After staring at the Calf for 20 years from the Sound Cafe I finally got to walk round it! A boat ride will take you to one of 2 small harbours depending on the sea conditions and we had 3 hours to walk round and explore the island and its lighthouses. Beautiful! Lots of seals in the bay, lovely marked paths to follow around.

A lovely little ecological gem with lots or scenery and scenic walks but needs to be done when the weather is good as need to get a boat to drop you there. Lovely scenic walks

Such a unique place to visit with the many lighthouses scattered around the small island and the views back towards the Isle of Man. It is a truly peaceful place.
It is well worth the boat trip to reach the island to explore, I would recommend bringing along a picnic.

Calf of Man, United Kingdom, is a bird sanctuary owned by Manx National Heritage. Purple flowering heathers add a touch of color to the island in spring and summer.

Book a boat from Port St Mary and take a picnic. Walk to the old lighthouses and enjoy breathtaking views over the sea. Calf of Man is a lovely island, easily walkable and allows you to get close to nature. Seals, Dolphins, Kittiwakes, Guillemots and Puffins all make for a lovely few hours of tranquillity.
