I have been an old-time customer of this place. Visiting it today almost after a year I ordered chicken Shanghai noodles (23i) from the menu. Seeing the picture shown in the menu had chicken in them I went for that. To my surprise, it was outright chickenless with maybe only tiny specs of chicken here and there. Similarly, there were no veggies in it either. I was shocked by how poorly my food was prepared and brought in front of me with noodles tossed in oil only. My question to the management: do you think your customers are fools?? And won't notice if you skip the protein in the noodles ??? Pathetic and unacceptable. I won't be bringing my family to dine in at your restaurant anymore.

Google
Overall a good meal. I ordered the set of soup, 1 dish and rice. The cabbage, belly pork with vermicelli dish was really good! The Chinese peanut soup was excellent.

Google
My favourite place for Cantonese and Hong Kong style food. Love their breakfast selection. Curry brisket, pan fried chicken, Portuguese chicken, Hainan chicken, beef noodle soups, salt and pepper squid, and stir fried noodles are my favourites. Extensive menu, and are English speaking friendly. Can’t beat the price, flavour, authenticity, overall quality and satisfaction.

Google
Gosh I love this place. One of the best spots for Hong Kong Cafe style food - Really brings you back home. I typically get the Hainan style curry with rice, but their menu is pretty sizable for all to enjoy. It gets pretty busy here during breakfast and lunch, be warned. Staff are friendly and accomodating. Highly recommend!

Google
Pretty nice place! Friendly staff, but efficient at what to do. You enter this place, and honestly, it's this eclectic feel of clean and modern, yet still very much simmering shiny 🌟Chinese gaud somehow. Don't know how to explain the decor, but it's nice! But of all, food came out much quicker than expected, and normally I'm a big eater, but even for me, the portions there were really big. I had to take some of this back to my hotel, because I was easily filled. I'd come back again if I had the chance!

Google
Milk tea is 8/10 but food is ok. The pineapple bun is cold while waiting for 15 mins. I was expecting I got a hot dish. The noodle has zero taste as well so I rate 5/10

Google
I paid cash and they forced me to tip them like it’s a mandatory thing to do. 0/100 attitude. Food is okay.

K Lee

Google
the food is very promising. Service needs some work. Hard to get greeted and get their attention either. They are busy. But food kinda forgets everything you deal with here. In terms of taste, never had fish dish thats crunchy and savoury in my life it is that good. A little boney but hey its worth while getting the meat out of it. Very authentic Chinese food and lot of local traffic here.

Yelp
What a great spot! Grabbed an afternoon tea time special and stayed warm. I had a the baked beef with pepper cream sauce and it was glorious & unlike anything I'd ever had from a Chinese restaurant. Will definitely come back when I'm back in Calgary!

Yelp
This was the first HK style cafe I've been to in Canada and wow I've been to many in the States and this has got to be one of the top HK cafes outside of Asia I've eaten at. Portions are large, friendly staff, and the restaurant is clean. We ordered our favorites: Hainan chicken, borscht, cream mushroom soup, gailan with garlic, string beans, etc. Everything was delicious. I'd like to come back here if I ever visit Calgary again!

Yelp
It's always the low expectation for a restaurant that catch you by surprise. We found this Cafe on Google since it was 10 min walk from our hotel. Little do we know, this is an authentic Hong Kong style Cafe (my fav)! Not only was the food great, it's really inexpensive! The family style 3 entrees + large homemade soup is only $58 CAN, which is about $43 USD. I also like that the servers are honest and funny. We wanted to order the Chilean Seabass in clay pot dish. She told us upfront that it will be 20 min to cook but will serve the soup right away so we can enjoy while we wait. It was definitely worth the wait. It was steaming hot and the sauce was so good. We enjoyed it with sweet & sour pork and chicken cutlet with instant noodles. The drinks are really good too. They have the coffee/milk tea combo and my all time favorite - Ice tea with lemon. It's the way they make the tea. Brought back so many memories living in Hong Kong. Highly recommend! We are looking forward to coming back for another wonderful dinner before we head home.

