An Aesthete’s Guide to the Algarve | Vogue

"In Loulé, colorful, quirky interiors—down to a ceramic octopus tentacle that cradles the cutlery—mirror a bold, globally influenced kitchen. Dishes range from a fried empanada stuffed with octopus and green curry to a mousse of monkfish liver in a deeply flavored onion sauce, all delivered with playful confidence." - Chadner Navarro

The culinary highlight of our Algarve vacation, a little off the beaten track n away from the coastal tourist crowds of Albufeira & surroundings. From the moment we walked in the service was excellent and friendly. The rooftop terrace is gorgeous & the atmosphere all you could wish for on a cosy romantic summer night. The food was fantastic, drinks as well 🤤 The staff made sure to incorporate all my dietary restrictions during pregnancy & even made sure to not have people smoke on surrounding tables 🥹 I felt really well cared for. We will definitely come back on our next trip to Algarve and recommend this to all our friends we know are headed this way!

A gorgeous space, attentive friendly service and interesting small plates for sharing. We have eaten here a few times and the menu is always different and very good.

Wonderful upscale eatery with a refined menu and a staff who seems to sincerely care about the whole experience. The food is changing a bit all the time, we tried the tasting menu and everything was great along side an extra seafood pastry off the main menu. The wine selection is carefully crafted and the team really does pour love into their craft from the front of the house to the back of the house. Bravo

This restaurant was recommended to us by our hotel, and we had no idea what to expect – but it turned out to be a truly wonderful experience. We chose the smaller tasting menu, which was excellent in every way. The service was outstanding, and the atmosphere was simply beautiful, especially with the rooftop terrace where we could watch the sunset. An unforgettable evening!

An amazing little gem in the centre of Loulé. We had the tasting menu with wine paring. Overall the food and wine was interesting and surprising, I just feel that it is a bit too expensive. The kids menu is very plain. The staff is super attentive and knowledgeable about the food. We had an excellent time.

Fantastic place for foodies! Loved everything - the tasting menu and wine pairings were stunning. We stumbled across it by accident after two places we were going to try were closed and one was booked out. The roof terrace has fantastic views and the staff are extremely knowledgeable and informative. A perfect evening.

This was my second visit (last time was 5 months ago). Both times the service was impeccable, the servers were extremely knowledgeable about the provenance of the food and the Portuguese heritage behind them. This is casual fine dining - not teeny tiny portions but small enough that the 6 dishes we ordered between 2 people was perfect. My only criticism is that from the menu it was not always clear what you were going to get and we were not expecting the prawns to be raw. Regretfully I didn’t take photos of all the menu but there is a selection below of some of the dishes. We decided not to have the tasting menu but the helpful and friendly sommelier was still able to do matched wines due to coravin. The total was €160 for 6 dishes with matched wines. Pricier than a standard Portuguese restaurant but compared to nearby Michelin starred restaurants this is extremely good value and the standard is very similar. We happily recommend it and will return!
