell Palace, the first of many sites from the film I'd encounter that day, I was sold. It truly did feel like stepping into a storybook, a movie. A town that existed only in fiction, as if too picturesque to be part and parcel of reality itself. I strolled down cobbled streets lined with little shops hawking mozartkugel and other sweets, the pastel-colored buildings looking almost like treats themselves. It was undeniably charming, a cozy town nestled into the hillside with a history all its own. Read more reviews at letsgetdinner8.wordpress.com.

Yelp
Popular culture lace but was able to get in and find a seat. Service was good with fast response even though it was busy. Good selection and great deserts!

Yelp
My must-go whenever I visit Salzburg, Their Esterhazy torte and their Nusstorte are legendary, but make sure to try their almond milk -- that's cow milk with almonds, not milk made from almonds, a Mozart favorite -- and, if you like weisswurst, Cate Tomaselli is one of the few places that serve it after noon, and it's very good, with the traditional pretzel and sweet mustard (but no beer). The clientele consists of both locals and tourists. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Definitely worth a visit when you're in Salzburg. Service was friendly and fast. There's a great selection of coffee and recommend getting a cup of melange. We came here early morning for breakfast and was seated promptly. The interior is cozy with a traditional coffee house vibe. You'll see locals enjoying their coffee and reading the newspapers. They have a display case of their cakes and variety of sweets. Also love how they serve their coffees on the silver trays.

Yelp
Light snack before exploring. We order coffee, wine, cake, and a croissant. Though to get a balcony or outside table during busy times.

Yelp
Totally tourist trap. Coffee was average, torte was stale. Service was very very very slow. Very chaotic, maybe due to the Easter holiday traffic. Our server was very nice and apologetic for the slow service. I wish the food and coffee were better. Other coffee houses that we went to in Salzburg were amazing.

Yelp
A cafe in the Austrian tradition. Modern touches like decaf coffee available. There are several breakfast suggestions including well prepared eggs: fried or scrambled. Served piping hot with a bread roll. They have many pastries and cakes available. Friendly, professional waiters. This seemed to be a popular place for locals. Newspapers on wooden pegs as in the past. We quickly became regulars.

Yelp
The oldest coffee house in Austria I'm told. Stopped in here for a late breakfast. This cafe was bustling and there was a modest wait to get a table. The venue is very elegant and upscale. We ordered a good number of dishes. Everything was good though not outstanding. I think overall it's a nice place to go for the ambiance and the experience, but the food is not spectacular. For example, the sausage was very hot dog-like in my opinion.

Yelp
A historic cafe near Residenzplatz in Salzburg, it is rumored that this is the same place that Mozart and his family frequented. We showed up at 735, shortly after they opened and were promptly seated. Newspapers are available in German for people to read while enjoying a morning coffee. The pastries were not out yet and were still being prepared. We ordered two large coffees with cream, a cheese omelette with a croissant, and two sausages and a roll. The sausages where juicy and light and were served with fresh horseradish and mustard. The cheese omelette was incredibly cheesy and buttery and went well with the pastry. Dogs are allowed inside and you get a chance to see how the locals enjoy their mornings in this sleepy mountain town. Service was friendly and quick and our waiter was fairly attentive. It's definitely a place to go visit before embarking on any major tourist attraction in Salzburg.

Yelp
A very delightful place to sit in an outdoor cafe and people watch. Since the place has been open since 1705 I'd say they are doing OK. There seemed to be a surprisingly local crowd for a rather tourist area. The place is neat, clean and ever so high quality coffeehouse/cafe. Our waiter was very friendly and efficient and seemed to keep everything flowing quite well. We had a "Lobsters lemon and mint" drink and a tall glass of a chocolate ice cream drink, both very refreshing. It came with a side of water on a beautiful serving tray. They bring around a large covered tray of pastries should you decide to have some. We declined but it looked very tempting. A little bit pricey, but not outrageous, and a oh so wonderful place to hang out for awhile.

Yelp
Classic coffee place in historic center in Salzburg. We came for breakfast, we had orange juice, fruit salad, ham & cheese omelette and scrambled eggs. Of course black coffee to start our day! Everything was tasty, the waiter was kind, though a little bit slow.

Yelp
In this area of Salzburg, expect everything to be touristy. This place, especially. Cafe Tomaselli is among the oldest cafes in Austria, and even Mozart came here (this dude was born in 1756). Besides a history lesson, Cafe Tomaselli offers a huge variety of breakfast items and cakes. I've tried some other cafes around here, but this place is my favorite. I didn't get to try this because I came at 7:00a, but in the afternoon, the second floor balcony is open and it overlooks the plaza. Everyone recommends sitting there for people-watching. I think it's worth it. My friend Sherry and I came here twice, and we ordered eggs (scrambled and soft-boiled. I prefer soft-boiled), croissant (must-get), muesli (oatmeal, really good and filling), and apfelstrudel (apple strudel, a general must-try in Austria). I had my first European croissant here, and I was hooked. It's so flaky and soft... We also shared a hot chocolate, which I really loved! So rich and chocolaty... As for service, don't expect it to be great in Europe. Good thing they accept both card and cash.

