Cairo Marriott Hotel & Omar Khayyam Casino

"The broad tower sits beside the Belle Époque and Art Deco mansions of the Garden City district. "Staff never disappoint," and the food in the seven restaurants is "a fine combination of traditional Middle Eastern specialties and Western and Asian staples." Most rooms have outdoor terraces, soaking tubs, and bright decor. "I’m always sad to check out."

We had a wonderful overnight stay. We spent our wedding night at this hotel in 2006, so we celebrated 18 years of marriage on a trip from Australia to Cairo this year. The member of staff who made our stay memorable is Joseph in reception. Thank you Joseph for your outstanding service. We enjoyed the French restaurant for dinner, the garden for shisha and cocktails, the buffet breakfast (exceptional) and the swimming pool the following day. The bedding is also worth mentioning. The bed felt like a cloud it was so luxurious and comfortable, with rich feather duvet and crisp white cotton sheets.

The Cairo Marriott Palace is is a legend in the hotels in Cairo Egypt. I know this hotel very well and have experienced all of it's product & services since 1980. |In fact, I was the opening Resident Manager, additionally, I am a professional Hotelier and have spent almost 40 years in the hospitality business at a senior executive capacity. The hotel is showing it's age but the team makes up for it most of the time. ||I am writing this review sitting in my room. My family including my grandchildren & friends arrived yesterday from the US. |Everything that we (customers) would expect is delivered with an Egyptian smile & sense of humor.||The hotel has just changed ownership to the private sector from the Egyptian Government and I am truly hopeful that the new owners would do what it takes to make it better. |I wish to compliment the housekeeping team on 19th floor (mohamed x4), The executive lounge F&B team, the Egyptian nights F&B team. My family & friends had an outstanding delicious Egyptian dinner 6/29 at the promenade served by a caring professional team that left Nothing to wish for. We asked for the outlet exec. chef to come by and we happily gave the team a round of applause. |Thank you to the leader General Manager & his team for making our stay most enjoyable.

THE BEST HOTEL IN CAIRO!! The hotel and surroundings are very fancy and classy and the atmosphere of the bar near the pool at the sunset is basically unbeatable. We did not stay there to sleep but we got the bar as a recommendation from friends and we did not hesitate to order some cocktails. The place is huge and quite and offers lots of tables to have some drinks, food and even to watch some football/soccer/sports in the big screen. The prices are a bit higher than in other restaurants but we found it completely worth it. The drinks are big and very tasty, the waiters are efficient and nice and the bar/restaurant area very cozy and with a vibrant atmosphere. Downside: The place is not for locals so most of the people are tourists/employees from the nearby embassies.

This is a Special place. The mattresses are amazing. The atmosphere is so calm and peaceful - the breakfast was amazing (legendary). Our room cleaner Basant was so lovely and really good at her job.|The room service was a bit slow and not very accommodating. The care treatments are amazing and the pool is to die for.

Stayed here three times in the last month and enjoyed it every time. It's a historic building, previously a palace, with some very fine architectural features if that kind of thing interests you. The rooms are a touch dated, but they are clean and the house keeping staff do a great job. A call out here to Ramzy and his team Romny and Mr G.

This hotel looks immaculate. Apparently it used to be the king's palace. Communication between the hotel and I beforehand was good and they were able to keep my room as I arrived in the middle of the night. My room itself was comfortable with a cute balcony. I did find it weird that there was no alarm clock or pen/paper. When I arrived, I couldn't get the tv to turn off with the remote and had to call for someone to help. This was really annoying at 5am after an overnight flight. Also, the restaurants/bars wouldn't let me charge things to the room. I had to pay with cash. Minus 1 star for those few inconveniences.

I was having two-days training in there, Hotel facilities are good generally. However, the restaurant wasn't at all good. Food wasn't freshly served, and it was like cooked two days earlier and just microwaved to get served. Snacking was overall nice in the training room. We were cat-called from a residents' balcony while passing from the main tower to the restaurants within a separate passage between both buildings! It was the first time for me to get harassed as a woman inside a hotel!
