Cais na Preguica is a very nice restaurant with both indoor and outdoor seating area, friendly services and fresh seafood, during our 6 days stay in the Alfama district, we went to this restaurant twice for dinner, price is reasonably set….grilled fish (bream, sea bass), octopus, seafood rice and garlic pawns & clams, etc. are fresh and delicious, our server Nisa was very kind, often come to check on us to make sure our needs are met, we sat outdoor and the atmosphere was very nice, not too loud and with a sea breeze feels so comfortable, highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys fresh grilled seafood.

We stopped here because of the good reviews, but we were proven wrong. The place is really dirty. The food isn't bad, but the place is too dirty. the curtains are dirty black, the tablecloths are stained with bird poop and the menus are filthy black

This is absolutely a tourist trap but it’s fine for what it offers. Food is decent but a bit bland and there was a guy playing guitar/singing. I had the grilled sea bass and a tomato salad and the ingredients, at least, were fresh, although the cooking was only ok. Just come into it knowing what to expect.

One of the best meals we had in Lisbon! We tried the arroz de polvo, arroz de polvo com gambás, polvo à lagareiro, and the seafood paella — everything was absolutely delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. The octopus dishes were incredibly tender, and the seafood paella was rich and satisfying. We also had both the red and white sangria, and they were both perfectly balanced and refreshing. The service was absolutely outstanding — very friendly, attentive, and made us feel truly welcome. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxed, perfect for enjoying amazing seafood. Highly recommended — we would definitely come back!

We stumbled upon this place by chance while strolling through the area, so our expectations were fairly moderate. But we were quickly and pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food! The Paella Vegetariana was absolutely phenomenal — easily one of the best we’ve ever had. It was bursting with flavor, perfectly cooked, and incredibly satisfying. The other dishes were also excellent — well-prepared and served in generous portions. As a lovely finishing touch, we were offered a complimentary glass of port wine at the end of our meal — a thoughtful gesture that made the whole experience even more special. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxed, the service warm and welcoming, and overall, it was a truly delightful dining experience.

We dined here last night with friends and were thoroughly impressed. The evening was delightful from start to finish. I started with the garlic shrimp — perfectly seasoned and bursting with flavor. For our main courses, we ordered the Bacalhau à Lagareiro, octopus, and seafood cataplana. Each dish was beautifully presented and exceptionally delicious. The quality, freshness, and authentic taste made our experience truly memorable. We will certainly return and highly recommend this restaurant to others.

We had a wonderful evening at this restaurant. The seafood cataplana was excellent and perfectly complemented the fantastic appetizers. But the best part was the fantastic service. All the waiters were extremely attentive and always friendly. We'd be happy to return – thank you very much!

A very touristy spot, It's a bit of a tourist trap. I tried the tuna steak, but it was very oily and heavy. Portions are decent, but the food quality is hit or miss. Service is friendly, and the location is convenient for a quick meal.
