Google
An intoxicating Cafe is an amazing place for creatives. Not only do they have delicious coffee from Caffe Vita, a wonderful atmosphere, and great music, but it's their team that truly sets them apart. Here I'm welcomed and accepted as a black artist; and with the relaxing ambiance, I can come up with my best work. They also offer an array of quick meals to choose from, as well as their record shop unique items like limited edition copies of Batman and Robin from 1966! If you're looking for a comfortable space to work, and good coffee (and eat!) you won't be disappointed to visit Intoxicating Cafe.

Google
Really nice coffee house in the center of Seattle. Drinks were all delicious. Will definitely return.

Google
Delicious coffee! I ordered a mocha, it was not overly sweet. Perfect!

Google
The Kyoto is intense and delicious! Great atmosphere and vegan donuts. Doesn't get better!

The single employee on duty was *very* nice. However, they were in transition between spring & summer menus and thus had a very limited menu/selection. Management should manage transitions in the background such that they are seamless to customers. She did make their "Valencia" latte to my liking and it was good. Expensive. $35+tip, for 2 coffees and 3 baked-goods.

Google
Great coffee, cozy ambience and friendly staff. What more can you ask for?

Miguel Ángel García

Google
Great atmosphere for a morning coffee and baristas expert at their craft

Google
Our favorite coffee in Seattle !!! By far , any flavor - can’t go wrong and great service !!

Yelp
Staying in Seattle for a week and been trying different coffee spots around the area. The ladies at the front were so friendly and lively. The coffee was pretty good as well. I ordered an oat milk latte with sugar free vanilla syrup. Highly recommended!

Ryen B.

Yelp
Nice option for a fast morning oat milk latte with some pretty art on top. Good option if you are in the area.

Ana K S.

Yelp
Great staff, great coffee and beans! This location gets busy on weekends so you do have to plan accordingly if you're wanting to get a specific pastry/sandwich -I tried the ham and cheese croissant and the Tuscan sandwich and I think the former is more delicious. The Tuscan sandwich could do with more sauce but all in all it was pretty good. Their beans are sooo good. The winterbloom smelled so chocolatey and rich when we opened the bag and ground the beans. I'd highly recommend this blend if you're a mocha stan.

Yelp
If you, like me, were wondering "why is this marked as closed? I just got an espresso here?" This location of Caffe Vita has been acquired by Turtle Coffee. Welcome to the neighborhood!

Emelina W.

Yelp
Small and delicate, ancient vibes and great coffee beans. This place is small but got enough seats. They have great coffee. The parking is free street parking, so that's convenient.

Gina R.

Yelp
Had a hazelnut latte and it was soooo creamy and velvety. The barista was super friendly considering we went in 30 mins before closing. They had a wide variety of flavors and styles to choose from. The drinks were made fast and were delicious. I can see why they had a line out the door even right before closing.

Sonam B.

Yelp
This is the cuter store out of the two locations. It has the cutest and coziest working corner with a lot of plants. Enjoyed my coffee w/ their specially sourced vegan flavors here. Also love that it's quiet and calm most of the time which makes it easy to work.

Jennifer C.

Yelp
Perfect place for a cup of coffee on a rainy Seattle day. I tried an oat milk Valencia, a vanilla latte with orange zest inside, and loved it. I actually found it to be a bit on the sweeter side but still enjoyed drinking it slowly. Seating is pretty limited from what I can tell but would highly recommend to stop and get some coffee for a walk!

Yelp
Is it really that hard to put up a small sign or chalkboard of which blends you have on drip that day (like every other coffee house on earth) and what the notes are? I asked what they had brewing today and the rude barista was EXTREMELY irritated with my question. I couldn't hear her mumbling through her mask. And one is a KFX blend? What the heck is that? I have no idea what a bunch of random letters are supposed to taste like. It would really be too much to call it "Sumatran" or "Ethiopian"? She ended up giving me some rose thing as her "recommendation"- I didn't want that one. It tasted the same as a funeral home smells. Turbed my stomach and I threw it out before the end of the block. I literally just wanted a basic normal coffee. It's really crappy to say on google that you have over a dozen different blends and then get to the store to find they only have 2, one of which is going to be profoundly disgusting to most people with a sense of smell or taste. If you only have 2 blends to choose from you should update your google description with that!!