Yelp
A visit to Calgary's Chinatown just isn't complete without a stop to Calgary Court. Great value for Cantonese cuisine in a modern and busy setting full of regulars and newcomers. The menu has all the bangers you'd expect from a good Chinese diner.

Yelp
Service and food delivery is quick. Good portions. Authentic Chinese. Simple menu choice for breakfast with variety of noodles, rice and meats. Would go again.

Yelp
There aren't many Hong Kong cafes around where we live so whenever we visit the area, we always make a stop. It was quite busy when we came in for lunch, but luckily didn't have to wait for a seat. They provided large cups of hot teas, which we sipped on while combing through the large menu and narrowing down what we wanted to eat: - Borscht soup with garlic bread: The soup was okay, not really my favorite. It was a little too sweet but also kind of spicy. The garlic bread was absolutely delicious- really fluffy and so much yummy garlic butter! - Assorted beef tripe noodles in soup: My dad really enjoyed this dish because he doesn't get to eat beef tripe that often. There was a lot of assorted tripe - Beef flank noodles in clear soup: My brother wanted something a bit lighter for lunch and wanted a clear noodle soup. This was the perfect dish and the beef was very tender - Shrimp dumpling and noodles in in soup: This tastes very similar to wonton noodles... but bigger. Even though it says shrimp dumpling, the wrapping is more similar to wontons that dumplings. However they were huge and had so much shrimp, I really enjoyed it! Always a good experience dining here!

Yelp
The best Cantonese food , we ordered the chicken with Sichuan sauce We enjoy the restaurant so much that we came back twice

Yelp
Great menu of tasty dishes with something for everyone. Bright clean seating area. Service is fast and very accommodating. Always a good choice.

Yelp
Taste beyond expectations. The only thing is the Hai nan chicken dish chicken portion was a bit small and the rice is under cooked.
google avatar

Yelp
The food was so good I had the chief special and it comes with so much food. It's worth the price. They had the food out really fast and the service was outstanding. It is busy because it's very popular so it is a little loud. I hope everyone is able to check this place out

Yelp
When you see many locals going there for food, you know this restaurant serves authentic Chinese food! Will definitely go back!

Yelp
After we left the Prince's island park, we realized chinatown is nearby so we decided to check it out, it was lunch time so we picked this place to have lunch. The Hainan Chicken fried rice is disappointing the quantity is so small, although the chicken was really tender, but the size is way too small. I understand that everything is expensive these days but I don't mind to pay bit more to get more food, 7 slices of chicken is really pathetic.

Yelp
Decided to come back here for lunch after previously dining here for dinner on two other occasions. The best way to describe this place is a bustling, loud Hong Kong style cafe that offers some western breakfast and lunch items such as one would find in San Francisco's Chinatown. Ordered the beef chow fun with bean sprouts which takes approximately 15 minutes to prepare. Service standards are typical for this type of restaurant catering to office workers nearby along with locals. The guy next to me was watching a video from his iPhone with the volume cranked up. "Dude - can you say earbuds!" They have several different menus and Specials. Portion sizes have been more than adequate as I had previously ordered the Singapore vermicelli dish in the past and todays Chow Fun was no exception. 3.5 stars overall with my server being abrupt when I asked a question if they have sriracha sauce which is heavier in texture when jacking up the flavor to any Chinese fried noodle or won ton soup dish compared to the chili oil which is offered table side along with soy sauce and vinegar. Bathrooms are located in the basement in which you need to ask them for a code.

Yelp
On our way back from Banff, we drove through Calgary and were craving something Asian. We wanted to try a HK café and found Calgary Court Restaurant and ordered: -Baked Chicken and Ham with Spaghetti in Cream Sauce - a bit too cremey; would recommend tomato sauce next time -Baked Pork Chop with Rice in Tomato Sauce - would reorder! -Green Beans with Pork - interestingly had shrimp in it; the shrimp flavor was a bit overpowering but not in a bad way if you like shrimp The meal came with complimentary tea but I splurged on upgrading to Iced Honey Lemon Tea because it's a HK cafe staple. The restaurant was clean and had ample indoor (only) seating for small to large (up to 6) people groups. Bathroom was by the entrance with a code lock. Since we came on a weekday during work hours there was street parking but any other time I would expect it to be difficult to find parking. I'll be back next time I'm in the area!

