We stopped by for lunch and are so glad we did! This was the best meal we have had in Laos so far, the pumpkin and Laos sausage curry with the purple sticky rice is absolutely incredible. We also got the tofu larb which was packed with flavour and came with a mix of fresh salad and veggies. Loved our meal here, we will be recommending this place to all of our friends ☺️

I don’t know if I could fairly review this place. We waited over 45 min before we got our food. We didn’t get an app because we order in true Asian style: 3 mains for 2 people. In Thailand, where I lived for 7 years, salads, soups, ‘mains’ would all be served at the same time (or as soon as they are finished so the food always comes out hot). After 45 minutes, I was famished and would have thought a Big Mac to be delicious. If your kitchen can’t handle the volume, reduce the number of tables. Sadly, even though I was absolute famished, I thought the food was good but nothing amazing. Lai style grilled beef. Susi pa. Kua Gai Set Het (so unforgettable that I had to by process of elimination perusing thru the menu figure out what I got, granted it was 2 months ago) - this was by far the worst and bland dish. In fact, all of the dishes could have been amped up in spices; it was almost like they adjusted the taste for westerners. Maybe it would be better to come to this place midday. We were there midweek at 8pm. Oct 2024.

Small restaurant with proper Laotian traditional food, wonderful flavours. Highly recommended. We tried a bit of everything and every dish was excellent.

A really great place to try Laotian food. I got the Ping Kai (grilled chicken), Mok Pa (steamed fish in banana leaves) and sticky rice. Everything was really good. The service was great too.

Ping Pa (fish) was delicious. Family place serving great local food at reasonable prices. Right in the heart of the old town. I eat here at least once, everytime I visit.

Came here 2 days ago for lunch and then dinner again as the food and service was good. For lunch, I was the only customer throughout- I got the pumpkin curry with rice and mango juice. The curry was really yummy and I liked how the rice was soft and well cooked. Service was excellent too. I sat where the only fan was. For dinner, there was a couple seated where the fan was so I sat elsewhere but it was very warm as there was no aircon nor other fans on. Ordered the mango prawn salad, steamed fish in banana leaves, rice and pineapple smoothie. The steamed fish (mok po) was really delicious and the highlight of my meal. The mango salad had very little mango and seemed more of a general prawn salad that happened to have a bit of mango in it. The prawns were huge and fresh though. I enjoyed the meals and service so much I went back the next 2 days but sadly they were closed (the next day was a festival so many shops were closed but they also closed the day after). Seems like their opening hours are erratic so I recommend you come only if you're nearby so to not make wasted trips like I did.

Came here several times during our stay in Luang Prabang. Safe to say it is one of our favourite restaurants in all of Laos! Every dish we tried was really well balanced, fresh and delicious. We tried the pumpkin, chicken and prawn curries and each had its own very nuanced complex flavours. We thought the staff were lovely too :) highly recommend
