Google
I had the shrimp gumbo and red beens and rice with sausage and it was delish. The lady’s were very nice and a comfortable and clean atmosphere :) and service dog friendly.

Google
chicken & sausage gumbo (bowl) - looks can be deceiving - not too tasty (salt and heat from the sausage). chicken chunks a plenty however pretty tough but cooked-just long enough to serve. makes one wonder if they were started to late or too frozen to begin with...

Google
Always a great place to grab delicious Gumbo, boudin, and fried fish and shrimp. They have the most hospitable staff. Thanks so much for always being so amazing to me and my family

Google
Really great hole in the wall place to go eat some good fried fish and shrimp. Their iced tea is super delicious. If you're out traveling thru Louisiana a must stop. Thank you ladies for the wonderful service and food!!

Google
Very good food. Stopped by for lunch one day. Hot food. We got the seafood platters and poboys. Cashiers super nice. Food tasted great. Good price for seafood.

Google
This was my first time here and everything was perfect. The food and the staff was amazing and the place is very clean. Next time we're over that way we are definitely going to stop there again.

Google
A small business that was very friendly and everyone seemed to care about the service. Recommended by a local when i stopped to get gas. I drove over and got the gumbo and hot boudin. Everything was very good.

Google
We always stop here for lunch on our way to New Orleans. Fried shrimp is great and price is reasonable. Service is quick and friendly.

Yelp
I went to Cajun Way again! I just have too say! I love the people! They all treat us like family and go above and beyond! They are the most absolutely angels! I love the fried shrimp dinner! The bathrooms are at most clean! I love this place and I hope you will too!

Yelp
This place was great! Food temp hot. All cooked to order. With just the proper amount of spice for us! We had the shrimp/catfish combo. With an order of Boudin balls

Brent T.

Yelp
I eat here many times a week. Friendly staff and the food is always fresh. If your in the area swing by it's definitely worth it.

Yelp
Best boudin in town ! I stop here every-time I visit home. Order ahead of you want it to be ready when you get there!

Tara G.

Yelp
The food is delicious and the staff are so friendly. I'm from California so each time I visit Crowley I have to have my Cajun Way fix. I love the spicy boudin, and I always buy the frozen links to bring home. The shrimp po-boys are delicious too!

Brad Y.

Yelp
Oh my God, this place is heaven!! Great family-owned operation. I would have taken a picture, but I couldn't quit eating my shrimp! Gumbo was flavorful but not too spicy. Fried shrimp and catfish were delicious!! It is amazing that the fried okra had zero grease coming off it. This will be my only stop between MS and TX from now on!!!

Yelp
We just stopped for lunch on our way to Florida because of some positive reviews. I ordered the shrimp gumbo which was so watery and only tiny shrimp and rice. I could not eat but 2 bites. The crackers were stale and they had no butter for the commercial rolls. The coleslaw was unrecognizable and looked like mayonnaise with a small amount of cabbage in it. I finally ordered a shrimp poor boy to have something to eat and it was decent with a very chewy French roll. All of our party was disappointed with their lunch. The food terrible and if it had been good you could have overlooked the cold in need for improvement seating. I will say the bathroom was clean but primitive. If you want good food stop somewhere else! Drive a little further and you will be at Don's Seafood.

Yelp
Good local cajun food and service. Good prices. Quaint dining area. Give them a try and see.

Yelp
This is a small family owned restaurant in Crowley, La. They are known for their Boudin but I love the Seafood dinner which consists of two fried filet catfish, fried shrimps, stuff shrimp and your choice of fries, fried okra or potato salad. Well seasoned and the staff is very friendly.

Yelp
Delicious pit stop on our move to TX. I had the shrimp basket- 8 medium sized shrimp with hot fries and a roll. My husband had the gizzards basket. We added a cup of chicken and sausage gumbo. The cup was plenty to share, hearty with meat. The restaurant isn't fancy but well kept and clean. Prices good. Definitely appeared to be the spot where locals dined- fresh food for a weary traveler!

Anonymous R.

