Café Tre Konger

Do not go here if you are in a hurry! It is a really lovely looking interior and good quality food. However, it took an age for our order to be taken and then for the food to arrive. The cook seemed to have a meltdown part way through the evening. It gets 3 stars because the food was so good. Otherwise, it would be lucky to get 1.

A pleasant place with attentive service and delicious dishes. This restaurant in a charming small town was a delightful surprise. Prices are average for the country, and the menu offers good options, including for people with dietary restrictions. The first photo is of the King Oluf Sandwich, and the second photo is of the Pasta with Salmon, with generous portions of salmon. The rustic potatoes were delicious 🤩😋

We both had an herb-baked salmon, and for dessert one had pan cakes with ice cream, and I had a classic Danish “æblekage”. The food was excellent but not extraordinary. The atmosphere was quite pleasant, (possibly because there were not entirely filled). The service, however, was outstanding; smiling, cheerful, charming, attentive, and quick – everything above expectations!

The cook was on a break when we were there, and they only served muffins and cookies. Unfortunately, the muffin and cookie weren't that good. It tastes like supermarket food and not handmade. The restaurant itself was beautiful. It used to be an old cinema.

Everything is fine. But nothing extraordinary.

We were allowed to bring the dog, which was impossible in all other places downtown. Service and food were great!