Yelp
TLDR: Go to Cafe Konditorei Fürst instead! Worst service in all that we experienced in Salzburg. Multiple events caused us to leave prior to eating. When we first entered, we were told to go upstairs. We went upstairs, noticed that many tables were reserve, found a table not reserved and sat down. Waiters scurried by and we finally flagged a young man down for a menu. He gave us one menu to share between the four of us. Ok fine, we can deal. Then another gentleman approached us and rudely told us we can only sit outside. Ok, not a problem. We don't mind sitting outside despite the drizzle. As the drizzle became more intense, I told my sons let's move inside as I don't want to eat wet cake. As I made my way downstairs an old man yelled at me for taking my menu. As I turned around to return it, he yelled at me twice more "put the menu back!" That was it as I refuse to be treated this way. We made our way across to Cafe Konditorei Fürst and experienced the COMPLETE opposite. We had warm and friendly service. The cake and coffee were great! Skip this tourist trap with terrible service.

Ian R.

Yelp
If you are a tourist I wouldn't go here expecting to enjoy the service. The food and drinks are very good but the customer service was absolutely horrible. Our waiter not only inappropriately touched one of the women at our table, but chased me out of the restaurant when I did not leave a tip for his awful service. I will never be back and will happily tell people to dine across the street instead.

Yelp
Came in for brunch after 10am mass at the Salzburg Cathedral, and was able to sit down right away inside. We were waiting for someone to come seat us at first but another kind customer told us that you seat yourself. Food options included ham & eggs, omelettes, mixed platter (turkey, salami, cheese), croissants, etc. We ordered a couple - nothing outstanding but decent. Coffee was rather good, however. And of course, we also got cake. The coffee cake had a tall layer of coffee mousse in the middle with a sort of meringue crust and topping. Really light and delicious. The truffle cake was alright - dense and seemed to have a lot of nuts. The food/drinks and desserts are to be ordered and paid to separate waiters/waitresses. I believe it was cash only. Our food/drinks server was really great! Very attentive and funny. I would definitely like to come back!

Yelp
Although it's pretty touristy, this is a really great cafe/coffee shop in Salzburg. I grew up eating some pretty amazing strudel that my aunt would make and it's been hard over the years to find a strudel quite like it. The last few times I've been through Austria (and even Salzburg) I couldn't find a place that made it quite right until I came to Cafe Tomaselli. By the time I took my first bite, I was sold. Knowing the history of this cafe, I know it won't close down anytime soon so my only hope is that they never change the recipe for their strudel as it is so hard to find it made in this exact style. You don't get vanilla sauce with it which is fine as it doesn't need it and it has the right amount of powdered sugar sifted on top of it. I pretty much only drink coffee in German speaking countries as its the only coffee I like and the coffee from this cafe is pretty exceptional smooth, a balanced flavor, and the addition of cream of sugar (to me personally) makes it really fantastic! I came on a Sunday morning (around 8:30) and the cafe was not busy. The gentleman who seated us was pretty rude and I didn't appreciate that but our server was really friendly, helpful, and kind. I WILL come to this cafe every single time I visit Salzburg. The strudel is just perfect!
google avatar

Livia R.

Yelp
Every time we visit Salzburg, we stop at Cafe Tomaselli. If you come for anything other than their cake and ice cream, then why even bother. They have nice outdoor seating.

Yelp
Great coffee and dessert in a classic Salzburg Coffee House My wife & I recently went to Salzburg with a Tour Group. One day a group of friends I was with went to Cafe Tomaselli. One of our group had said that Rick Steves had suggested this was a good place to go in Salzburg. Well. He was right. We all had some delicious coffee - several different types and flavors - and some dessert. These folks were smart. They bring to your table a tray full of actual desserts you can eat right then and there. Yes, "instant ordering" with no wait does work. Yes, the coffee was quite enjoyable as well. I decided to try a different coffee for me - the Melange. Although it appeared to be similar to a Cappuccino with more milk than coffee; it was still quite good. The chocolate cake was very good as well. Of course, you simply cannot go wrong when "Chocolate" is one of the ingredients in your dessert. Turns out we did right by listening to Rick Steves - of course. If you are looking for good coffee and dessert in Salzburg, you will also be glad you decided to check out Cafe Tomaselli as well. I know I was glad to get what I did.
google avatar

Andrew T.

