"With its 26 suites, private beach, and two waterfront bars, Calabash Cove offers a boutique hotel alternative to the typical all-inclusive experience. Set a stone’s throw from the turquoise waves of Bonaire Bay, the sprawling, Balinese-inspired Water’s Edge cottages are the ones to book thanks to private plunge pools, outdoor rain showers, and patio hammocks positioned to highlight superb sunsets. The resort’s remote location ensures tranquility, as does the spa, which offers in-room treatments using ingredients sourced from St. Lucia's floral and culinary bounty. That abundance is also on display in the Windsong restaurant, where local dishes get an elegant twist (octopus tempura, smoked coconut crème brûlée) in a terrace dining room with the ultimate ocean backdrop. Follow your meal with a brief walk down Calabash Cove’s small boardwalk and stop to spot shooting stars in the dark skies above."

My husband and I visited Calabash Cove for my birthday and are so sad to be leaving today. We met so many wonderful people and wonderful staff. The resort and grounds are breathtaking and the staff are so friendly and made our stay amazing and memorable. We rented a car for the week and toured all over the island, exploring and experiencing the sights and culture. We will be back, it’s so beautiful. Special thanks to Shanelle, Alston, Kiron, and ALL of the staff for making our stay so great. Shanelle made my birthday super special. ❤️

Came here for our baby moon in 2023 (January 1-8). Very pleased with customer care after we complained our room had no hot water we got upgraded to a room with a private little pool. The food and service was excellent. Loved the private little beach and also the pool and gym were nice. We rented a car and often went out for dinners and other things at night. We also drove to the other side of the island one day. Overall- gorgeous hotel and would highly recommend.

Calabash cove is half way between Rodney bay and Castries. It is situated just off the main road between the two. Because it has an isolated position hiring a car or getting a taxi is the best way out of the hotel. |The main road gets very busy and a 10 minute journey to RB or Castries can take around 30 minutes or more. It has a small private and delightful beach area with sun loggers and umbrellas. Also a pool with loungers but no umbrellas. Why???|Our room was listed as a junior suite. Nice room. Bit dated. Large balcony with a great sea view. |The restaurant is average. Breakfast okish but dinner was not good . Staff are nice.|Used a hire car for restaurants. The coal pot was excellent. Would recommend b & b rather than half board. |Overall good value but at best a four star resort

Calabash Cove was truly an amazing experience! For those looking for an intimate and personal vacation while still having a private and luxurious feel, Calabash Cove checks all the boxes.||While we have nothing but positive things to say, the two things that stood out to us were the food and the service. From the Windsong restaurant to the pool bar, the culinary staff does an incredible job of crafting an amazing menu and specials that are always incredible. We recommend the goat cheese appetizer and the St. Lucian Seafood Pot!||Finally, the service was one of a kind. From the moment we walked in we felt at home. I don’t think I ever heard “no” or “we can’t do that”. Travis, Daniel, Michael, Christian, Dona, Joaquim and the rest of the staff did an incredible job of keeping the good vibes going and providing a personalized experience.||If we find ourselves back in St. Lucia, Calabash Cove will be our first stop and we couldn’t recommend it more!

If you’re looking for a beautiful, intimate, and peaceful resort, Calabash is perfect. Its sheltered location means the beach and sea are calm, unlike many other St. Lucia resorts, and it’s ideally positioned for stunning sunsets.||There’s one main restaurant, but the view, ambiance, and nightly specials make dining there a pleasure. Evening entertainment is low-key and elegant — pianists, saxophonists, and jazz singers provide gentle background music.||Guests can use kayaks and paddleboards freely; kayaking around the nearby island or along the coast is especially rewarding. Birdwatchers will love the friendly birds that often visit balconies or breakfast tables, adding to the resort’s charm.

