Cairo Marriott Hotel & Omar Khayyam Casino

"The broad tower sits beside the Belle Époque and Art Deco mansions of the Garden City district. "Staff never disappoint," and the food in the seven restaurants is "a fine combination of traditional Middle Eastern specialties and Western and Asian staples." Most rooms have outdoor terraces, soaking tubs, and bright decor. "I’m always sad to check out."

We stayed at the Cairo Marriott from 15 December to 18 December 2025 in Room 750, and our experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the minute we arrived, we were warmly welcomed, and throughout our stay we felt incredibly well taken care of. The historic palace setting, the beautifully maintained gardens, the comfortable room, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel made our time in Cairo unforgettable — but what stood out most was the outstanding service. A special and heartfelt thank you to Mr. Omar Ehab, whose professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail truly elevated our stay. He consistently went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect for us, and he treated us with genuine kindness and care. His approach to guest service reflects the highest standards of Marriott, and we are deeply grateful. We would also like to recognise Mr. Reda from the breakfast team. Every morning, he brought such positive energy and hospitality, making breakfast one of the highlights of our stay. His friendliness, efficiency, and dedication made us feel right at home. Thanks to both Mr. Omar and Mr. Reda, our stay was memorable in the best possible way. They are outstanding representatives of the hotel and excellent ambassadors of Egyptian hospitality. We will definitely return — not only because of the beauty and comfort of the hotel, but because of the exceptional people who bring the experience to life. Highly recommended.

The Cairo Marriott is truly an oasis in the middle of a very busy city. Like many others have said, this is such a special place as it was built around a historical castle. The garden area is also such a peaceful respite from the loud and busy streets immediately surrounding the hotel. Hospitality is top notch, everyone from the front desk (Joseph), room service, bell hops, cleaning staff, breakfast kitchen staff, restaurant staff, were friendly and welcoming. The hotel is very secure and safe with checkpoints at each entrance, and staff at every elevator to answer questions and direct. Definitely take advantage of the on-site breakfast, it was fantastic and included traditional Egyptian items and western ones. All the staff, especially at the omelette and pancake/crepe stations were fantastic and handled the breakfast crowds well. Rooms are a bit dated BUT well maintained and charming. I also appreciated the daily water bottles and the 19th floor Nile view from the Zamalek tower. Would be a true treat to stay here again in the future.

Our stay at the Cairo Marriott Hotel in Zamalek was absolutely unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The hotel is breathtakingly beautiful, blending historic elegance with modern luxury in a truly magical way. The atmosphere was warm, refined, and incredibly welcoming. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and impeccably clean, offering stunning views and a sense of calm in the heart of Cairo. The service was exceptional — attentive, professional, and genuinely kind, making us feel truly cared for throughout our stay. The location in Zamalek is perfect, peaceful yet central, and the hotel itself feels like an oasis. The gardens, the architecture, and the overall ambiance create a dreamy, almost timeless experience. We loved every single moment and would return without a second thought. A truly outstanding hotel that made our stay in Egypt even more special and memorable.

I went to the Marriott Cairo restaurant (Jw’s Steakhouse) with my family and the service provided by Mohamed Gamal, Ahmed Khaled and Sameh has been exceptional! They had excellent customer service, was super hospitable and was very friendly and polite. Sameh had recommended the Ribeye and filet mignon steak which melted into your mouth as soon as you take a bite. The quality of meat, the sides, the drinks - everything we ate today was beyond perfection! |We will definitely be back again tomorrow!! I would 100% recommend this restaurant for everyone to visit if you would like excellent food and service! |I would like to personally thank the chefs Ahmed Khaled and Sameh for preparing the delicious food and Mohamed Gamal for taking care of us at all times!

Stayed two nights, enjoyed it thoroughly. Great view of the Nile from the higher floors of the two towers. Until 1973 it was the Palace Hotel. |24 hour well equipped fitness centre, had a great massage in the spa, ate at one of the 11 restaurants,m.|The most distinguishing factor was the attentive staff around every corner, reading your wishes before you express them. |Maria (guest relations manager) and Marina (who checked us in) were particularly helpful and remarkable.

We stayed there for 3 nights and the hotel is stunning, an old palace full of history. The hotel has plenty of food option; we recommend eating in the the garden outside to enjoy the night vibes (the Italian restaurant is very nice). The room is pretty old with many standard elements missing (usb, USB c etc.). We used the phone to call the pharmacy and they charge me 3usd which I am not expecting in a 5 stars hotel. The room is now really sound proof making the overall sleeping quality not at a 5 stars hotel standard.

It was our first visit to Cairo and we used award nights to upgrade our room to a suite. When we reached, they did need some time to assign us the room but once done we could see that wait was worth it. Our room had partial Nile view and full view of hotel gardens. Most reviews say they don’t like the “dated” look, but we actually like the large rooms & bathrooms and balconies. The breakfast at Omar Cafe was really good and the executive lounge served good local wine and great food. Service at Omar cafe and lounge was great. They also have a great gym next to a lovely pool. Only downside of pool is that they maintain it at 28/29 degrees Celsius which is a bit too hot for a swim. The property was a palace before and that shows everywhere, it’s really lavish and beautiful

Excellent breakfast and Shorouk and Amer served us very well. They are kind and helpful and made sure that nothing was missing to make us happy (impossible, the choice is endless). We enjoyed a lot Egyptian specialties. Diner was very good also, we love staying in this hotel. Marvelous view from 18th floor on Nile.
