The 15 Best Secret Beaches in Europe

"A small, sheltered cove reached via a headland footpath from a busier neighboring inlet, this tucked-away pocket is cocooned by low rocks and bushy, tree-peppered headland with jade water and a narrow sliver of sand. It’s quieter than its neighbor and ideal for sunbathing on flat rocks that shelf into the sea, and a nearby beachfront restaurant provides snacks and simple meals for visitors who don’t bring provisions." - Julia Buckley Julia Buckley Julia Buckley is a journalist who’s been writing about Italy for more than 15 years. Beautiful beach with clear blue water. Parking is available and near the beach area. There are 2 sides of this beach. One has quite many stones but the other side is more beautiful with fine sand and the water there is also much better. I suggest to go there but it requires some hike (a little adventure!). You still get to see the beach on the way. The views are beautiful. [Take note] We went around the first week of April and there were jellyfishes so be careful if you’re coming in this time. Overall a nice beach.

It can get a bit crowded, especially towards the end of the day when the sun begins to set and everyone gathers on the small part of the bay where the sunlight hits. Still, what a peaceful and beautiful spot. We had to do a bit of hiking to get there, even with flip-flops, but it was totally doable.

Absolutely beautiful beach! Highly recommended! The water is crystal clear and the view is stunning. If you’re arriving late, I suggest coming by scooter – car parking is very limited, but scooters can usually get through. Even though it was quite crowded, we still managed to find a small spot to relax. We had lunch at the beach restaurant nearby, which was a nice break. Personally, I wouldn’t stay here the whole day due to the number of people, but if you do plan to, make sure to bring plenty of water, food, and essentials. Also, keep in mind that there’s no mobile signal in the area.

This is a paradise . It’s amazing the waters are like a pool . There are 2 parts . The first part is the easier for everyone to just sit in a sun bed and relax ,there is one cafe bar on the side . Not ideally for kids are this is beach is with stones . The second part is 5-7 min walking distance but you need to climb a little bit . There is maybe another path to reach the small sandy beach . You can go by car but to be sure you can take the car in the parking a lot close to the beach go there very early otherwise you need to leave the car 10-15 min walking distance . You can also take a taxi or the bus to take you to the beach . Enjoy !oh lucky you there is no signal down there so enjoy it !!!!!!

Nice small beach. Require good shoes to access as there is a little hike. No cell coverage. Can be very crowded during the weekend.

Amazing beach, we spent the entire afternoon there and loved it. The five-minute hike to get there can be a little slippery. Make sure you have cash in order to get in the bus that will drive you to a taxi station, because there are no taxis there. The beach can get a bit crowded but it's worth the wait.

Very beautiful views and sandy beach. We came very early (8am) and the beach was ours for about an hour. Lots of negative reviews about the parking but we had no problem as the guard wasn't even there yet. Be sure to walk close to the fence if you want to reach the bigger beach.

Yelp
Such a great beach to spend the day at! It is only a short bus ride away from the main Saint Antoni terminal, with buses coming to & from every half hour. Spent an entire afternoon with friends here. Very family-friendly, with amazing swimming vibes and gentle waves. I would definitely recommend to bring your own water and necessities, as there isn't anywhere to obtain them at the beach. Definitely do not miss out on Cala Salada and Saladeta if you are near the north side of the island.