Had the most wonderful honeymoon experience here in May 2025. The beachside cabin was an unbelievable experience and we would highly recommend. It came with it's own plunge pool and the room itself had A/C, which was much needed after being outside in the St. Lucian sun. Also, the outdoor shower was a nice touch and from our cabin we had a beautiful view of the beach. We loved all of the food from the Windsong restaurant for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We had the Breakfast Only plan but definitely didn't feel the need to get the All Inclusive despite having drinks with most meals - we ended up saving a lot of money but up to you if want the peace of mind and eat/drink a fair share. Also, the view from the top of the lobby/restaurant cannot be beat. The amenities along the beach, the spa, the gym (while limited, it definitely gets the job done) are all great perks. We had a private dinner scheduled for the pier one night but since it rained, they put us under a covered patio on the beach (which was just as great!). The one thing that put this hotel over the top and beyond 5 stars is THE STAFF. We knew going in we wanted a boutique experience that was personalized to us for our honeymoon. Not only did we get that, but we got the most friendly, personable waiters, bartenders, and front desk staff you can imagine. Everyone was amazing but special shout outs to Christian, Shanelle, Michael, Travis, Sandy, Teddy, Rohan, and many more I'm missing since it's been several months. You all truly made our stay here amazing! We hope to make it back here sometime again in the future.

While planning for our anniversary getaway, Calabash Cove stood out for its great reviews, so our expectations were high coming in - and our expectations were met or exceeded in every way. It is the ideal resort for people who are looking for a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. We really liked having the bed and breakfast package as a more budget-friendly option instead of all-inclusive. If you don't plan to drink a lot of booze, or if you want to eat off-resort, it's a great choice. But there's no need to eat anywhere else, because the restaurant was outstanding. Every meal was delicious, and there was plenty of variety with the daily specials. The live music every night was fun and added to the experience. The restaurant would benefit from some ceiling fans to make dining a little more comfortable in the evening when the wind dies down. We stayed in Cottage 1, which is at the northern end of the property and provides total privacy, surrounded by lush vegetation and away from walking paths. The plunge pool and outdoor shower were highlights. The cottage's lounge area, where the TV is located, is not air conditioned. There is a ceiling fan, but it's really too small for the space - I recommend that they upgrade to larger fans. Everyone on the staff was friendly and helpful - particularly Travis, who made our anniversary dinner in the gazebo very special. The little touches impressed us, like the glasses of rum punch at our arrival, and the complimentary bottle of champagne and special decorations in our room for our anniversary. The couple's massage at our cottage was wonderful. The landscaping was gorgeous, and the beach area was well maintained with plenty of seating and hammocks. We enjoyed using the kayaks and snorkeling gear - there's a good snorkeling area on the north end of the beach area that is more rocky than right in front of the beach where we saw a variety of colorful fish and sea urchins. If we ever return to St. Lucia, we would absolutely stay at Calabash Cove again.

2-Star Hotel in a 5-Star Location||This place has so much potential, but wow — what a disappointment. For the price they charge, the overall experience is downright lousy. The location is stunning, but that’s where the compliments end. I have no clue how this resort has such high ratings, because our stay was far from five-star.|Rooms|The rooms are old, dated, and in desperate need of a deep clean and renovation. You’d think for these prices, you’d get a luxury room with a comfortable bed and top-notch finishes. Nope. Everything feels worn out and past its prime. The place needs a serious overhaul.|Food|Let’s talk about the food — because, honestly, that chef needs to go back to basics. Every meal was overcooked, and completely joyless. We actually started dreading mealtime. For what this place costs, you’d expect restaurant-quality food, not something that tastes like it came out of a school cafeteria. If you do stay here, just book bed and breakfast and plan to eat your other meals elsewhere.|Drinks|The drinks were decent, but there’s no beach bar and no staff taking drink orders down by the beach. You’ve got to climb a bunch of stairs just to grab a cocktail, which kills the vibe completely.|Resort|The beach is the real gem — absolutely beautiful — but getting to and from it is a workout. There are so many stairs, it’s not practical for anyone with mobility issues or anyone just trying to relax.|Overall|This is a 2-star hotel sitting on a 5-star piece of land. The location is gorgeous, but the property itself is run-down, the food is bad, and the value just isn’t there. Such a waste of potential — and honestly, a waste of money.
