"At Cairngorm Mountain near Aviemore there’s a ski area in winter and, in milder months, activities like a tubing park, a mountain carting track, walking and mountain-biking trails, and Scotland’s only funicular railway that climbs to nearly 3,600 feet — it’s a good spot for both winter sports and family-friendly mountain activities year-round." - Lydia Mansel Lydia Mansel Lydia Mansel is a writer with more than eight years of experience editing and writing for both brands and online publications—with a particular focus on travel, fashion, and lifestyle. Great place, nice view on the valley and summit. Train looks cool but we did a little walk instead Very busy, but parking was ok and free. Recommended

Visited on 26th December Boxing Day Check weather in advance. It’s Scotland after all !!! Funicular railway has undergone massive revamp and the experience is worth it. If you are an engineer you can easily spot the adjustments and changes made to get the rail back onto life. Top restaurant and viewing gallery is worth a visit and on a clear day hike to the mountain summit is must recommended if you can.

The hike to the top is amazing to say the least. The view is so breathtaking. There wasn’t much snow until we reach half the mountain during december mid but at the top the snow is good and thick.

Breathtaking views, ride up was nice. Staff are lovely and helpful. Hot chocolate there is delicious too. You can buy tickets there but my husband and I found it better to book online so we could get straight into the line for the tram.

Cairngorm Mountain resort and surrounding area is well worth a visit. Plenty of accessible parking, the climb is well worth it. There is free WiFi and toilets plus a cafe and shop on site, and the railway that operates here will take you up to spectacular views. Great trails for mountain bikers are located here too, but note you can't take ebikes on the railway, you have to ride those up to the summit instead. If you're in the area then this location is well worth a visit. Highly recommended.

Absolutely great place to visit all year long. During snow fall road is poorly Maintained and you will see plenty drivers on summer tyres. Road should be much better maintained as for such a attractive place. Overall highly recommend

Google
Awesome place and far from a tourist trap. Anybody who feels trapped didn’t read the T&Cs which clearly state (and you have to check a box that you accept it) that you cannot leave the station. It was simply a really awesome experience. We were there on a day with lots of rain and shattered clouds but still the view was great and the whole feeling was simply outstanding. Prices were reasonable so no reason to complain.

Amazing countryside lovely snow capped mountains. Weather was harsh but you can't do anything about that. Walk wasn't for the faint hearted. Give yourself at least 3 hours to climb. We tried to climb Ben macdui but failed. Cairngorm was beautiful though.

Yelp
The view from the top was well worth the price of £13.00. A cafe & a small bar, as well as a souvenir shop.