Yelp
For a coffee roasters and coffee shop this one is fairly standard. The inside of the shop was very hip looking and the staff was super nice and helpful. I picked up a holiday roast and a bag of Theo beans. The coffee was brewed very well and got the job done. This is a very famous coffee roastery from the Seattle area so it is a good choice for anyone looking to get coffee and beans. Of the many coffee shops in the city I would recommend this if you see it around.

Naomi B.

Yelp
Insanely good coffee and their cold brew cold foam (non-dairy!) flavor options (they make the cold foam mixes themselves) are creative as well as delicious. Right now it's December and the have Sugar Plum (not sugary) and Nor'wester (cherry & pine, also not sugary) or special Frankie & Jo's Oat Nog cold foam (I literally cannot explain how delicious this is). Service very friendly. This location has the cutest hole-in-the-wall booth that seats 4.

Alex N.

Yelp
Wow what a cool concept! A radio station and a coffee shop, what more can you ask for? The coffee was made super fast and most importantly it was delicious! One thing to note was you must mix the drink since at the end my drinks toppings was at the bottom. Highly recommend!

Angela S.

Yelp
This place used to be charming and where everyone went for coffee and personalities. Most unfriendly staff ever now. Woman couldn't be bothered to even look at me while I ordered. Don't bother.

samuel r.

Yelp
I came in a little bit after seven in the morning, and I was the only person there it's still took the barista a long time to make my drink. I've only been here twice and the espresso drinks are pretty good but the staff has been rude both times. I might come again if I'm craving a decent drink but I probably won't enjoy it that much.

Prag R.

Yelp
Quaint place with good coffee and warm people! One of the best Seville coffees I have in a while!

Amanda H.

Yelp
My go to coffee place! Caffe Vita Queen Anne is on my list of top coffee shops in Seattle overall, but this one also just so happens to be my neighborhood coffee spot (every Seattleite has one). The shop is super small and cozy, with worn-down rustic decor. More of a grab and go kind of spot than a sit down for hours sort of dig. Seating is scarce, but generally it doesn't get too busy either. My favorite thing to get is their lattes, which are always so creamy, balanced, and expertly crafted. Their roast is on the darker, less acidic side, which is my preference when it comes to beans. Love love their coffee! The ONLY thing that could make Caffe Vita better for me is if they did housemade syrups. But the consistency, customer service, and coffee keep me coming back day after day.

Annie L.

Yelp
5 stars to the lower queen anne location on 5th Ave N. vita's cold brew keeps me wired and ready for work on dreary seattle winter mornings Staff super friendly too

Les M.

Yelp
Wonderful little coffeehouse with a San Francisco vibe, a hold-out against the monolithic urban (condo) renewal going all around. The somewhat battered commedia del'arte fresco, which probably must predate World War II, is more interesting than anything I've seen at The Seattle Art Museum in years. The young Asian-Asian woman barista is a gem. Their house green tea had more genuine flavor than any cup of drink I've had in a long time.

Alina S.

Yelp
Coolest setting, coolest people, really good coffee. Lots of places to sit and it's spread apart too.

Kristen K.

Yelp
Intimate coffee shop with free wifi. A good place to chat or bust out your laptop. They don't have a lot of seating (around 5-7 tables depending on group size) but they weren't very crowded when I went on Sunday. I had the chai and a nice scone.

k l.

Yelp
Good coffee, nice ambiance. Cozy feeling. Only downside is the wifi isn't superfast, but it's free so you can't complain

Joshua C.

Yelp
Great little coffee shop with eclectic vibes. Pastries are a bit pricey but tasty. Coffee is strong and the apparel is also pretty trendy.

Lindsay H.

Yelp
In addition to the super convenient location to my apartment, I loooove this spot. It's small and cozy inside, but not crowded or stuffy. It has a fun divey vibe without being grimy. Everyone is always so nice and in great moods, which had consistently been the opposite for awhile at other coffee shops. The coffee is really good (I always get an Americano) and I like that they roast all their own coffee. It looks like they have a variety of roast profiles and origins, as well as both espresso and pour over. The baked goods are amazing as well. Those aren't made in house, but they partner up with a lot of great local bakeries to provide a wide choice of yummy baked goods. The bacon leak quiche and blueberry bread are very good. I definitely plan to try the raspberry scone, PB&J bar, muffins and donuts in next visits.

