Unpleasant and stressful experience — would not recommend.
During my trip to Rome, I stopped at this restaurant for a quick lunch, drawn by its convenient location near the Spanish Steps. Initially, the setting seemed charming, and I was hoping for a relaxing meal.
However, the experience turned out to be anything but relaxing. After I sat down and ordered a small pizza and a drink, the staff immediately insisted that I must order a full meal. I explained that I wasn't very hungry and just needed a small portion, but they kept pressuring me, saying that it was a "restaurant policy."
It became quite uncomfortable when a second staff member came over and repeated the demand. I was told, rather firmly, that if I didn't order a main course, I might have issues with the service. Instead of enjoying my time, I felt rushed and unwelcome.
In all my travels across Italy, I have never encountered a place where guests are made to feel like an inconvenience simply because they aren't ordering enough. Most Italian restaurants are known for their warmth and hospitality — this was the complete opposite.
I ended up leaving before even receiving my order because the atmosphere became too unpleasant.
It’s a pity because the location is great, but the way guests are treated is simply not acceptable.