Yelp
This restaurant is ok. The gumbo is fairly good. I'm giving it 3 stars because in my opinion, their food lacks sufficient seasoning for a Cajun restaurant. You'll find that their boudin tastes and looks pretty bland unfortunately. Their fried chicken tastes bland too.

Dana S.

Yelp
Great catfish PoBoys. Yummy hush puppies! Great customer service. Not fancy, but it's really good food. Will be back.

Yelp
So today we decided to stop here and we order the chicken strips, shrimp gumbo, and boudin. After we ordered in the drive thru we were asked to go and wait in the other parking lot until our food was ready and then we have to get back in the drive thru line to get our food. The boudin didn't have any flavor what so ever. There was no seasoning at all. The gumbo was pretty bad too and we ended up throwing it all away. Normally I can eat gumbo even if it's not so good, but not this gumbo. It was awful. I will never go back. There's no way this place can really have 4 stars!

Yelp
Everyone has a special place they like to buy their boudin at....their favorite, if you will..... In Louisiana, regional variations of boudin exist from parish to parish and neighborhood to neighborhood, but the best links always come from specialty meat shops, grocery stores, and restaurants that make it in-house. You are as likely to find a true boudin craftsman in a gas station convenience store with an added kitchen as you are in an established meat market. For many, boudin is the essential Cajun fast food, quickly filling the hunger void at any time of the day or night. I'm going to call this a beginner's link. It is a mild and simple approach to the link. Some might call it bland. It's important to remember that Crowley is the "Rice Capital of America." So, if the boudin at the Cajun Way Boudin King seems to have a lot of rice in it....well.... I happen to really enjoy Cajun Way's boudin as well as their other offerings. I find that many places try to make a meatier boudin making it greasy. I'm a fan and if I'm traveling through at lunchtime, I usually stop here.

Yelp
Had the cravings for a shrimp Po boy. And found this spot. The Pinot was good shrimp fried nicely and the bread was perfect. Will stop again. Tried the Bodin mild and it was ok as well as the red rice and beans. Clean nice and friendly staff

Yelp
Today 9/10/2021 bought Reg hot/warm 1lb of Boudin but tasted kinda sour. Threw it out and just thought it was a one time thing. BUT Also bought 6lbs frozen at the same time to take home. A day later I heated up a pack and it tasted bland and kinda funny (didn't taste right). Enough so that I threw it away also. I don't know what's going on in that kitchen and if their refrigerator/freezer is even working but someone is going to get bad food poisoning sooner or later. Just Beware folks !!!

Yelp
We were driving from Arizona to Florida and were hungry. We pulled off the freeway for gas and I checked Yelp for lunch suggestions. Cajun Way came up and was close by. It's sort of a Cajun fast-food place, very casual. I think they had a drive up window. My spouse had shrimp and grits which she loved. I had red beans and rice with sausage. OK, not great. Beans and rice were good, sausage...meh. The staff was great, refills on sweet tea were included and I love being called "Honey" in the South! I'd go back but would choose something else. My spouse would stick with the shrimp! Prices were very reasonable and the portions were large.

Yelp
Stopped here on the way to Texas based on reviews. The food and service did not disappoint! We ordered the cooked boudin, shrimp, sausage and catfish poboys, and chicken and sausage gumbo. Delicious!! They hit the spot for my Cajun food craving before we leave Louisiana.

Yelp
Was referred to this spot by my Dad's Captain....he let us know this place had the BEST Shrimp Po'Boys in town. Nice little spot with plenty of seating, clean place & wonderful Customer service. Very friendly staff & they really make you feel at home. OMG the Boudin was DEElish.....I had never tried it & they let me sample, I ended up buying a couple of sausages to share with my family. KEEP IT UP CAJUN WAY

Yelp
Doesn't get any better than this. Boudin (I recommend the hot version) or shrimp gumbo are my favorites. You also can't beat the prices.

Yelp
Delicious! I had the shrimp gumbo and my hubby had the chicken and sausage. We shared a lb of spicy boudin between us. Best boudin we ever ate! We wanted a midday lunch on our way to New Orleans. This little place hit the spot! Warning, if you like a dark rue, this gumbo is not for you. I'll go here again!

