Unfortunately I was hoping for a better experience from this place. The Seafood dishes came out cold and were disappointing, the pasta was ok but could have been a bit flavourful. The part that did save this place was dessert with the Tiramasu being a great option. I feel this place has a lot of room for improvement.

Arrived in Sydney quite late because of our flight and Caffe Roma was the perfect place for our first meal! Warm and hearty, the baked salmon was perfect, and the baked eggplant was crispy yet soft!! The spaghetti vongole was fantastic! However the restaurant was quite loud and dark which was not our preference

Great pizza and pastas, and I like the restaurant's decor and style. Ideal for couples. I'd definitely eat here again.

Celebrated my daughter's 18th bday here last night and it was fun.Foods are good and the staff are really nice...So many people on que so you better make your booking specially of you're a group 2or3mos before or else you won't get a spot

One of the best Italian restaurants in Sydney I'm so impressed here. The pizza is very juicy, the part of the starch is very crispy but also the edges one very soft and a bit tender this point made me surprised. Homemade Gnocchi is very nice and Pesto sauce was done very well. My many friends like Risotto also. And the price is so reasonable and worthy. If you're looking for the Italian restaurant, this never make you upset🫶🏻

Google
A really solid place to enjoy a dinner around Potts Point. We had a pretty nice experience here. We didn’t book in advance (July ‘24 Thursday 6.15pm) and it was fine, we were seated outside, they had the heaters on which was also nice! Note: it wasn’t too busy, so I’m not sure what the experience would’ve been like if it had been busier or if we had a larger group. We didn’t get too much, but got garlic bread to start (highly recommend!), and each had a pasta to share. The portions were generous and reflected the price nicely. A solid experience, would consider visiting again if I’m in the area!

Yelp
Looking for an authentic Italian eating experience? If that is what you want you must try this joint. Tucked away in Kellet Street you will find this place turning out great dishes. There were four of us so we had the privilege of being able to share plenty of food. These truly sumptuous dishes were all modestly priced. We ate, and we ate and ate more....and here is some of what we enjoyed: *a generous serving of succulent prosciutto with tasty cheese; *a fresh mixed salad with Roma tomatoes; and then to the mains and they were so good... *spaghetti vongole with so many baby clams *spaghetti gameroni with king prawns, fresh tomato and oodles of garlic, herbs and sauce *ravioli with sensational walnut flavours....a truly delightful dish *grilled octopus with perfectly cooked broccoli...an amazing dish. This was foodie heaven...great Italian food. The experience is uplifted by the energetic and passionate service that owner Danniello provides. He jokes with you, cares for you and his gesticulations are all part of the experience. This is top Italian spot....I am just disappointed I have been so slow in discovering. There is so much for on this menu that I cannot wait to indulge on....

Yelp
Dammnn blast from the past lol!! I remember going here for an Anniversary dinner about 10 years ago.. Pizza was Amazibg same with the Pasta & the dessert :D!! I found out about the place again when i was organising my friends bucks party venue in Potts Point and they said that Cafe Roma will be supplying the pizza's. .. i almost fell off the chair i was swinging on lol. It was still the same husband & wife owner from when i went 10 years ago which is always fun to hear because then the food should taste the same if not better :)!! Seeing as i discovered a fond memory restaurant i ended up trying it that night cause i was instantly craving a delicous feed :D. I was lucky to find parking right out the front of the place on a rainy wensday night :D, i was immediately greeted by one the waiters as soon as i entered. Then when i sat down the guy owner came out to greet me the customer :), had remembered he was a straight forward with a bit of humour to him which is good to have & especially when you have a restaurant with qaility tasty food :D. You get some thin crisp bread with tasty olives while looking through the menu, i ordered a clam pasta to gave as my starter which i loved the taste of but also have never had before & preferred a good helping of parmesan cheese to annihilate it quick to crave my hunger lol. I ordered a Marinara Pizza... haha i was lost for words .. it tastes as good if not better than 10 years ago.. but hard to remember how good it was back then .. but all i know is me being by myself eating that Amazing delicous pizza i was very Content lol!! Also had a Vanilla Meringue slice of cake with ice cream which topped of a Fantastic dinner with Myself & I. Definately coming back with the Parea (crew/group) for their opinon :D!!

Yelp
This place is fantastic?Definitely the best pizza in Sydney(fresh, light and flavourful). There house made pasta and gnocchi are spot on.Beautiful risotto scampi which we paired with a great Scillian Insolia. This place is a must for anybody who lives or visits Sydney.

Yelp
First and foremost, the food here is absolutely amazing. The best Italian food I've ever had in my life...and truth be told, I've eaten a lot of Italian over the years. I am an American who was visiting Sydney on holiday and was lucky enough to accidentally find this place. It was so good, I ordered it again the following night and had it delivered to my hotel room. The food was not as good as my first experience in the restaurant, but still delicious nonetheless. I was a little less fond of the owner, who I had a majority of my interactions with. He's outgoing and gregarious, but seemed disinterested in my party because we weren't one of the regulars. That being said, I understand it's far better for his business to cater toward the people who will be coming back instead of an American tourist. Excellent food and highly recommended for anybody.

Yelp
Food is excellent but service is very disorganized. We recently ate there and I told the waitress how much I was looking forward to trying the semifreddo for dessert. The mains came out before our entree. The side salad was completely forgotten. Then when I went to order semifreddo she tells me they are all out! I had told her at the beginning of our meal that was the main reason for our visit! I get the vibe that the staff are mistreated and unhappy. The place seems to be poorly managed and not flowing as a team.

