After booking in February called me two weeks before the date of (August) arrival to cancel despite confirming the booking at the time. The reason given was "I don't have a room for the Saturday night" (of a 2 night stay). I suspect the hostess realised she could get a better room rate for the night of a big local wedding and wanted my room. If you want certainty please avoid!!!

We did enjoy our one night stay here in this beautiful farmhouse in stunning surroundings. We were given a warm welcome by Noreen and our room was comfortable with a lovely view. There were no tea and coffee facilities in our room, but we were able to use the facilities in the conservatory downstairs which had a comfortable and peaceful seating area with some lovely views. The breakfast was delicious with some lovely home baked scones and wheaten bread.||Noreen recommended the Bunratty Manor Hotel for our evening meal and a separate review has been posted about this.

Noreen, the owner, was the perfect hostess! The farmhouse atmosphere/environment felt like home. Homecooked "fresh from the farm" breakfast was cooked by Noreen and her family. My mother and I shared the family room which was perfect with 2 adjoining rooms with shared bath. Really enjoyed chatting and relaxing with Noreen on the terrace. The terrace view of the farm with horses and donkey visiting us was icing on the cake! I would definitely return!

Photos on here do not capture the magic or beauty of this place! It’s such an elegant homely place to stay on and the accommodation is immaculate as is the farm which has stables. The furnishings are all high quality and there are two lounges all with fab views of the grounds. Noreen and Michael (the hosts) are such lovely, warm friendly people! Noreen herself is an amazing cook and looks after you as if you are family giving us a warm welcome of scones, teas / coffees etc then an amazing Irish breakfast after having fruit, yoghurt, cereal etc or a delicious full-filled omelette. We literally didn’t want to leave! The house is not near any pubs to walk to but if you have a car there are loads of bars and restaurants in Ennis which is only a 15 min drive away. If you decide to stay on the farm at night there is a small fridge where you can store food or drinks and Noreen provides glasses and plates etc. and you can eat in the dinning room or in the gardens / terrace. I would highly recommend staying.

Wonderful guesthouse and host. On arrival mentioned that both my traveling companion and I ate a plant based diet - some surprise on the hosts part as she had not cone across this before. However, at breakfast the next morning we were provided with a fully vegan cooked breakfast. She even went as far as to ensure the bread that she had purchased for us was also suitable for vegans. For me, this host showed exceptional hosting skills and hospitality. I could not recommend this B&B mote highly. Kim

Our group of seven spent one night here recently during our vacation in Ireland. This property is situated on a working horse farm. There were gorgeous horses and cows and paddocks and pastors all around the bed and breakfast. It was an idyllic setting to spend an evening and a morning. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. US travelers: as is common in many areas of Ireland, this property does not have air conditioning, but the windows open, and we were very comfortable without it. The temperature was perfect. Breakfast was excellent. We very much enjoyed our stay and will fondly remember the gorgeous views and delicious food .

Cahergal Farmhouse was a perfect place to stay those first few days in Ireland. It’s close to Shannon Airport but the setting is pure Ireland. Our room was large and the common rooms were very cozy. The outdoor patio overlooking the pastures is a great place to relax and enjoy the scenery. We heard mooing cows in the morning. Breakfast was very good. We visited Adare and Bunratty Castle and attended the Medieval dinner at Bunratty while staying here. We’d certainly recommend Cahergal Fatmhouse B&B.

This place is gorgeous I loved it. we stayed for a week or two in the guest house behind the inn and it had a cottage core vibe to it. But there were a few issues though. Due to the house being so old you had to choose between taking a shower or doing the laundry because you couldn't do both at the same time or you'd trip a breaker. Second the 2 bedrooms closest to the master bedroom had issues with the showers. My sister and I took those two rooms And the first time we showered was fine but afterwards the water didn't drain correctly or something like that so it basically made that end of the house smell bad. From then on we had to take showers in the master bathroom. The hot water heater was also very small so between the 6 of staying there not all of us could take showers in the morning unless you wanted a cold shower. That also went with doing laundry. After you were done running the washer You had to wait an hour or 2 for the hot water to come back. Then the hot water heater stopped working. Fortunately the owners were very accommodating they let us take showers in the inns vacant rooms.