Yelp
In a city where coffee shines over the overcast and rainy Seattle skies, this place consistently gets the job done time and time again. And this "Caffe Vita" location that we visited was none other than the one on 5th Ave. in the Queen Anne neighborhood of Seattle. Since this location is a bit off the beaten path, parking is actually fairly easy to find as we parked directly across the street. Once stepping foot inside, it has a dark yet cozy atmosphere. The interior is graced with a brick wall complete with a menu board displaying all their varieties as well as brewing equipment, mugs, teas, and ground coffee to take home. Even though it is a bit small, this only adds to the coziness. And it is definitely a spot where locals go to get away from the more popular touristy areas in downtown. As appropriate as this was, my fiancée and I came on an overcast and drizzly Monday morning. We definitely needed a pick-me-up as we knew (from the Yelp reviews) that Caffe Vita" would hopefully be a safe bet. She orders their vanilla latte while I opt for a regular mocha. Both drinks are piping hot and ready within minutes. After the first taste test, my mocha was made absolutely perfect in every way possible. The richness of the espresso bean combined with the frothiness of the foam truly made every sip an enjoyable one. I also managed a sample a few sips of my fiancées vanilla latte and that was also excellent. The overall flavor was creamy, sweet, and bitter all in one. And hands down, one of the best places I've been to in quite some time. So for those of you who rely on the popular coffee establishments (Starbucks, Tully's, Seattle's Best., etc.), I would strongly encourage you to check out "Caffe Vita". I was overly impressed with the flavor, ambiance, and atmosphere and this truly is an authentic and superior Seattle coffee shop.

Yelp
I LOVE this room!!!!!!! The coffee is nice enough - nothing wrong here. But the room is what makes this place special. Caffe Vita has a theme of harlequin-like long-nosed medieval/renaissance clowns. These are painted on one wall to make a faux fresco with an Italian carnevale sensibility. It gives the place both Old European sophistication and Seattle bad-boy grunge cool. Want to listen to super-sour alt rock guitar with your espresso? Go for it! And feel classy doing so! Even though I had places to go, I didn't want to leave. Given the visual appeal of the place - it is no surprise I love their t-shirts - which are designed by the same artist who does the walls. * Their coffee is okay. The barista made me the house specialty - the pacnor. This is a cortado with extra half and half. Not surprisingly - this is a cortado with more of a dairy creamy taste. I am not a cafe au lait man myself - and I like my coffee more on the bitter and demanding side. But for those people - and there are many of them - who like creamy treats in the morning - this will do you nicely. * This is a place to which I would not mind bringing my computer and spending an hour or six here. Particularly if I was wearing their t-shirt!

Yelp
Local coffee place that we happened upon during our walk on our first day in Seattle. I had heard that the residents take their coffee seriously and after having a shot of espresso and a cup of french press coffee I agree wholeheartedly. Small storefront with a relaxed vibe of locals coming and going. The employees were very friendly in a casual relaxed way. If is is the start of what my coffee experiences will be in Seattle I welcome it with open cafinated arms.

Jake S.

Yelp
This cafe Vita knows what they are doing when it comes to environment and coffee. They have free wifi, good music playing, cool staff and good areas to work or study. I highly recommend their cold brew it is some of the best I've had and I am somewhat of a cold brew connoisseur being from Portland, OR. It is complex and rich but not overwhelming or bitter to the point where you basically have to chew it, that's never good. Vita also has cafe treats; doughnuts, scones, cookies, etc... I highly recommend coming here for a quick cup or to hangout and study or surf the web.

Tracy J.

Yelp
I'm going to be the lone dissenter in the crowd here. I don't get the same warm and cozy vibe in this shop that other reviews have mentioned. It's super convenient on my way to work or the freeway. But there's something weird and cold to me about the space. The shop is very small with only a few tables for sitting and it's never seemed inviting to me. I like a coffee shop where you can spread out and relax, have plenty of room. Not feel like someones waiting for you to finish so they can have your table. One day the staff will be really nice and pleasant to do business with. The next day another barista might seem irritated to wait on you. The coffees okay, not great. It's also expensive. Guess what I'm saying is for that area of Queen Anne it's the only game in town. I'd love to have a larger, warmer coffee shop at the bottom of the hill like they have on the top of Queen Anne.

Anaher B.

Yelp
They were quick - not my favorite cup of mocha but I enjoyed something warm in the cold! So I am pretty satisfied - just too watery.

Chad B.

Yelp
This is some of the best coffee I have had in Seattle--and this is Seattle, so that's saying something. I work across the street, so I'd call myself a regular (they know my order when I come in). In regards to the princesses on here complaining about the baristas, just get over it. Sure, some of the baristas are friendlier than others, but I've spent enough time in there that I've had to overhear some of your ridiculous requests for drinks. If YOU had to deal with YOU all day, you probably wouldn't go out of your way to stroke off every customer that came in either. If you want some of the best coffee in Seattle, and don't mind not being the center of your barista's universe, then please do yourself a favor and come here.