Yelp
Ate here without knowing it was a place that Mozart used to chill at when he lived in Salzburg. That aside - nice outdoor seating, nice indoor decor, and a nice selection of stuff. I went with sausages for breakfast because my blood-pork level was getting low, and it as a good decision, as weird as coffee and sausage is, I was totally happy about it and didn't get a funny look from the waiter or anything. I didn't sample any of the cakes or sweets, but they had a good assortment and they looked good...I just can't vouch. If you need a place for a coffee, semi-historic, nice place to chill for a minute, this will do the trick.

Yelp
Adorable historic cafe in Salzburg. We were there on a very rainy day and it was beyond packed. Everyone seemed to be happy to be in out of the rain and enjoy the cozy warmth of coffee, breakfast and pastries. I had tea and the traditional apple strudel, and my husband had an egg and sausage breakfast dish and a fruit tart. The fruit tart was our favorite of the items we tried. The servers handled the crowd expertly. If they were annoyed, they didn't show it. I was amazed at how they could so efficiently keep track of al the people and tables coming and going, particularly when everyone seats themselves. Worth a visit if you are in Old Town Salzburg.

Christina S.

Yelp
Enjoyed a full breakfast here on a recent trip to Salzburg. It was beyond delicious, and the service / atmosphere were fantastic.

Yelp
A great cafe for desserts and kaffee. I enjoyed their eispanner kaffe and chocolate mousse cake. The vanilla/cinnamon with nuts cake was excellent. Service was quick and friendly.

Yelp
This place is always packed because it's the oldest café inSalzburg . Did it live up to all the hype? We found it very pleasant. We sat out on the patio that had a view of the Square. The servers were very friendly and the restaurant has elegant atmosphere. The menu is fairly basic Consisting of specialty coffees, pastries, Omelets, poached eggs, cheese etc. We ordered one coffee and one hot chocolate with two poached eggs. The coffee was good and the food was normal but it is worth checking out. I love a restaurant with history
google avatar

Samantha Y.

Yelp
Sat there half an hour, not served. Meanwhile locals that came after were served immediately. Fine for preferring locals but half an hour wait to be served? Also the cake lady was rude.
google avatar

Juli D.

Yelp
Great place for desserts and coffee. I came here one morning for breakfast and split a couple of pastries with my sister. Waiters walk around with trays of pastries and you basically just pick the ones you want. We had a chocolate and strawberry one that was amazing. It was such a perfect day to start the day. The ambiance is great. It's a very refined cafe and you can tell it's a place where locals frequent. The breakfast menu offers a huge variety of everything you'd need to have a truly authentic Austrian breakfast. There are also small private rooms if you want a little more quiet and privacy to read your morning paper. The cafe is truly beautiful. The inside is covered in crystal chandeliers, mirrors, stucco ceiling and historic pictures on the walls.

Yelp
As Austria's oldest coffee house, and as a place that was frequented by Mozart himself (his house is right down the street), Cafe Tomaselli is always packed. You will definitely have a difficult time trying to find a spot here to sit as locals battle it out with Asian tourists on their Sound of Music bus tours to find a place to have some afternoon coffee with cake. One of their specialty drinks is the "Mozart's Almond Milk," (4€, literally just almond milk with cream) that was said to be the favorite of the composer himself. That's right, this place has figured out how to charge roughly US$5 for a glass of milk. They also have different coffees and hot chocolates that you can order, all around 4,50€ each. Go with this option. Don't be that tourist that buys a glass of milk for US$5 because you're in Salzburg and it has the word Mozart in it. A slice of the various cakes will cost 4,50€ each as well, and they are a little bit more hit or miss. Their double chocolate cake was not nearly as good as their chestnut cake or cheesecake (which was a lot fluffier and lighter than the American version that I'm used to). Since 1705 (because there were definitely credit cards then), this place has been cash only - you will also be charged separately for drinks and cakes. If you manage to come on a day with good weather, I highly suggest sitting on the balcony to get some great people-watching views of the plaza right across from the restaurant. If you're visiting Salzburg, definitely take a stop here before you explore the rest of the core of the city.

Mike R.

Yelp
Good torte but poor service in general. The staff just tend to ignore you. Our waitress was adequate and nice but the rest of the staff seemed arrogant and actively unhelpful.
google avatar

Kimberlee A.

Yelp
Walked in with a Starbucks cup from earlier in the day and they refused to serve me. Even though I was there to purchase more tea and strudel. Working against themselves there.
google avatar

Kristi Y.

Yelp
The service here was terrible. We got our pastries served as soon as we sat down at our table. But my husband and I waited for 20 min for a server to come over to our table to take our drink order! There was a tourist group (of 30 ppl) that came in a while later we sat down, but the server took their order first before coming over to our table. The cakes and coffee tasted great. But service wise, we weren't that thrilled.

