Perched on a picturesque hill, this family-friendly resort in San Ignacio offers stunning views, cozy cabanas, and a delightful restaurant with local flavors.
Loved this place. |We stayed at the cabana and enjoyed it. ||Clean, great night sleep despite being close to the front desk and with workers/travelers moving around us. ||The cabana was charming and had the hammock in the screened porch. ||Loved the food - best cheesecakes in the country! |The staff was friendly and the restaurant manager came round to ensure we were enjoying it. ||The concierge Alicia helped us with multiple tours and rubia and the new front desk girls had been prepared for us. Great communication. ||We didn’t expect the San Ignácio part of our trip to be so amazing and honestly it was the highlight.

This was a really really nice hotel. The customer service was great. I like the location because I had an amazing view however, if you’re not into walking up a big hill, I wouldn’t recommend it.
It’s close to everything
The only complaint I really have is that it’s a little outdated and can use some fixing up and the bungalow we were in had a very weird smell for the last three days and it was a bit unbearable kind of like sewage
Otherwise, all the people working, there were fabulous. The staff was very nice. The pools Were also very nice. The drinks were good and the tacos were delicious.
It was recently priced I would recommend it
They were even able to arrange us tours

I’ve been to San Ignacio many times in the past but this was my first stay at this resort. The staff were excellent and the food was amazing. Great views from the dining room. The air conditioning was much needed for our stay and ours in our room worked perfectly. The rooms are very minimalist decor and appointments but very clean and comfortable. I look forward to staying here again.

I really liked my cabana, great views over the town, hammock and lots of space.||The resort is nice, but the pools are smaller than they look in the photos, therefore if there are a couple of kids in each one, you dont really want to be in there as an adult just wanting to relax. The wifi was bad, but not the end of the world, if you really needed too you could sit in the building and it was stronger. However with poor wifi meant no TV as its streaming. Again, not the end of the world but its nice to have the option.||The views make up for the above things in my opinion. I had a couple of breakfasts and a dinner in the restaurant and a snack from the cafe as the hotel isn't really within easy walking distance of night time meals.||Other people have said that its in need of renovation, but my only real comment would be that a fridge would have been really nice, but my guess is that this is lacking to keep you buying drinks from the hotel !||Recommended and I would return if I was back in SI ever again.

This hotel is very nice. The staff are amazingly friendly and helpful. The location is right at the top of the hill, so views from the balcony are stunning. The food is very good and the bar is great too, although we found it closed a little early. Well worth a visit. There is an ancient Myan site right outside the back gate which the hotel is named after. This too is cheap to visit and very interesting.

I cannot emphasize enough how great this resort is. It has the best view of the valley in Cayo on a beautiful deck just off of the pool area. It has 3 decent sized pools for relaxing in. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant has lot of options including traditional Belizean food. The food itself is great and the service is top notch. The room me and my family stayed in was larger than I expected with a great view on the balcony that included a hammock to relax in. The overall experience was great and I cannot wait to go back.

We booked a package through Cahal Pech Village Resort for a group of 13. The package included cabanas at the resort, daily tours, transporation and condos on Caye Caulker. Everybody in our group had a great time. The resort itself was nice. The cabanas were spacious and clean. We enjoyed the food in the restaurant. The tours that were included in the package were great. They were all private tours for our group, and the tour guides were wonderful. We also enjoyed our time on Caye Caulker as part of the package. I highly recommend booking through Cahal Pech Village Resort.

Our experience with Cahal Pech was mediocre. As others have mentioned, the location is on top of a hill, making it quite a climb to walk into the main part of town. I would not stay here if you want to be close to other restaurant options or the downtown. The food inside the resort was very overpriced. Each dinner was close to $60 US and the fish we ordered had several bones, making it quite difficult to stomach. We also paid $10 US (per person) for fruit and a piece of bread in a takeout breakfast, that was advertised as "continental" breakfast. All that being said, the room was nice and the staff was very friendly and helpful, I would just not recommend the location or food on site.
