Calcot & Spa

"Cozy and comfy country living is what’s on offer at the Calcot, an old world manor house with a state-of-the-art spa in Tetbury. If you fancy spending all your time in the dreamy indoor pool or courtyard hot tub, you can. If you fancy a G&T by a window overlooking the garden, or cycling the through the 220-acre grounds, you can. If you fancy eating fine food in the Conservatory restaurant or hanging with the kids in a barn complex with Xboxes and ping pong, you can. The 35 rooms set round a courtyard of stone farm buildings with 12 in the main house are all charming, big beds, plenty of space, mixing the traditional with the contemporary in furnishing and decked out in a neutral palette with the odd bit of color and print. Relaxed rather than grandiose, with a wide range of treatments on offer in the spa and a choice of fab pub food in the main building’s Gumstool Inn if the Conservatory’s upscale modern British and European food gets too much, the Calcot is a destination for special occasions where everyone will be happy."

Had the most amazing spay stayover with x2 friends in Barn Suite. The location is idyllic and tranquil but accessible to many places of interest and Tetbury market town is 3miles away with lovely restaurants. Upon arrival to checkout everything was excellent - all staff from reception, brasseries staff and spa team. Big shoutout to Charlotte - my spa therapist who was amazing and attentive to my needs. Outdoor hotub was situated in a beautiful courtyard with a open fire to relax and have drinks. An Food in Brasserie for Lunch and Breakfast was great. The interior decor of the overall place is beautiful and in keeping - absolutely faultless. With so so many chillout areas across the hotel and spa and gym club to relax. Our Barn Suite was spacious and so comfortable with x2 ensuite bedrooms and lounge. Cannot recommend enough and will definitely be returning in the not too distant future.

We had such a great time at Calcot & Spa. The hotel is gorgeous – everything from the nature walk and gardens to the incredible 2 floored room with double bath was very impressive. The Hotel is so well kept and peaceful. Our room was super comfy and had everything we needed. There is a proper Spa, indoor and outdoor pool with family swim, jacuzzi and fully equipped gym. The hotel also has a bike hire which we used to explore the huge grounds the hotel has.||The staff were honestly what made it extra special. Dave the porter was amazing – so friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived, and just one of those people who make you feel instantly welcome. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he made us feel at ease straight away. And Sasha in The Hive Bar was brilliant too – always smiling, really attentive to us and our child and just lovely to chat with.||Beautiful place, lovely people, and great vibes all around. Can’t wait to come back!

We had such a wonderful stay at Calcot Manor! From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly warm, friendly, and attentive — nothing was too much trouble. The service really made our visit feel special and relaxed. What stood out most was how family-friendly everything is. The hotel is so well geared towards families with children — from the play barn to the thoughtful touches that make travelling with little ones so much easier. It’s rare to find somewhere that caters so well to both adults and children, allowing everyone to truly unwind. The rooms were beautiful and comfortable, the food was delicious, and the whole atmosphere was calm and welcoming. We left feeling refreshed and already can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a family-friendly getaway!

My husband and I absolutely loved our stay at Calcot & Spa. The setting itself is very picturesque and the hotel feels cosy (we loved the fires that were lit throughout the property, including next to the hot tub outside). Bed was comfy and despite the hotel being booked up during our stay, it was very quiet at night and we didn’t hear any neighbours. The food was of a high standard but we thought the service in particular was excellent. The free snacks in the room and the goodie bag on departure were a memorable touch! We’d booked treatments in advance and would recommend the massages. We’d definitely stay again.

My wife and I were delighted to return to The Calcot for an overnight stay. We enjoyed our time there and found it very relaxing. Our arrival qs handled very efficiently and helpfully and the check in was very efficient and welcoming. The service was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals in the Dining room. Our "Room" was a converted small cottage and was delightful in decor and equipment. However, we discovered that there were two very significant steps up and down between tha bedroom anbd the bathroom which we found awkward to navigate, particularly at night, when the lighting was reduced. That aside, we shall certainly return to The Calcot again.

We just spent 3 nights at Calcot with our 5 year old daughter. The staff are wonderful and our daughter loves the children's creche! We also enjoy walks on the property, swimming in the pool, and the outdoor children's play area. We have been going to Calcot for over 15 years. My only concern with the hotel is that there is excessive smoke in the hotel restaurant and lounges from the many wood burning fireplaces. We have always enjoyed the fires there, but the management needs to find a way to minimise smoke in the common areas. The smoke caused a sore throat and headache for me after just an hour or two. I had to go over to the Grain Store/ gym (which are both lovely) to get a break from the indoor smoke. I would also point out that because the fires are started around 7am and go until well into the evening - that there is never a break from the smoke. I feel bad for the staff who are being exposed to unhealthy levels of smoke. I hope that the management will look into how to reduce smoke levels whilst keeping the ambience.

We had the best time at Calcot & Spa! The staff were absolutely amazing — so friendly and welcoming, we honestly felt like royalty. The rooms were beautiful and the attention to detail was spot on.||Our daughter loved the Playbarn — she didn’t want to leave! It’s such a great setup for kids and made our stay super easy and relaxed.||The whole place is just stunning, and we love what they’re doing with the rewilding and sustainability projects. You can really feel the care that goes into everything here.||Can’t recommend it enough — we’ll definitely be back!

Wow! What a place! We spent a wonderfully relaxing night in the Barn Suite at Calcot and were blown away by the both the place and the staff. Our suite was huge, immaculately clean and really well designed. Lots of little touches to make it feel homely yet luxurious. The hotel and its grounds are gorgeous, lots of lovely places to sit and relax. And the staff, particularly the reception and spa staff, couldn't do enough to help. Really attentive and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. I loved the spa facilities (very clean!) and the outside hot tub was definitely my favourite place to sit and relax. For family entertainment we loved having the outdoor pool to ourself for an impromptu game of pool volleyball, and also wandering in the nearby fields and woods hunting for lost frizbees whilst playing disc golf. Such fun! I'd be back there tomorrow if I could! Thank you Calcot.
