Caffè Mulassano

They offer special sandwiches that are worth trying when visiting Torino. Their vermouth drinks are also unique and worth a try. Unfortunately, the restaurant space is limited.

Caffè Mulassano is one of those rare places where time seems to slow down in the best possible way. Elegant and intimate, with a calm, old-world atmosphere that makes you want to sit, observe, and stay a little longer. The service is attentive and genuinely kind, never rushed, and the food is excellent, simple, and full of character. A perfect stop for anyone who wants to experience Turin beyond the surface, quietly and beautifully.

Probably one of the must come places in Turin. Cosy Caffè, very calm and quite atmosphere, amazing service, tasty food. I suggest to try the traditional Torino bicerin drink, Affogato al caffè Mulassano - icecream with caffee, super tasty. There are tables available outside, but I suggest to sit inside for the full experience. Also take a moment to look around at the interior design and the ceiling,

Beautiful historical bar. The tramezzino is small but very tasty. I was absolutely blown away by the cocktails. They are properly made and very tasty. They came with nice aperitivo snacks. Prices are a bit high, but I found them ok because of the high quality of everything and the beauty of the interior.

A charming historical art nouveau cafe where it was said that the first sandwiches were introduced to Italy in the 1920s. Small place with a few tables inside and outside, and friendly service. We had a Bicerin which though quite nice because of the cream was a little too bitter for our taste.

The sandwich was wonderfully soft and flavorful, and their vermouth was equally enjoyable.

Service at the bar could be friendlier with visitors, and I say it as restaurant owner 🤞🏻 They made our bicerin in a way that clearly showed it was the 100th one they’d made that day, and that they really weren’t in the mood to make it anymore. 😅

This place happens to be next to the Barrati & Milano another historic cafe in Turin and as the other one was shut on Monday we went here for a drink and stop. I also remembered the name as one of the fellow Yelpers in Munich sent me a recommendation for this place just today. This place has been here since 1867 and has grand interiors like many of the old cafes around Europe do. Reminded me so much of some of the ones in Venice, Vienna, Brussels and Lisbon. I had a Bicerin which is a small glass with thick hot melted chocolate, an expresso shot, cream and meringue. Once it's all mixed together this is a match made in heaven. This drink put Turin on the map and I can see why :-)) A great place for a drink and a small feed. I would happily come back here any day :-)) Thanks for the tip Luca ;-)) Made my day :-)

OMG this place oozes history and tradition. It's a tiny cafe under the arcades linking Piazza Castello and Via Po, enter it and you will magically be transported in the end of the 1800's. The cafe has made excellent coffee and hot chocolate (a Turin specialty) for over a hundred years and has not betrayed its tradition for easier profit. It is a MUST go for everyone visiting the city. Their hot chocolate is probably the best in the world.

Torino is a wonderful yet strange city filled with a hybrid mix of the grandeur of Baroque mansions with the sober modesty of 1950s warehouses and the graceful elegance of Art Nouveau palazzos with the marble Fascist monuments. In between this miss-mash is hidden thousands of cafes - many of which have existed for hundreds and hundreds of years. You are truly transported into another world when in Torino. The Australians have their pub crawls (or so they use to before those hideous lockout laws which shut down the city at midnight); the Germans I would presume have their sausage crawls and the Torinites (is that what we call them) have their cafe crawls. Yes, you heard me right, a cafe crawl...going from one cafe to the next tasting their drinks and getting high/drunk on caffeine and sugar. Caffe Mulassano is tiny but full of history and atmosphere. Drinking here transported me back into a moment in time that i had only read in books. There are wooden panels and antique mirrors lining the walls, the wait staff are old school and friendly. The crowd here is an eccentric group of tourists, regulars and locals. This place is a very discreet ancient bars. Blink and you may miss it as it is hidden away beneath some arcades that surround the royal palaces. This place is good. It is really good. No visit to Torino is complete without an order of the local drink called Bicerin. Just try it. Don't even ask. When in Torino... Yes this place can be a little pricey, but you people watch, you eat and sip at your own leisure and you soak up the atmosphere of days gone by.

This is a delightful cafe located under the arcades of Piazza Castello, in the heart of Torino. It looks like it fell out of a magazine depicting the wonders of Italian history; everything is perfectly detailed. The atmosphere does not disappoint! And now for the food... the croissants are to die for! So flakey and delicious. I would highly suggest the marmalade croissant. It is served (if you are sitting) on a metal stand somewhat reminiscent of a high tea platter. The bicerin was also amazing; the cream on top tasted somehow of marshmallows. Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

We have latte macchiato lobster sandwich,tuna mixed vegetables sandwich,strong truffles sandwich, for me the tuna one is the best, but we still not enough, so we order tuna with artichokes and light truffles(for this one only have truffles oil) after a while, the waitress told us the turn with artichokes is sold out(see how good it is) and the light truffles they use ship cheese and nuts inside