Kaitlin M.

Yelp
This place is small and super cute - a lovely place to sit down with a book or some work. Has a bit of a rustic and charming feel. Nothing fancy, but just wonderful. I'm not a coffee drinker, but I will do just about anything for a chai latte. I find it shockingly difficult to find a really good chai latte. I'm always nervous to try a location - it can be that difficult! These guys far exceeded my expectations! They made an INCREDIBLE chai latte!! I'll definitely be back for that. They also have a small, but very tasty pastry selection. I do highly recommend the chocolate croissant!

Julia S.

Yelp
Cute community coffee shop with quality coffee and pastries. The art is better than most sold on coffee shop walls and the staff is fantastic. I appreciate the coffee options, friendly staff, and a great window to sit at as I read. Best place to sit and relax in lower Queen Ann.

Tiffany C.

Yelp
Stayed in the neighborhood during my visit in Seattle. Caffe Vita is a great local coffee house with good music. Love the vibe here and the bold body coffee was amazing.

Inna B.

Yelp
The employees here are absolutely fabulous. I hear the coffee is good, but I'm still avoiding the stuff. They do sell delicious DRY Soda, Columbia Gorge smoothies/juice, and occasionally coconut water, so I'm always satisfied with their drink selection. They also have some delicious food! At first I focused on the croissants. Especially the berry, the chocolate, and the spinach & feta. I especially like the day-old ones that only cost $1! Recently I've moved on to the quesadilla-type things. I think they call them something like "piadina." I never remember what they're actually called and how to say it correctly, but the employees know what I'm looking for and always have the eggplant one available. Yum! I kind of love this Caffe Vita...

Gail S.

Yelp
There is something about coffee that intrigues me, in the way it demands perfection of all variables in order to get the best end product. Good coffeebars control water temperature, grind-particle size, pressure, volume of water, and grind consistency. It's art, science and over-the-top fetishism that some may call an obsession, but I would rather call it an unwavering attention to detail in the pursuit of that perfect cup. Espresso is the most unforgiving and finicky of coffee beverages, difficult to pull correctly but oh so wonderful when it is done right. So when I found myself in Seattle, the "coffee mecca" of America, I just had to order espresso at the best coffee bars in town. We stopped in to Caffe Vita during an odd time in the afternoon and the place was relatively empty. Behind the bar was a nice guy wearing a fedora, true local barista fashion. We told him we were from out of town and he talked with us a while. He also repulled our espresso again and again until the color and timing on the shot was just right. The result was one of the best espressos I had during my week long stay in Seattle, and we tried many places including Vivace and Victrola.

Brian W.

Yelp
Quaint little shop in the Queen Anne area. The coffee (latte) was perfect. The roast was not too bitter or sour, had a good profile. Friendly staff, a definite hit.

Melody P.

Yelp
After Seattle Half Marathon Half, my carpool buddies and I came here for a cup of hot beverage. Well, I tried not to drink coffee because runner's high and caffeine will keep me up all night. However, I really wanted a eggnog drink. The lady told me that she can make me eggnog de-caf latte. In addition, I got chicken pastry. It definitely made my day brighter and sunnier :-) It's been at least 6 hours since I had my coffee. I am still awake! But, I know, I will sleep well tonight when it's my bedtime!

Danielle C.

Yelp
Finally! A non-Starbucks coffee shop that has espresso shots that I can taste! I have been going on a non-Starbucks coffee shop tour of Seattle and most of the time, I have been disappointed at how bland the espresso drinks taste. I got a vanilla latte here. I liked the latte art and surprisingly, the foam tasted a little bitter. That was kind of weird. But the rest of the espresso was actually flavorful and not warm milk like a lot of the other places I have tried. The rest of the drink had a slight bite to it, but it was a good type of bite. I liked it. The atmosphere of the shop is interesting. It is very dark and there are few seats. This definitely feels really hip in here, and they play classical music to add to the mood. One negative I have to say is that once the sun goes away, the lighting in the place is pretty terrible, so if you're actually serious about reading/doing work, I would recommend coming during the daytime.

Adriana K.