Yelp
This would have to be by far one of, if not my most favourite eating place around Sydney and the Cross. From the minute you walk in and get a big hug from Danniello and then speak some very basic Italian you learnt in Primary School, they get you situated and send out the flat bread and olives. The being able to smoke outside at the tables is a win for me as that's how it should be when you're at a EU restaurant. The Italian Sausage Pizza is really the only thing I ever order when I go there. It's amazing. I've had the Salmon Bruchetta as well and it's pretty damned good too. It always makes you craze those items when you go there. While I'm usually pretty full to have dessert there, you cannot decline dessert when told by an Italian you MUST have it. If you have room, try the Semi Fredo. Amazing. To polish it off, they bring the bill and send you on your merry way out into the world with a shot of Limencello in you. I love watching the seedy foot traffic that traipse around the neighboring Bordello's too. Awesome location for people watching, plus it's open late night and they let you take away pizzas too. Damn I think I'm going to have to head there now.

Yelp
This is a fantastic Italian restaurant. The cheeky staff are always cheerful and look after you (as well as a shot of limoncello to end the meal!) The menu is decent with lots to choose from and the food is delicious! I highly recommend the Gnocchi (Pesto or Napoli) and the pizza is great also. The restaurant is lovely with a nice little courtyard out the front which is perfect for warmer nights and big groups.

Pretty good option for a late night meal in Potts Point. Food tasted good but service was slow.

Yelp
Man, the number if times I've wandered up this street going to or from clubs. Hundreds, probably. Maybe more than hundreds. What a fool I was sinking pots instead of gorging on Italian, true Italian, certainly in the top 5 Italian I've ever eaten in Sydney. Top 3, perhaps. From Danniello the owner marching up and down the restaurant like a matador greeting customers with long, firm handshakes and tossing out jokes to the giant, garlic-laden bruschetta pizza, this joint got legit eye tie down pat. Bonus points for the pot of chilli/oil they popped on the table upon request.

Yelp
Smell the aroma as you approach this well hidden Italian delight. Tucked away in a Kings Cross side street, ROMA cafe has a delectable menu of Italian cuisine and an ambiance to take you away to the beautiful Italian coast. The elm trees that line the street are filled with fairy lights as you enter delivering a specifically magical experience. On arrival you are greeted by friendly staff in the outdoor pergola seated area, where smoking is permitted. Further inside the premises you can be seated indoors surrounded by dark wood floors and furniture. At Roma Cafe you will find the tables covered with butchers paper and supplied with crayons, to allow your creative mind to explore as you read over the menu. You'll notice that pizzas are traditional gourmet Italian style and are served on large plates elevated onto metal standing frames to make it easier to share across the table. The wine served by the glass or bottle is spectacular and the ideas that arouse your dinner conversation will be truly reflective of the indulgence to your senses Roma Cafe divulges. Definitely worth the visit.

Yelp
Totally did not get why this restaurant gets so high score as what we have experienced was really horrendous. To be honest we were so looking forward to it after reading the reviews and made a reservation for 4. We arrived there at 6pm at a saturday when should be really busy, but it was empty. We were seated outside, where the heater was on. We were fine at that time although the lights were really dull and the candles were not helping us to read the menu, not to mention later we found it impossible be seen and attended when in need, as all the staffs were hiding inside the restaurant and trying to ignore us! We ordered a bottle of wine and lots of dishes including entrees and mains and sides(about 7 8 or 9)and all of them came out at the same time, which made the table utterly full and majority of the dishes got cold after a while in the winter weather! The food were quite heavy in flavour but tasted below average level, not amazing at all to be honest. The most horrible part was when we pointed out the the seafood spaghetti and baked eggplants were way toooo salty(unbearable salty like you are chewing salt mixed food)to be eaten, the guy in the white shirt who seemed to be the boss of the restaurant got so irritated and throw out bad attitude and swore in italian! We spent over $200 for dinner and hoped to have a nice experience, what we asked was edible food, the requests of replacing with something not salty was totally reasonable and it was really not fair to be treated like that. Even until we left there were not more than 5 bunches of customers in total in the restaurant. Would never go back and would never recommend to anyone.

Yelp
A hidden gem. Literally. In the dark alleyways of Potts Point hides this wonderful Italian establishment, serving delicious fare, pastas and pizzas alike, and a fabulous selection of wines, watched over by the friendly owner, who's always around to make you comfortable, and ensure you have a great meal. Highly recommended.

Yelp
That's a very interesting place in Kings Cross. It could have been anywhere in Italy or at least reminds me of my trips there :-) with friendly , relaxed atmosphere. This place is loud and messy at night time with people chatting , drinking wine and eating very decent Italian classics. Their pizza is one of the best in Sydney. They score extra for being only one of few places in the city opened late at night

Yelp
Without a doubt, one of the best and most authentic Italian restaurants I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing. From the succulent smorgasbord of gourmet pizza and pasta ranges, to the mouth watering selection of seafood, you'll be leaving with one happy smile as my family have for many years. Will always be the most recommended establishment from my mouth. Another aspect that I love of the restaurant is the engagement in which staff conduct themselves, a clear reminiscent of the Italian culture is reflected. Thank you for the hardwork in bringing Italy to our doorstep. From venue, food to the moral compassing; Salut!!

Yelp
Damn am I glad we wound up on this street. My dinner party found Caffe Roma while wandering around looking for a different restaurant. We decided to give it a go, and were very glad that we did. It's a brilliant Italian restaurant, which made me feel like I was back in Rome. The service is attentive, helpful, and VERY Italian. The food is amazing, and we were treated to a few little extras at no extra cost - which was very appreciated. Highly recommended. I've bookmarked it, and will be sure to return next time I'm in Sydney.
