Cairns RSL Club

What a great place. I thought it might be a members only club but tourists / non members are welcome. Superb place, had the best steak I’ve ever had and a couple of great pint! Highly recommended.

A lovely RSL overlooking the Harbour. We came for lunch and my wife had linguine with crab and prawns and chillie but due to my allergies of not eating garlic and onion, I ended up having a steak burger with mashed potatoes Food prices are reasonable. Service was very good and chef made sure that I did not have something that might have an allergy.

My mum, my twin sister and myself have been enjoying years of fun and entertainment at Brothers . I remember when it was a small club house on the corner in the 60's and 70's, and wow, look at it now, we loved coming there many years ago, and even more now with how they look after their members. Best club, in my opinion, in Cairns. They have provided great shows over the years. Love all the promotions, and my husband and I love Friday nights with draws and meat and seafood trays, such an enjoyable night after a busy week. The music they provide is great too and the big screens. Love Brothers

Had the rump steak for lunch perfectly cooked the mash potatoes were creamy and well seasoned the chips were hot crunchy and creamy inside.

Good food selection, lovely coffee shop with delicious 😋 banana smoothies. Nice outdoor area on street to watch the world go by.

Top meals low prices very friendly staff I'm visiting from interstate had 3 meals, great atmosphere, close beach walk.

The "grilled" barramundi is not grilled. I ordered it and it came in a weird consistency with the sides so dry, was hard to chew. Did not taste fresh. Not sure if it's because it has been pre cooked in a pan with water. But it definately hasn't been grilled. The roast veggies abd the salad that comes with the fish tasted great. Good environment.

This is a really good venue. It's my favourite beach front rsl club in Australia and is light years ahead of North Bondi imo. The menu is really good and great value for money. The museum upstairs is very good.

A local couple I met mentioned that this restaurant is a charity helping Australian Defence Force, therefore I wanted to try it. Amazed by the great tasting food. You can also play Keno while you eat and service was exceptional.

Great place to grab an ice cold beer that's really affordable! The crowd here is older but all very nice. Bar area was small no seating at the actual bar... but lots of tables and chairs throughout. A few TVs showing horse racing with a machine to make bets. Very popular area. I sat out in the larger open area with TVs showing different cricket games on. People were super friendly all hanging out and talking together.. really felt part of the group. I can back here a few times during my stay.

Went here for dinner with my family and it was absolutely horrible. I know this is a club and not a restaurant but no way can they charge $20+ for frozen junk. Me and my mother ordered Moroccan chicken with cous cous. It took about 15-20 minutes to arrive and immediately looked and smelled dreadful. The cous cous looked like corn and tasted grainy. The chicken was rubbery and it was all drenched in this horrible tasty oil like sauce. I had to spit it out. My mum could barely eat it either. I decided to try my brother's rump steak with mushroom sauce which was not an improvement. The chips were obviously frozen and the steak tasted burnt. The mushroom sauce tasted like Chinese takeaway gravy. I give them one star only because the waitresses were very helpful and understanding. The RSL is clearly a place for smokers with no taste. We managed to get a refund though.

We live 50m from the RSL and regularly eat there. Friendly staff and good value meals with good quality considering the price. Their food puts many restaurants in Cairns charging significantly more for lower quality food to shame.

Brilliant realistically priced meals in a family friendly atmosphere. Surf & turf was great & only $30