Yelp
I went here for the first time this weekend, and was impressed - despite the line, fast and friendly service- and even better, dog friendly! They have a super cozy nook table that would be perfect for reading, conversing, etc. if only you could get it, as it is a neighborhood favorite. Plus, I love their coffee. They have great pastries- their almond pastry is flaky, with oh so gooey almondy goodness between the puffy layers. And the nutella brioche (which I believe is from Macrina bakery) is sooo good' salty crystals on the top of a buttery bread that envelopes hazelnut delightfulness. So great they are in NYC now; cheers, Vita!

Conor S.

Yelp
My drinks are always excellent here the service however isn't always excellent. Not that the baristas are rude they are just understaffed at times. The place is a great go to for good coffee in an intimate space.

Debosmit R.

Yelp
Having come here a couple time, I figured it was long overdue for a review. Solid coffee - mostly local people, short lines, if any at all. There's this charm to this place, and a certain degree of old sophistication - something I can't really put in words. Definitely worth a visit.

RK W.

Yelp
Compared to most modern Bay Area roaster cafés, this place is pretty old school. I had read some complaints in reviews for another location that some customers were scared off by "satanic" music playing in the cafe. The theme seemed pretty dark and the mysterious character on the cups seemed a little evil. I wasn't sure what to expect, but was curious to try some satanic coffee. Way better than expected! The regular on tap coffee was the relatively darkly roasted blend pre-prepared via French press. Rich, chocolatey, classic and satisfying. Very clean for French press preparation. They have obviously been doing this for a long time and it showed. Well made decaf latte. Non-satanic pop music blasting and friendly, attentive service. Beans: they roast their own and can be found around town at other cafés and markets. Room for improvement: I didn't really understand exactly how the pour-over service worked or why it would cost over $5/cup

Kellen P.

Yelp
The two lady baristas were awesome. On a busy morning they went out of their way to tend to our needs; decaffeinated latte's, picking 1lb bag of cafe, and being straight up friendly and welcoming. Strong work ladies!

Rick C.

Yelp
Can't beat their $6 breakfast between 9 a.m. - 11:00 p.m. All the breakfast items (well most of them) for only $6. And this isn't your typical breakfast. Love the French Press Coffee and the

Amadeo D.

Yelp
Cozy unpretentious atmosphere. Inexpensive yet excellent Americanos! Deliciously unusual pastries. (apple & carrot bran muffin, spinach & feta croissant, to name a few) I'd come here everyday if I lived in this neighborhood.

Jillian S.

Yelp
This place is NOT fancy BUT.... it's fabulous. I feel like I'm in Europe at this neighborhood coffee digs. It's rustic, charming, friendly and the coffee is smooth and delicious. If I lived in Seattle, this would be a routine stop. Not pretentious like a lot of high end roasters can be. I felt very at home here!

Brian F.

Yelp
In Seattle, on a trip to visit family, I assumed that I'd end up in twenty different coffee shops. While I did go into several, I was in Vita every morning. The only day I didn't wake up at Vita was the afternoon my plane landed. Actually, we went to a different Vita location at some point that afternoon. There's opera clowns everywhere. (Actually, Seattle seemed to be full of opera clowns. Except Pagliacci's, which I thought would have an opera clown.) Small booths tucked into the walls and a few tables in the front. A little bit of patio seating. The bar area had dog treats that some of the dogs knew where there on entry. Comfortable place. The music was incredibly random, from screaming metal to classic rock and sometimes a string quartet. Vita apparel and accessories displayed a wide variety of logos and fonts. Everything from a windbreaker to skateboards. A huge, cold drip tower is on a shelf near the bar. It had to have been almost four feet tall. It's top globe was as big as a grown man's head. I thought it might just be decoration, but one morning it was in use. Making coffee. Like a coffee maker should. The service was friendly and only as attentive as they need to be. Part of a good coffee shop is just being able to sit. When I wanted more coffee, they were on it. When I wanted to just sit and talk, they left us alone. The coffee was great. I wish I'd bought a bag of beans to take home. The mochas and lattes that my family got were very good and had the foam art on top. I just like plain, black coffee. Theirs didn't disappoint. Full and not too acidic. Plenty of good stuff in the bottom of the cup. Just a very good cup of coffee. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Seattle.

Varun Kumar K.

Yelp
Great Coffee with awesome service . I would definitely recommend to visit this place and try there coffee!

Emily P.

Yelp
We have been here twice. The first time was good and my husband liked the coffee. The second time we came later in the day and just ordered hot chocolate. It was so weak you could barely taste any chocolate and the barista was not very friendly. We love supporting local coffee shops, but what should you do when Starbucks has better quality drinks?
