Absolutely beautiful little beach and totally worth visiting, but if you want to actually make it there and not pay a 200 euro fine read this review Very carefully lol… You can drive and park near the trailhead UNTIL 10am, if your car is found in the lot anytime after that you’ll be fined 200 euros, so this is Not the best option and I highly recommend against it… The Best option…arrive at Cala Formentor at 9:30am, park in the big free lot there and wait for the bus that stops right outside the parking lot…the bus costs 3 euros each way, get off at the first stop, the trailhead will be a few feet away well marked on the right side…hike takes about 20 minutes and is easy, although I recommend running shoes or at least water shoes and not flip flops… When you arrive at the beach, ZIP UP ALL FOOD!! I can’t stress this enough, the goats are very cute but they will RUN UP AND STEAL YOUR FOOD, I literally saw this happen during my visit… I went on a Saturday in mid-September and it wasn’t crowded at all which was great, overall I’d really recommend visiting this beautiful beach

Amazing beach in Mallorca. You can take the bus to get there as access was blocked for cars. Then there’s a 15-20min easy trail to get to the spot. We went in September in an afternoon and it was very quiet. The goats are chill and they will come to you if you have food :)

Beautiful hidden spot to swim! You will find goats and donkeys and they might be a bit persistent with your food! Despite that, it is totally worth it!

Amazing place ! The walk to the beach from the bus stop and back is quite easy and very enjoyable, in the shadow of trees. Saw donkeys and a lot of goats. The nature in the bay is just breathtaking, with crystal clean water of amazing colors ! Seems like a paradise. I also recommend to follow a path to El Castellet to the right of the beach, which in 10 minutes will lead you to gorgeous wide panoramic views over the see.

Nothing special — there are much more beautiful places. The walk from the bus takes about 30 minutes downhill, and the same way back uphill. It’s not too strenuous, not very steep. The beach is pebbly, and don’t bring food unless you want to be ‘attacked’ by goats. They won’t hurt you, but they won’t leave you alone either. The water felt cold to me here. For snorkeling, I didn’t find it ideal — not much to see underwater. We left in the afternoon, and they only let as many people on the bus as there are seats — standing is not allowed! Some people had to stay at the stop. The bus runs every 40 minutes, but going downhill two came at once. The one marked ‘Alcudia’ didn’t let us on, and the other one dropped us off in the previous town and didn’t allow us to transfer to the other bus — they just left us there. It’s a bus terminal, so luckily another bus to Alcudia came 5 minutes later, but it was still a pretty unpleasant experience.

Very underrated Cala to visit. It was very quiet even during peak season. You have to walk about 25 minutes from where the bus drops you off but it’s mostly shaded. There is also some shade there which is nice. You can expect to see goats around so be sure to bring a closed bag.

The main road leading to the starting point of the small hike down to the beach is closed between 10am and 7pm but there is a bus line commuting every 20-30mins between the parking (15€/day) and the Formentor lighthouse. The hike itself is nice and takes about 25mins down to the beach. The beach is rocky, swimming shoes is a must. There is a hiking possibility on both side of the beach with great views. No shops or bars, go prepared.

Very easy walk to the beach, some people used strollers. If you bring food, the donkeys and goats will try to eat it. So, if you aren’t good with animals, probably best to leave food at home. The water was beautiful, but not a ton of space, on busier days probably best to go to Cala figuera
