Stunning iconic location. We had few drinks only (will have to go back for ice-cream) and they came with some tiny sandwich type canapés that were very nice. Good and quick service. The downside is the toilet, only one for such an iconic place is unjustifiable, old and mot very clean, a really bad note.

I just enjoyed a local cedrata with a gorgeous view right in the middle of the piazza. Service was attentive and polite. Their terrace invites to connect with others. The inside is a masterpiece from back in the days. Don’t miss it.

We sat inside and had one of the gelato sundaes and the afrogato. Both were incredibly delicious! It was a very busy time and the waiters were running all over the place. We were seated but we did not get menus or have our orders taken until we flagged someone down 10-15 minutes after being seated. So if things are busy don’t be afraid to flag them down! otherwise it was a beautiful experience and I can’t wait to return!

Excellent bicerin, amazing hot chocolate, tasty toasts, friendly atmosphere in one of the most historic cafes in the beautiful city of Torino. Located in the majestic piazza Carignano, Pepino is THE place to go when you find yourselves in Torino.

Very old little Café downtown Turin, next to the Museo Egizio, very famous for its ice creams since 1884.

A place to stop, drink a coffee or grab an ice cream. I came because of their famous ice cream sticks. There is a variety of flavors. I choose Gianduja, which is the best invention in the food world. I bought the ice cream in the window on the side of the building. It cost 3 euros. The packaging is beautiful, and the taste is also enjoyable. I think it is worth a try. You also can find Il Pinguino in some cafeterias and supermarkets around the city at a lower price.

The best: 2good2go pack, 4€ full of tramezzini and brioche. Tried the bicerin coffee here, it was ok. The frappe was better tho. Ice cream here must be their specialty. Some selection of great Pisco surprised me, as a peruvian you don't find Pisco everywhere here in Italy. Inside is antique deco and outside you can enjoy the square full of people and some musicians in the street playing alive.

Yelp
Pepino is another gelato shop that was on the list of best gelato in Turin. I was fortunate enough to get to try it at the airport just before going through security. I'm not sure if it was too early in the morning, but I thought the gelato was a bit too sweet. The stracciatella also had chocolate chips that were too thick. I like stracciatella with very thin chocolate chips so it tastes and feels lighter, but it was a bit too much for me. Then again, I had it at 10 AM so might've been too early!

Yelp
Pepino is well-know for its gelato. Have a copperto of gianduja on the terrace of the Piazza Carignano while admiring the Museo Nazionale del Rosorgimento (the massive but beautiful red bricks building) and you'll start to feel the dolce vita. Pepino is also a caffe and a restaurant. I've tested the gelato (extremly addictive !) and the brunch on a grey Sunday. For 20€, you'll have an enormous buffet of starters (italian style : antipasti, delicatessen, vegetables, polpette and so on), a choice between 2 hot meals, an enormous buffet of desserts (cakes, pies and biscuits), water, breasticks (the real Italians breadsticks!) and a caffe. Brunch starts at noon, I suggest you to make a reservation. The place is nice : furnitures and decoration may seem too simple for ones but it's the way for Italian to make you feel at home. Waiters and waitresses are kind, professionnals and even helpful for tourists like myself. Customers are very different : couples, family with young children, tourists.

Yelp
Pepino is famous for inventing ice cream on a stick. This gelateria was established in 1884 so who is to say if they did or didn't invent the ice cream novelty-on-a-stick? I ordered some gelato from the outside window and took it away while I strolled & window-shopped in Turin. I felt that the gelato was very good. I have been testing gelaterias based on their Pistachio flavor. With the nut flavor I chose a canteloupe melon. Both gelato flavors tasted great! Peeking inside the doorway, the restaurant is a very refined, upscale establishment. The location makes it a quick break from the office and a break from being in tour groups. A sweet treat for sure!

Yelp
Stopped in for a quick drink. Not worth the money for the limited menu and service very very slow. Writing this review in the 10 minutes since I had to request the bill, whilst watching the waiter I asked flirt with two women at another table. In short, good ice cream or not, couldn't say, but don't waste your time coming here.

Yelp
Pepino has the best ice cream ever. I have tasted ice cream all over the place, but nothing beats the creama pepino. It is silk soft and bursts full of taste. If you are in Torino and love ice cream (gelato), this is the place.
