Café Ventura

We came here on our last night in paris and were greeted by a server named Cedric who was extremely welcoming, kind and helpful. we explained that we wanted to try some authentic french food before going home and he took the time to go through the menu and highlight all of his favourites, tell the stories behind the dishes and made some excellent recommendations. really great service!

Delicious food with even better service we were accommodated at near closing time and still managed to wangle a steak, burger, beer and chocolate mousse. The sauces and accompaniments like mash potato were beautiful. Lots of cream and butter. And the steak and burger were delicious. I did feel it was quite overpriced however at 34 for a steak and 20 for a burger. Still, the service was exceptional with an incredibly lively, friendly and warm waitstaff with crazy energy.

It was our first time visiting Paris, and while walking through Montmartre, we stopped at Café Ventura. What an unforgettable evening! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the food was absolutely delicious. Cedric took great care of us we truly felt at home. Once we're back in Paris, we will definitely return! Merci!

Stopped for breakfast while exploring Montmartre. I speak some basic French but my husband doesn't, and we noticed the waitress was very impatient through their interactions. There wasn't much people for breakfast time. The food was good, nothing out of the ordinary but I could taste they use high quality ingredients.

Been here 3x since Saturday 4/19. Café Ventura is situated in Rue Des Martyrs about a 4 min walk from Le Pigalle and a 16 min walk from Montmartre. What a great find! Have tried Dîner, then Déjeuner then petit-déjeuner. Thanks for the great service all around from the whole staff and from our servers: Amine, Nadia £ Rafael. The first time was for early Dîner. Service from the whole staff was friendly and efficient and it helped that they sent us a server Amine who could not only translate the specials for us, but was friendly and entertaining. We shared a French Onion Soup to start which we enjoyed. Their homemade iced tea here is the best we’ve had in the area. For our mains, I ordered a Steak-Frite special of the day - Bavette Steak with Gorgonzola and Bone Marrow which was exquisite. Hubs ordered a perfectly roasted Cabillaud (cod) in parsnips purée and white butter served with mashed p. It was hard to pick a dessert as they had quite a lineup but we ended up with something we don’t have in the US - Poire Belle-Helene which is Poached Pears with Valrhona chocolate, vanilla ice cream, hazelnuts and pine nuts. Would absolutely order everything again! We came back for Déjeuner on Easter Monday with Nadia as our server. The place was packed inside and they were already sold out of the Lamb special. I went for the Noix d’ entrêcote (ribeye w peppercorn) and my hubs went for Caesar Salad with chicken. Both were excellent choices. Then on Tuesday morning, we came here for petit-déjeuner with Rafael. Finally got to try their Brioche Perdue (French toast) with hot chocolate and Crêpes Citron with Caffe Americano for my hubs. We are not leaving until Saturday, hopefully they will have the Steak w Bone Marrow again before we leave 🤞🏼. Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5

My favourite Parisian breakfast spot. Great coffee, bread and pastries and wonderful service from friendly staff.

This is a nice hidden place inside the Pigalle area. Super delicious drinks and super friendly staff that will make the night light up in unexpected ways - shout out to the French-Italian waitress that helped us choose the best options for gluten and lactose free drinks. Recommended.

The best food I’ve had in Paris this trip, and the type of place that makes Paris so unique and special. Chef Cyprien is in his own category! Simply incroyable!
