Good spot for a theatre production or symphony but not great for watching a band. We recently bought tickets to see an INXS Tribute show and due to the seating, it would have been unfair to get up and dance. The fact that the band clearly drew off the crowd, they struggled. At the end, people started to dance in the aisles and that's when the band really came alive.
Another point is that when we purchased the tickets, there were only three tickets left close to the stage. The app wouldn't allow us to only purchase two tickets, so to get decent seats, we had to buy three tickets. We couldn't sell the last one, so this show cost a lot more for us than it should have. We're reasonably new to Cairns, so don't know that many people yet. That was particularly annoying as next to me where two people who clearly only purchased a single ticket each. They didn't know each other, so how did that happen? Majorly disappointing...
Teamed with the excessively 🫰 drinks at the venue, it appears we will not be going out much while living here. This appears to be a Council run property (I could be wrong) so why the astronomical prices???