Yelp
Stopped here while driving through. Clean & small local restaurant, friendly employees. Shrimp poboys were really good, as were the chicken tenders and fried shrimp platter. Took some frozen boudin to go.

Loree L.

Yelp
We won't be back. The shrimp salad was terrible. I was told that it had boiled shrimp on top. When I go to a seafood restaurant, I expect fresh shrimp. What I got looked like those little Chinese shrimp that come out of a bag. They tasted like rubber over Iceburg lettuce. Yuck! My husband and da three had the fried shrimp which were decent and more along the lines of what I expected on my salad only boiled. What a disappointment.

Yelp
Best shrimp poboys in town! Every time we are in town visiting my son and I have to pay this place a visit! Polite staff and fantastic service! The price is reasonable and it is consistently great!

Yelp
If you want a cajun fix, Cajun Way is the perfect lunch spot. It's a casual, local spot for some good Louisiana flavor. I would suggest getting a half pound of spicy boudin with your meal. You can order it to go or eat in at the restaurant. The boudin is tasty and not too spicy even if you order it spicy. The seafood platter of catfish, fried shrimp, and crab ball with french fries is very filling. Also, Cajun Way is good for a group of friends. It's a small place with a big taste. Cajun Way is a very affordable and delicious restaurant to get some seafood and boudin. Try it and you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Very disappointed here. Have always stopped here for a shrimp poboy when in the area (1-2 years apart), and they sure aren't the same anymore. Bread is funky. You only get 6 placed shrimp now. What happened to overstuffed poboys? Still OK, but not a destination anymore.

Ryan R.

Yelp
Boudin is absolutely delicious. Very friendly staff. Not to mention the awesome fried catfish dinner. Only complaint is the restaurant is too small. With a party of more than 4 there is really no place to sit and visit.
google avatar

Jackson M.

Yelp
This is a quaint local eatery which makes home made Cajun food. I didn't even know how to properly pronounce boudin but the server Felicia was happy to give me a large free sample. Boudin for lunch is really cheap! I paid like $3 or $4 for a pound which was more than enough. My mom had the gumbo which she liked a lot. Definitely a great place to stop on the highway between Houston and New Orleans.

Yelp
Mild boudin had little flavor. Gumbo was meaty. Served as links. Politestaff.

David L.

Yelp
This "not so fast-food" place has the best fried shrimp anywhere. They cook your meal to order. Their fried oysters (when in season) are worth the trip alone but the shrimp are so good that even then I end up ordering the shrimp. It is necessary to also buy some boudin I like the hot version -- it isn't really too hot. Boudin is a pork and rice sausage.

Yelp
I usually have a great experience at this restaurant however my visit today did not go well. I ordered my food through the drive-thru and was told to circle around the restaurant several times until my order was ready. I didn't like doing this so I went inside for my food and asked questions about the order process for the window and heard a rude comment concerning me coming from the manager. A male employee egged her on. I do not plan to return to Cajun Way and hope the restaurant invests in a speaker system for better customer service.

Althea F.

Yelp
Very disappointed in the service. Do not go to the drive thru window. Although I have purchased food in the past without incidence, I encountered the most rude and unprofessional person who yelled at me. I asked her to be more professional and she stated I should have called in my order. I live 100 miles from Crowley. I asked her to speak to a manager she told me she was the manager and refused to call anyone else but continued yelling. I know for a fact this young lady was not the manager. I requested my money back and she continued yelling. I called the other restaurant to speak to a Tommy Spell who I was told was the General Manager and have not received a callback. If folks do not like their job, perhaps they should get more education to do something to their liking or this person should be relegated to a non customer contact position. So sad for a restaurant I have gone to many times for food for my mother who is in the last stages of her life and doesn't have much of an appetite. Now due to this unsavory character she will be denied one of the few foods she manages to tolerate. A sad testimony for a restaurant that had a good reputation with me for many years.
