I gave this property average stars. The atmosphere was great! Beautiful sunsets from the observatory area. Nighttime ambiance is good. When we checked in the place was nice and clean but AC was struggling. My husband had to clean the filter to allow better air flow. That being said it was an unusually hot day. The birds on the property were beautiful to look at during breakfast. We liked breakfast a lot but didn’t like the pizza. We had a good time but just wasn’t our favorite.

We loved this place! The only issues we had was that our ac in our cabana didn't work very well and the wifi didn't reach. But otherwise it was very clean, the people were so nice, the price was good for the off season, and the food was amazing! San Ignacio is probably our favorite spot in Belize so far.

Don’t let the hill to get here intimidate you like it did with me. It’s honestly fine so long as it doesn’t snow. The private hut rooms were spacious and very jungle vibe. Thatch roof, screened in front porch and a personal hammock. The proximity to Cahal Pech ruins is unbeatable. They have a on site gift shop, restaurant, bar, cafe, gift shop AND adventure company.literally a one stop shop for all your needs. We dined at their restaurant and had some drinks from their bar which were all great. The grounds a very pretty and tropical with spectacular views of the city. Bird watching is also pretty nice just from your front porch. This is a great place to stay if youre in San Ignacio.

Very dissatisfied with our stay here. Stunning view and the cabanas were cute, but not insulated at all and the AC could not keep up with the heat. The heat in the room was unbearable and when we spoke to the staff, they said they weren’t able to fix it and that “unfortunately happens.” Our first morning there we were woken up at 6am with loud construction/ banging on a Saturday morning. The staff were not helpful at all and seemed annoyed whenever you asked for assistance. We also ate breakfast here - it was terrible. Beans and fry jacks were both cold like it had been sitting out. Lastly, the pool was dirty and there were a lot of things around the resort that was either run down or broken. It’s sad because this place is beautiful but the staff and management just don’t seem to care to keep up with it. Would not recommend anyone to stay here.

We were looking for a hotel with a good location near some of the Mayan ruin sites. We made Cahal Pech Village resort our base of operations for 3 days. Was perfect! We stayed in a Cabana that was very comfortable, nice bed clean bathroom with a great air conditioner. The amenities were nice too, great pool area, good food at the restaurant and a very friendly staff. Was a pleasure staying here and I highly recommend it for anyone else that wants to visit San Ignacio.

Didn't stay there but for $10 you get day use of the several pools with an awesome view. Clean pools, great views and yummy drinks. Coconut flake fizz for $10 was the special it was delicious. Nice staff.

My family and I had a terrible experience at this place. We were charged nearly $300 for a single night, only to be placed in a substandard and sleazy cabin. The air conditioning was not working, and the staff was aware of the issue beforehand, yet they still placed us in the cabin. The shower made alarming noises and the hot water was scalding.||||We reported the AC problem twice, only to be offered a standing fan as a solution. When you pay for a room with AC, YOU EXPECT IT TO WORK! After just half an hour, we requested a room change, preferably in the main building, due to the issues and the inconvenient location of the cabin. Instead, we were offered another cabin further down the hill, closer to the noisy roadside. ||||We insisted on a full refund, but the staff was uncooperative and offered only a 75% refund (pure nonsense). It was only after we threatened to involve the police that they finally provided a decent room in the main building (which was available the entire time and when we asked them why they didn’t just put us in this room from the start, they couldn’t even give us an answer). The cabins should not be rented out in their current condition; they need serious renovation. Despite the nice views, I would never return and strongly advise against staying here.

We stayed in one of their family bungalows which included two rooms and two bathrooms connected by a small patio area. Rooms were adequate. Views were incredible and we were told the best in the area. There are two small pools on site. |The restaurant on site was convenient for dinner when we didn't want to go into town. Staff was very helpful and friendly. You will need a car to get to downtown San Ignacio as this hotel is very high up on the hill; it's a short drive to town though. There was a very large tour group of teens and parents staying when we were there but we didn't mind so much as we were out and about most of the day. |Would recommend this as a very well priced option when in the area.
