Very nice restaurant! Service is perfect, attentive staff, and they altered their food options to suit our food allergies. Very short wait for food, which was fairly priced, large quantities, and very tasty. We went 2 nights in a row, and we would definitely recommend it.

An amazing and historic place that will leave you wanting to take some coffee beans to bring back home. The owner was very nice, and the view from the balcony is beautiful. Enjoy!

Food came over an hour after we ordered it. We got steaks and they asked how we wanted them cooked. We asked for rare and medium rare, it arrives dry as hell and like a brick. AND an hour late. Unbelievable. Beautiful location but awful service and quality control. *review edit* Second steak arrived only 15 minutes later. It was indeed VERY RARE. The quality of the sauce was very very good and the meat cut was also great. All the elements for this place are there, just some finesse is missing.

the atmosphere is nice (beautiful antique design) and there's a nice view of the sea. but the food was bland for me, and one of the waiters seemed very uninterested in being there. the other waiter was kind and helpful. no wifi for anyone looking to possibly work from this cafe.

Dadinhos de tapioca was pretty small but it was one of the BEST Dadinhos de tapioca I’ve never had!!!:) Sandwich Matisse was good too! A quite rich and tasty cream cheese! Torta dos deuses was a fantastic tart!A bitter chocolate and a passion fruit cream match very well. Also they have a great ocean view and a sweet cat:) We arrived ten minutes before their opening time and few people were already waiting outside! If you want a terrace seat, it might be better to arrive earlier!

Horrible. It took 1h30 to be served and it was extremely expensive, such a shame ! The waiters we’re clearly serving the « brazilian tables » before ours, never seen that in my life. I had to say we are going to leave and cancel the order in order to be served three minutes after I got mad, it litterally took 1h30 after ordering ! It’s a shame, worst service and kitchen ever in Salvador, they didnt even think to offer the drinks or anything, DON’T go THERE !

Many great things are already written about cafelier in other reviews. They're all true. The torta dos deuses dessert is just delicious, 100% delicious. The rondele de espinafre com ricotta is also a must.

This place is great! It is recommended on the 36 hours in Salvador article so my husband and I had to try it! The view of the water is lovely and since you're on a mountain, it feels like you're in a cafe in the sky. We only dropped in for coffees, but they had a food menu too that looked very good. The coffees were excellent- perked us right up! Wish we had more time so we could frequent the place more. Highly recommended!
