Caffè Nero

Good place just before thé national gallery, we have taken one ice tea, one coke, one capuccino and one apple crumble... It's Ok. The service is fast and WE have asked for two cups of waters for free no problem. Thanks

Very poor experience at Nero, Trafalgar Sqaure at 19.50 pm on 22nd December. Cafe clearly states open until 21.00 pm but they are refusing customers seating and progressively closing off more and more seating areas despite lots of customers and a stated closing time of over an hour in advance. Begrudgingly told we could sit at a table, but when actually seated with drinks and food, another staff member (photographed) tried to tell us to move, which is unacceptable when you've just paid £15 for a coffee. Drinks and cake served in takeaway containers despite wanting to eat in. White chocolate mocca made poorly in comparison with other branches and barista did not ask if we wanted cream on the mocca and also didn't add any. Barista's default welcome question was: "What do you want?" (basic manners and etiquette lacking). Atmosphere should have been much better but staff clearly trying to clean and close the shop well in advance of advertised closing time made it an unpleasant experience and felt like poor value for money a couple of nights before Christmas when my wife and I wanted to enjoy a peaceful evening drink in an iconic part of London. Nero, on the whole, is generally a great place to enjoy a coffee, but this was very poor, mainly due to the staff.

Coffee stop on my London city break, fantastic service, the staff are very good. The atmosphere is very relaxed compared to my usual coffee stop up north. Nice location, plenty of seating and a great view from the window Very happy 🥰

Nice coffee place at Trafalgar Square. They offer delicious sandwiches, salads, and pastries, and a good selection of cold and hot coffee drinks. Classical music playing, in a cozy setting with tables and leather lounge chairs. I had a ciabatta roll with egg and mushrooms, which was toasted and delicious.

Always lovely to come here when I vacation in london. Service is great and the coffee is the best! Got the double iced Vanilla Late and drizzled lemon loaf. Also lots of seating area, good for a read!

Having worked at a coffee shop before, in central London during opening hours at Christmas time, I can think of nothing less id rather do then deal with the public. Tobias however, was able to power through all that and still deliver excellent service in the morning, I sincerely hope you guys are paying them their dues, or at the very least giving them and the other frontline staff during Christmas a much needed break or overtime hours. Highly recommend this place if want a warm, welcoming atmosphere

There was a bit of a line when I visited, but being where it is, it makes sense. The line for the restroom was longer than the for coffee. I had the Banana and Walnut Loaf Bread. Was very good. I also enjoyed all of the tables to sit at. Nice to take a break from all of the walking

We visited Caffè Nero at Trafalgar Square today during the Chinese New Years celebrations. The place was surprisingly clean, especially considering during this crowded event on the Square. It was a huge queue line, I mean, really huge, but the staff was supernice and smiled. The coffee was perfect, the brownie and the lemon muffin were fresh. We asked for a bit of extra milk foe the espresso and they gave it to us in a tiny cap, supernice gesture, most places just say no for that request. The place had a calm atmosphere and people and families were just sitting there and enjoying a little break before going back to the celebrations. Highly recommended.

I came towards the end of the day, so they were doing a bit of a cleanup. So only the front part of the café was open for seating. I got a vanilla latte which tasted subpar and watery. My boyfriend's latte was really nasty felt like this place was just giving chain coffee shop vibes. would not recommend to go back again. We ended up throwing our lattes out.

This was probably the worst coffee I think I've had in a very long time. I ordered a pistachio latte and it just tasted horrible. It tasted as if was the barista's first day. It tasted like hot sugar water. I will definitely not be coming back.

5 stars for service. Very friendly fellows. 3 stars for drinks. Chocolate milkshake: 3 Mocha Frappe: 4 Latte: 3 Excellent location.

Caffe Nero is a chain of coffee shops located all around London. We visited locations by Trafalgar Square, near Windsor Castle, and Bluewater Mall. All times, the baristas were relatively kind and accommodating to allergies and substitutions. They have a great rewards program, so if you're new to the area, I'd recommend downloading the app for discounts. The coffee and hot chocolate itself was pretty average but was definitely worth the price. We tried the millionaire's hot chocolate - the double fudge whipped cream and marshmallows really saved the drink. I also tried a hot chocolate with 2 pumps of gingerbread and 2 pumps of vanilla which fulfilled my holiday drink cravings. The desserts were really nice as well. We tried the millionaire's cake (a classic in Europe), a pistachio mousse, and a carrot cake. All were a little too sweet, but worth the price. The aesthetic inside all of the Caffe Nero's we went inside were great. There was plenty of seating and places to take pictures. I'd recommend for someone looking for a quick coffee/bathroom break on a trip with their family.

I mean it's a Caffè Nero so I knew what to expect and it delivered. I think what makes it worthy of a review is its location which is across the road from the buzzing and beautiful Trafalgar Square which makes people watching with a cuppa that little bit more interesting!

So when you are in Rome, or in this case London, try the local stuff. We had seen many Caffe Nero around but we decided to stop here and take a quick break. It had been hot but was starting to cool but I chose a café latte and it was very ordinary. There was a sign advertising a delicious cheesecake muffin but what I got was a small and well very ordinary dessert. Kind of a cheesecake but with muffin squares that look like croutons. The kicker was the rude girl that attended my wife. My wife had ordered from a very nice guy and after she took her ordered turned to a young Asian girl and asked for napkins. The young lady continued with what she was doing completely ignoring my wife for a few minutes. My wife thought that she didn't hear her so she called for her again and the girl bent down below the counter. Another customer looked and my wife and we started laughing. She had heard her and did NOT want to address my wife's request. She leaned over and asked her again loud enough that everyone in the café heard. The girl stood up and walked away. At that point we all thought it was over, she is going to get some napkins and come back but she comes back with no napkins. My wife was going to ask the nice employee that had helped her but decided she was going to get this girls attention and she did but the girl picks up two napkins with her fingertips in the most sarcastic way [you had to be there] and gave her a dirty look. Being that it was Thursday late, it was not busy and she just couldn't understand why or what was her motivation.

