Came here for lunch during our family trip to Vigan. They have a parking lot across the street, left of Grandpa's Inn & Restaurant. Cafe Uno offers a lot of classic Filipino dishes like Kare Kare, pinakbet (or pakbet), bagnet, and salted egg with tomatoes. Best paired with their delicious garlic fried rice! They have a condiments station where you can combine your favorite vinegars, fish sauces and chilies with a squeeze of fresh calamansi, a nice sauce to dip your crispy pork bagnet in. We ordered two kinds of bagnet, one that was just fried with no sauce, one fried with a shrimp paste sauce (armang) and tomatoes. Both were tasty and fulfilled my bagnet cravings until I return to Ilocos Sur again. I especially enjoyed the Kare Kare, which unlike curry (which is what it sounds like), has a peanut-y sauce with ox tail and mixed vegetables like eggplant, okra, and beans.
In addition, Cafe Uno is only a block away from the UNESCO world heritage Calle Crisologo, so what perfect way to have a meal here, followed by a stroll down history lane.
