Calamari Hostel

For the price of a bunk in a hostel we got a full double room. The staff was very accommodating. The room was big and had full amenities. Nice TV, mini fridge, desk area, hot shower, and large bed. I have lived in Taiwan for two years and stayed all over the islands and the outlying Islands. This was the best value for the money paid.

As others remarked, this is pretty much a hotel and not a hostel. We've been to Penghu a half dozen times and stayed at a different location each time. We've never had a poor experience but this is the first time where I thought "I'll definitely return to this hotel on the next trip." At an excellent price, you get a very spacious room, fully modern with a lovely bathroom. We didn't need much help from the front desk but our interactions with them were warm and accommodating. Calamari offers a great combination of value and quality. Highly recommended.

This hostel can be more considered as a real hotel. Our room was very clean and big, with a well equipped bathroom inside. |The best thing was the staff, Momo, a girl who works there, helped us in many ways (translation English-Chinese, place to visit, scooters...). |Good price and central location.

We've made at least 5 trips to Penghu and Calamari is the best place we've stayed at yet. A great combination of value and quality. Rooms are large and modern, the front desk is quite helpful, and the free Mos Burger breakfast sandwiches are a nice touch. We'll be back.

No breakfast provided… the water bottle too small! Staff were very friendly n kinds! Bathroom was broken the day we were in and unable to used it😭 The certain had model in the bathroom…