Stopped in for a coffee and almond croissant today! The folks behind the counter were fast and friendly. The almond croissant was much better than their competitors. What else do you want in the morning from your local coffee shop! Stop on in!

Reminds me a ton of Starbucks, expensive with average tasting coffee. They have a better selection of snacks and sweets than Starbucks and this location is nicely located in Trafalgar Square with an amazing view of the square. It's a great place to unwind and watch all the tourists run around taking photos. I would grab a cup of coffee in the next door Pret A Manger since they have a better selection of food and outside seating if you want something a bit more filling. The free Wifi is dope but a lot of places have free Wifi (again, the Pret A Manger next door). I probably won't be back since there are so many options for coffee/tea.

Nice little place to come and get coffee and a snack. I went down here every morning (and some nights) for a quick espresso when we were there. Located immediately across the street from Trafalgar Square - very convenient. I know it's a chain, but it's a nice chain. There was an oddball employee that seemed surly at times. Not positive if he could help that or not.

These are basically found almost everywhere in England, and seem to be trying to rival Starbucks in basically producing substandard coffee. Okay, maybe I'm being a little pretentious here because the coffee really wasn't that bad, but it certainly wasn't high on the impressive meter either. However, since I had seen this place everywhere, and since I wanted to try something that is particularly English, I endeavoured to have at least one coffee here. Basically it is a chain store, and when it comes to chain stores, well, it is basically what you would expect.

This was my first time visiting Caffe Nero, so I had high expectations hearing good things about the franchise and gluten free and seeing so many of their stores around London. My experience wasn't so good, I was served by a trainee barista who didn't seem to know what he was doing, I ordered a Carmel Latte (not sure how they brand it), expecting a caramel flavoured latte then to find out due to research it is more of a vanilla latte with caramel however I could not really taste the flavour and it was just like a cup of coffee for me. I ordered 2 Gluten Free Products, one a Double Chocolate Brownie, this wasn't great, quite alot of places now do a Gluten Free brownie including Costa and Starbucks and this one was not good and no where near the quality of the others. It just tasted dry and horrible. Something else I ordered was a Coconut Raspberry Cake sort thing, made of Coconut slices and Raspberry Jam in the middle. This was okay, not the best Ii have ever had Gluten free good wise but I would of preferred it to be a coconut paste on top instead of pieces. I defiantly would not recommend this branch of Caffe Nero, although the coffee was good quality.

Quaint cafe by Trafalgar Square. Great and friendly service. Nice place to have quick light breakfast and coffee.

Stopped by in between sigh seeing around Trafalgar Square. This cafe provided us with free wifi which is much appreciated while traveling. We caught up with loved ones and then headed back to Trafalgar Square. Lots of food items and drinks on the menu. It's clean, comfortable, and convenient.

Stayed at the Trafalgar Square Hilton next door for a couple of weeks. This Caffe Nero was a great way to help start my mornings. The baristas are uber efficient, chewing through large lines quite quickly. Unlike the nearby Starbucks, the baristas here made a lovely drink every time. The atmosphere is spacious, comfortable, and relaxing. That said, it can be a bit crowded on weekends when the square has an event. The WiFi is free at this location.

Love this place... Came here often for coffee as well as to just use the toilets when i'm passing by... The staff are pretty relaxed i've even seen them give free coffees to homeless people that come in.. They don't bother or rush you to finish... The venue is spacious with plenty of seating from chairs to couches... The vibe is very relaxed... For a franchise place they serve great coffee... Would i go back? Always...

I was in a hurry wanting to go to the airport and there was a line with two people in front of me one person was working the register and making all the coffee you other two were slowly Doing other things like adding pastries to the window while customers were standing there waiting a complete disregard for customer service everything should be focused on taking the order and feeling it it was totally on except a bowl that three people allowed me to wait there for more than five minutes before I walked away and gave up

The coffee here is good, the staff is friendly, and their salted caramel shortbread will change your life in a good way. They only have a single bathroom for the entire shop which is a bit frustrating at times because the wait can get quite long, but the prices are reasonable and it is very clean. A good chain that is easily found around London!

Packed and heaving with locals and tourists and just about always busy. Good food, priced well, nice selections of drinks, as well. Wish they had wi-fi and a loo. What is it with this chain, so everywhere in London and they don't have wi-fi? Behind the times, they are. And probably afraid that people will park themselves and slow customer turnover. Business myths if you know how to run a modern business...

A great place for a quick and affordable breakfast while staying in London! The staff at the Trafalgar Square location were always friendly, and the Café Americano was always hot and satisfying. Comfortable setting with good food.

Well, what can you say about one specific Caffe Nero? This one is right next to Trafalgar Square, so tourists are all over the place. Otherwise it is your standard Caffe Nero, baristas are good, food is good, cookies is good, and it is not Starbucks if that matters do you in any way.

Love this Nero. The staff is always courteous and helpful, and whenever I find the window seats vacant, I always enjoy myself that much more, as I get to drink in the view of Trafalgar Square at the front, or, alternatively, the Admiralty Arch at the back!!!
