Love staying here. We had our company Christmas event and I had room 119 at the end of the passage. Great view, nice and quite too. The food was superb and considering we were 200 guests, very efficient, delicious and hot. Staff are freindly and helpful. Thank you for a great evening. And the 5th 🌟 a great cappuccino in my flask for the drive back to Cork.

We booked Caislean Oir on a special midweek break that we seen advertised so two nights B&B & one three course dinner for €269 for two people & we really weren't expecting too much but boy were we surprised when we arrived at the hotel. We were greeted by Todd who was extremely polite & very informative & asked us would we like our three course meal on that evening or the following evening so we choose it for the evening of our arrival so he gave us our key & directed us to our double bay view room which was lovely & extremely clean with everything you needed. We had a walk down the village which is really nice with several shops a few bars a pharmacy & a very unique bookshop so all in all a lovely spot. We headed back to the hotel & headed for our meal which was included in the price.....we were simply amazed by the fabulous menu & the selection of food was to die for. The service was absolutely brilliant & the bar was very busy but the staff couldn't do enough for you they were just amazing & the food was definitely delicious & of very high quality. We both had the seafood gratin to start which was served with their homemade brown bread which was superb & I had the scampi now when I say scampi it was just outstanding huge prawns & loads of them served with sides of your choice & my partner had the 10oz filled steak which was €10 extra supplement but it was outstanding we really couldn't fit dessert but we forced ourselves & shared a mouthwatering apple crumble with homemade custard this menu was amazing & the service & food were5star plus & everything was top notch the whole experience was so good we booked in for our second night & the food was again outstanding. The breakfast on both mornings was delicious & cooked fresh & anything you wanted you could have & again the two girls that served us were outstanding & so friendly & polite. We just couldn't fault caislean oir their standards throughout the hotel are definitely 4star plus & every single member of the staff are trained to a very high standard but are also so pleasant so friendly & just go that extra mile for every single customer. We also has an issue with the safe in our room but once we told Todd about it he immediately came to the room & sorted it now that's top class service. When we were checking out we met a lovely lady Michelle on reception who was just the nicest happiest receptionist that we have ever met a truly lovely person. We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough & don't let the outside put you off because once you enter the front door there is an amazing experience awaiting you that you will never forget it's 100% high class high quality with amazing staff & that's what we all want when we go for a break away & it's a pity more hotels in Ireland don't take a leaf from this hotel because it's a pure gem & well done to everybody concerned thank you all very much for making our break so special & keep up the amazing work.

Great hotel and place to get away. Food was always delicious. Chips would be my only negative for food. They aren't great. Rooms are typical for the area and type of hotel. Comfortable and clean but don't expect things to be like chains. The charm is what you get not fancy things. Everyone there is super friendly and will definitely stay again. Brewery was really cool to see as well and we got a tour and tasting right from the fermentor. Recommend for sure if in the area.

Fantastic stay with beautiful food and such good value for money. Make sure to book dinner and the brewing experience in advance so you don't miss out. Very friendly staff and a lovely feel to the place. Thank you, Caisleán Óir!

The hotel doesn’t look exceptional from the outside but you are in for a real treat if you stay here. ||We chose it because it was reasonably priced and close to Donegal Airport into which we were flying as part of some student training.||The hotel is about a 30 minute walk or 5 to 10 minute taxi ride away from the airport. We chose to walk and the scenery is beautiful, largely following an estuary. The hotel is located at the head of this Inlet with stunning views the rooms are simple but well appointed and very comfortable. Mine, and I think most if not all of them, had a beautiful view over the coast.||We ate in the hotel restaurant and the food was delicious. Whilst breakfast formally started at 8 am, the hotel was happy to lay on whatever we wanted at 7:30 am so that we could make our departure. A number of guests were using this early facility and it was very welcome.||Everybody was unfailingly polite and helpful and I will definitely return with the family in the future.

Cant believe someone else has written what i wanted to say about the Scampi ! This is a lovely hotel with wonderful staff. The food we had was amazing. It was about three years ago that I was last here and raved about the food. was lucky to get another experience, albeit only for 1 night and was not disappointed. Dinner and breakfast were wonderful. We will def be back - well done to all of the staff , all so helpful and welcoming.

Hotel is perfect and the bar downstairs is great too. But the food is why im writing this whilst im still at the hotel. I ordered the Scampi and it was far too good. So good that it has made me deeply angry because I know I'll never have a plate of scampi that good until I come back here. Thanks Caisleain Oir hotel for making me unable to order scampi again anywhere else. Should be a 1 star review for that really, but it was too good.

We really enjoyed this hotel. It had such character and Irish charm. Big keys! Long hallways of rooms! Rooms were clean. Breakfast the best in all our hotels. |The restaurant and bar were lively and fun. They brew their own beer! |I was nervous we would not sleep with music below, but found the music to lull me to sleep!|I would definitely go back if I were in the area!

Yelp
My review is based on my dining experience here. I know the hotel itself has cozy dwellings that cover all the basic needs in a great location of Annagry Donegal so if needed it can be an appropriate overnight too. The food, atmosphere and the Craic are why I'm here to suggest you pop in. Our friends live in the area and recommended it due to the ownership being quite well aquatinted with them and most importantly to us, the fresh fish coming in daily from Jack the local fisherman (family to owner too I believe). I had an amazing seafood gratin that was overflowing with mussels, salmon, prawns, calamari...with crustini breads for garnish and dipping. For my side, I ordered a lovely fresh salad and the greens were so crisp! White wine Sauvignon Blanc (I'm a NZ fan) went perfect with it all. I highly recommend coming in for a meal at least. The menu is fabulous and offers something for everyone. Call ahead for a table too. It's the proper thing to do and the place is bound to be packed for lunch and dinner.

Yelp
Please don't differentiate between regular guests and those on any type of Groupon, etc. discount. Having the breakfast menu snatched away from me and my companions in the dining room and replaced with the discount guest menu was demeaning and embarrassing. Hollow walls, cheaply decorated, small rooms. Second star for sea view.

Yelp
We arrived to a mega friendly welcome. There's lots of parking adjacent to the hotel. This entire and proud county has happy, friendly in its DNA. It's everywhere you go and it's great. Our room was comfortable, good size with tea and coffee facilities, a TV on the wall, table, chairs, sideboard and as our room was at the front we had a lovely view across the bay. We used the hotel as a great cosy base to tour around Arranmore island, Burtonport and Dungloe. The hotel has wifi throughout. There are simply stunning beaches close by and what's most amazing is that they are pretty much empty. The breakfast choices were just ace, smoked salmon with scrambled egg, fish of the day (haddock) great brown bread and the usual meat stuff that we avoid when there's fish choices. They also make their own muesli and it's darn good too. Dinner was very good and fairly priced. Their garlic mussels were very tasty. I also enjoyed the vegetarian pasta which had only one error, the pasta was over cooked. My wife also enjoyed her prawn cocktail starter and roast chicken main. Another thing about this county; the Guinness is always served up perfect and at €4 in most places it's a bargain. There were two American movie types about town. They have a holiday home in the area, Ms Sarah J Parker (whom I never heard off) and her husband Matthew Broderick (who I recalled was Inspector Gadget). They were there with their kids - when we saw them, she looked unhappy and he looked distracted. No one bothered them which is how it should be. We return again and again to different parts of this diverse county and we enjoy it but honestly many of the roads are crap so when you visited, which you must, be prepared.