Yelp
We were tired of walking around and wanted to rest, so we decided to stop by here. The waiter was super great and very friendly, and spoke English fluently. He took our drink order. The cake lady brought lots of cakes on a tray and we picked what you wanted and paid to her right there. Cakes and cappuccino were really good and we had a great time here.
google avatar

Julie J.

Yelp
This restaurant is beautiful and historic in the old Salzburg tradition. The waiters speak English. And the views from the balcony are memorable.
google avatar

Godfrey Z.

Yelp
Recommended by a local lady, one of best cafe around old city of Salzburg. Coffee and dessert are all nice with reasonable price.
google avatar

Zach W.

Yelp
Having heard that Cafe Tomaselli is Austria's oldest coffee house, we thought we had to give this place a visit. We sat on the upper patio and had a great view of Mozart's Square. The service was top notch. We got a coffee and a bowl of coffee ice cream. Both were impeccable! Well worth the price. If you are looking for something more affordable, stick to the takeaway cafe at floor level - you can get a scoop of ice-cream for a quarter of the price, although you will miss out on the beautiful view and great service.
google avatar

Martin D.

Yelp
A must stop for US travelers in Austria. Exceptional service and delicious sweets. Be aware the coffee service is separate from the sweets service. You will pay each server for what they have provided you.
google avatar

Hannah T.

Yelp
I had higher expectations for one of best coffee shops in Salzburg. The coffee and desserts were mediocre. The service was okay, nothing special.
google avatar

Rick M.

Yelp
Went for coffee and a small breakfast. Got a cheese omelet. Very good. Wait staff was very attentive. Highly recommend this cafe.
google avatar

Yelp
Good place to stop for a iced coffee on a hot day. It is busy here, especially on their patio, but their indoor seating is great as well.
google avatar

Vanessa V.

Yelp
The food is good. The higlight of the place is the vintage feel, it's a lobely charming restaurant. If possible sit outside, upper level, you'll have a lovely view. I had the scrambled eggs and ham, my faughter had a croissant with a delicious jam.
google avatar

Elaine L.

Yelp
I love the coffee and desert! It was the best coffee I've ever had! Breakfast is available anytime. I ordered breakfast at lunchtime and it came with great portion and fed me well. It was very Austrian.
google avatar

Marissa C.

Yelp
Americans take note! This is not the coffee shop where you whiz in and grab your drink and whisk away like a bandit! This is not the place where you blather on your cell phone like a dolt! (Actually, stop doing those things altogether, it's annoying.) This is the place where you DRINK coffee. By that I mean, you are seated by a lovely host, offered a menu and then invited to enjoy the view, the history and ambiance of great minds. Your coffee will always come with a saucer, it will always be accompanied by a glass of water and raw sugar and it will be so extraordinarily good that you will not suck it down like an animal, you will sip, you will savor, you will live a little. I invite you to select a seat upstairs on the balcony facing the platz if one is available, because the people watching is not to be missed. The staff at Tomaselli are delightful and appreciated my novice attempts at the german language (in fact all Austrians are generally gracious about this, much to be admired). A visit to Salzburg is not complete without an afternoon at Tomaselli. I recommend attending Mass at the Dom during the Festival when there is sure to be a beautiful piece by Mozart on the roster played by world-class musicians (it's free but please donate in kind to the Dom!), and then coming here afterwards for an espresso and dessert.

Yelp
This place gets mixed reviews from locals - some love the very traditional nature of it, heck, after 700 years they get the pastries and the coffees right. That said, it has a well founded reputation for nasty waiters - or at least ones ambivalent about getting you out of there in any kind of reasonable time frame. Though I would refer you back to Marissa C's comments about not being too much in a rush regardless. Hubby and I have been here twice, once on a weekend away and we just got back from a breakfast with the kids. Both times breakfast has been amazing - hubby is particular to the ham omelet which comes steaming (and I mean don't even think about moving your plate, hot) and is delicious - I've always gotten their ham and cheese plate with a side of two eggs - always perfectly cooked over easy, no shells to deal with. Delicious all around. During the most recent adventure the kids got hot chocolates and croissants (I know, comments on my step parenting and caloric wastelands can be addressed separately) and just loved every bit of it. The youngest, being that she is on an egg hiatus at present, even tried some of my ham and cheese. Beware - unless you tell them otherwise every coffee item will come with cream on top - and I don't mean the reconstituted variety that comes from a pressurized can, rather the kind that is hand whipped from real whole cream. Even a melange which means something different in Vienna comes with cream here. 'Ohne schlag' is the phrase to know if you want yours without cream. The people watching from the patio's can't be beat. Everyone from the dirndl and lederhosen crowd to the asian tourists are here and/or wandering through the square. Indifferent waiters beware, I'll be coming back whenever I'm in town and making sure I get a good dose of the Tomaselli goodness.
