Caffe Italia

We were expecting this place to be awesome according to the reviews, but it was far from that high rating. The food was pretty plain, nothing special, but what really felt weird is the staff - some guys were randomly walking around and you could not even understand if they are waiters or just the clients, as well as the atmosphere at the place was kind of a ... Brutally vulgar. Can't say that our experience was very bad, but we definitely would not come there again.

Not fish nor meat - I would say if I would like to describe first emption about this place in traditional Russian. First note - these guys are avoiding taxes and sell their products and services illegally so do not accept credit cards; by the way - if you book a table they'll have to put your name on it, but when you will not see table with YOUR name - it's fake to sell best places by hostess to someone who is ready to pay some extra not to seat next to toilet/entrance to the cafe (note entrance is leading to the street directly and you'll have a cold breeze from outside instantly). This place is quite big, but zones are splitted for three parts - disco bar (vulgar mirrors included), gastro bar (in the middle) and ice cream court. Coffee is Good, a bit sore but you may dare to book it without milk, even as restretto. When you'll finally get your meal you'll not get fork and knife - but you should ask for it to be informed which tools are situated INSIDE the table. Salads are good but a bit too much vinegar and sore. So be careful- weak stomach will not handle it. In case you'll book pasta - check the type before booking. It may cause you'll get not that you expected. Anyway, waiters are not helpful AT ALL. Lazy bastards even not pour a vine in your glass unless you'll ask for it. Anyway, toilets are good and clean, have enough sitting places for guests. Fillers full of toilet paper and liquid soap. Wine is good and price is not outstanding thanks to tax avoidance. Ice cream is perfectly good and cream cup could be kept by kid in case you'll book a kid portion.

Great Italian food, the pasta were amazing. Defiantly one of the better Italian restaurants in saint Petersburg, and possibly the best one. They have cafe in connection to the restaurant where you can get get gelato for dessert. The place is cosy and casual. Note that it is cash only.

I love this place for its delicious food, cozy atmosphere, reasonable prices, huge menu, massive portions and ice-cream is just incredible. 1 cons: cash only. Twice we left the restaurant due to forgot cash only accepted

Make sure you book a table here in the near future!!! The food is really tasty, especially pizza with salmon. The ice cream (that you taste for free and choose the flavour you like) is to die for. There are cars, scooters and motorbikes in the rooms near the tables.

Atmospheric, tasty and fast enough. Spagetti Marinara 🍝 and white pizza salmone 🍕 were really good 😋

Thanks atmosphere is really lovely. There are so many different halls with different features. And I can assure that this place is much better then on photos. About food, I had breakfast there, coffee was excellent with all kinds of this beverage, but didn't order something more than a dessert, which was also pretty good. I recommend this place because it's in the beautiful neighborhood, and it's something for locals rather than to attract tourists.
