HONG KONG STYLE STAMPEDE BREAKFAST The Stampede's free Chinese-style breakfast, served from 10 am to noon, is advertised with limited servings, but the exact number is not specified. Upon arrival at 10 am, I was met with an incredibly long line. I was informed that joining the line didn't guarantee breakfast, as only 500 dishes were available. After waiting for 45 minutes, I had barely moved and decided to quit. The concept of offering something new is commendable, but the event's organization is subpar. It's unacceptable to make people wait for hours without ensuring they'll receive food. A more efficient approach would be to distribute limited tickets to those in line ahead of time, guaranteeing that they'll receive their share. Due to the poor organization, I do not recommend attending this event! You can see from the pictures that’s no end in sight.

Absolutely great place to discover - amazing decoration, atmosphere at the center itself. There is museum at the basement. Just enter it from the stairs in the hall. Not big, but has a lot of treasures to discover, history to see, impressions to get. Free entrance, no ticket is needed (just if you are the group and want to have a guided tour, then better to contact them in advance).

5-Star Review for Chinese Culture Center This center is fantastic! The Temple of Heaven-style design is stunning, and the free kids’ dragon dance practice every Sunday is a total highlight—kids love it, and it’s a great way to learn culture. Highly recommend for anyone who loves beautiful spaces or wants to share Chinese culture with kids!

Visted mid- November. Not much to look at or to do as a tourist. Most restaurants closed nearby. There are pickle playing inside for locals. Not recommended to stop by.

I was able to visit Calgary Chinese Cultural Center in celebration of Qing Ming Festival. The organization is lively and family oriented. If you are looking for a place to learn Chinese culture, this is the place, highly recommended.

Fantastic cultural centre with an impressive museum in the basement. There are certain events that take place from time to time where there are free activities and performances (Chinese singing). There are also badminton courts & table tennis 🏓 tables. It is an excellent facility for the local Chinese community.

A place to learn Chinese cultural and heritage history. Lots of information available for Chinese historical articles and books available for review and learn. Also at various times of the year exhibition, show and Chinese musical stories are open to the public. Also available lions and dragon dancing are public for the public during Chinese activities and Chinese new year celebrations.

Yelp
The Calgary Chinese Cultural Centre is a great way to spend an hour immersing yourself in history and tradition. We enjoyed ourselves looking at relics and items from the past. The museum is housed in the basement of the centre and is not very large but still had interesting information. I would definitely recommend a trip here when you visit Calgary. Admission is free and open to the public. There are other classes held throughout the centre, just look for the calendar or bulletin boards. There is also a pharmacy on the first floor that sells traditional Chinese medicine.

Yelp
In the heart of Chinatown is the large & ornate cultural center. The entire area has Chinese touches, and lots of Chinese detail on the buildings. The ornate ceiling, pillars costumes inside are reminiscent of China. Chinese medicine, translators, English classes & the Chinese Community Congress are housed here. There are Chinese shops & restaurants are along Centre Street, a block away. Love the Chinese senior center here.

Yelp
We thoroughly enjoyed our time exploring here - and their free museum downstairs is such a hidden gem and a fantastic place to start when exploring Calgary's vibrant Chinatown! All the staff are helpful and very welcoming and the entrance is just beautiful- outside and inside! The plaza leading up to the entrance is lovely - lots of art and character. And when you enter, be sure to look up and appreciate the beautiful dome interior! There's so many intricate details. Also there are some small exhibits located around the halls on the upper floors before you go into the museum so don't miss those - very cool! The museum downstairs is the real star of the show - we were so impressed! They have lots of exhibits and interesting replicas. I really enjoyed the large replica exhibit of the terracotta soldiers - I had no idea how huge they actually are! And of the antique seismograph for measuring earthquake activity - that was really cool. They have a very detailed exhibit on the development of Calgary's Chinese community spanning over 100 years that was so fascinating. We had no idea about any of that history and are so glad we stopped in. They had lots of early artifacts and stories and many other interesting pieces, including a small wall of photographs of Calgary's Chinatown throughout its history - which was a fantastic way to start our morning exploring the area. Calgary has a surprisingly large Chinatown and if you're at all interested in Chinese culture, I highly recommend starting here and then be sure to explore the town itself. Lots to see! Oh and there's a decent bathroom up on the second floor too!

Yelp
If you are in Calgary Chinatown area, it is worth your while to drop by Calgary Chinese Cultural Centre. The interior is modelled after the Hall of Prayers of the Temple of Heaven in Beijing. The 70 foot high ceiling is decorated with 561 dragons and 40 phoenixes. Make sure to check out the 4 columns with gold ornamentation representing each season. The oute of the dome is covered in blue tiles imported from China and crafted by the same company that endowed the Temple of Heaven during the Ming Dynasty 600 years ago. Aside from the architectural significance, CCCC also held interest class, events, performance and celebration that promotes Chinese heritage and cultural. Check their website for listings and schedules.

Yelp
Its a very nice building that is for sure. There are events happening here. If you like you can take classes here like Tai Chi, Cantonese, Kung fu etc. Depending what they have to offer at that time. There are parking but you need to pay. Its close to Chinatown.

Yelp
This is a pretty huge arts and crafts store dedicated to Chinese items on the main floor of the Chinese Cultural Centre. There is a pretty grand selection of things to buy there and I must admit it is an extremely elegant store filled with everything Chinese in the color red. Huge selections of calendars, fans, massage balls, toys, stuffies, stationary, incense, majong sets and scrolls. You can even buy swords, dragon costumes and masks here and if you want to add some flair to your home then there are cute pillows and beautiful Chinese drawings. Everything seems to be reasonably priced and if could easily be a one stop shop.

Yelp
The Chinese Cultural Centre is absolutely beautiful, and a true landmark to Calgary's increasing multi-culturalism. They have a ton of different events held here, and all take advantage of its inner beauty. I love the general goods store which has everything from origami paper to tea sets to anime stuff and fake swords. It's fun to wander through. The traditional medicine centre has excellent staff if you're into acupuncture. Try it. The Centre actually offers many new classes in Calgary too. Many are in english about traditional Chinese culture, but there are also language classes for those wanting to learn mandarin and cantonese. I was taking one such class and they were remarkably understanding when I had to withdraw - they gave me back most of my money. The classes were small, but good, and it is fun to explore the levels of this huge place in detail.
