Calf of Man

Absolutely awesome trip out today with Walking.im Just brilliant! Great day, guide Ken is knowledgeable and extremely friendly. Was travelling alone and felt most welcome. Absolutely loved it!

After staring at the Calf for 20 years from the Sound Cafe I finally got to walk round it! A boat ride will take you to one of 2 small harbours depending on the sea conditions and we had 3 hours to walk round and explore the island and its lighthouses. Beautiful! Lots of seals in the bay, lovely marked paths to follow around.

A lovely little ecological gem with lots or scenery and scenic walks but needs to be done when the weather is good as need to get a boat to drop you there. Lovely scenic walks

Such a unique place to visit with the many lighthouses scattered around the small island and the views back towards the Isle of Man. It is a truly peaceful place. It is well worth the boat trip to reach the island to explore, I would recommend bringing along a picnic.

Calf of Man, United Kingdom, is a bird sanctuary owned by Manx National Heritage. Purple flowering heathers add a touch of color to the island in spring and summer.

Had a lovely afternoon ..sailing from port Erin ..on the Shona ..if your to the Isle of Man ...this is a must...

Book a boat from Port St Mary and take a picnic. Walk to the old lighthouses and enjoy breathtaking views over the sea. Calf of Man is a lovely island, easily walkable and allows you to get close to nature. Seals, Dolphins, Kittiwakes, Guillemots and Puffins all make for a lovely few hours of tranquillity.