Yelp
Very nice Hong Kong style food! Will come again.咖喱牛腩和椰香饭,绝了!送的汤也很好喝!套餐十分优惠!不知道还要写什么,人少,只能order2个菜

Yelp
My friend introduced me to this place and showed me the ropes. Most items were from the tea time selection. 1) homemade tea - hof and cold. Both delish. . 2) shrimp wonton soup - sooo good and comes with noodles, which was nee for me. . 3) Carbonara seafood noodles - good, but for those who don't like mixed seafood. . 4) sirloin platter with fries, veggies, and sweet spaghetti - random but so good. Loved the sauce. . 5) Beef fried ho fan -Chinese noodles - pretty standard and tastes as expected. . 6) fried toast with condensed milk. . Tea time is 2-5pm and comes with hot/cold drink. . Steal of a deal. Come with some friends to try something new!

Yelp
Great place for good Cantonese food in Calgary. We arrived at 6pm on a Saturday and it was quite busy. Walk-ins are welcomed, and reservations can be made as well. We were given several menus. The big menu had your giant list of dishes for a-la-carte orders, while several other menus had fixed price combos and individual portions order. This night, our group of four, ordered from the combo menu which include one main large dish, which we got the salt baked chicken, and two small dishes, the fried tofu with shrimp and peppers and the beef sautéed with onions and ginger. Every dish was well seasoned and done with care. We also ordered a large hot and sour soup to share. This soup wasn't your regular Chinese takeout soup, it was much better with fresh bamboo shoots! You really can tell the difference! Highly recommended!

Yelp
One of my favourite dishes at Calgary Court Restaurant is the Sliced Fishcake Noodle Soup ($10.50). I love this soup! Big portion and generous with unique ingredients like seaweed, flounder flakes, pickled vegetables and fresh rice flat noodles (ho fun). I like that the soup is served very hot. Nothing worse than a bowl of lukewarm noods. My other go to dish is the Hunan Tender Beef Curry and Rice. Very rich and flavourful curry. Comes with a complimentary Chinese broth soup - so good especially if you grew up with it. Servers are very nice and place is clean and sanitized. Social distancing protocols are strictly followed. Popular spot for takeout. Remember to call and pick up if you can to better support our local businesses.

Yelp
Pepper beef noodles! So good! Clean and had a new retro feel inside. Wandering around downtown Calgary and found Chinatown. So glad we stopped!

Yelp
Craving canto food for a week already, having finally arrived in Calgary, we picked out this restaurant. The menu was very diverse, from typical HK style cafe options to dishes + rice combos. We ordered two dishes + rice combos along with a dish of veggies - side note, if you're ever on a long road trip, you need as much fibre as you can get. The staff were wonderfully polite. We enjoyed the cream soup that came with the combos.

Yelp
My aunt and I originally wanted to go to the restaurant next door but they were closed between lunch and dinner. We came during afternoon tea (starting at 2:30 pm) and ordered from that menu. We were seated quickly but it seems as though the wait staff forgot about since since it was kinda busy. We flagged down a waitress for menus and drinks. The food came fairly quick. It's like we just ordered and next thing we knew the noodles and fish balls arrived. It came in a large bowl but a good amount of noddles. It would've been better if there were a couple more fish balls. My pork chop in a pineapple bun arrived a bit after the noodles. The poor bun was squished so bad in order to cut it in half. You could see the finger indents. It looked like a hamburger with a pineapple bun instead of a regular bun complete with lettuce and tomato; not what I was expecting. In terms of taste, the pork chop tasted good. The sweetness of the pineapple bun paired with the saltiness of the pork was a bit strange for me. Overall, it was a good in between meal at an okay price point.

Yelp
Fantastic meal I can't wait to repeat. I don't know what to say except it was a terrific meal. I went with my son and when we walked in you felt like you were in some other place than downtown Chinatown Calgary. The place was bright and lively and there were numerous wait staff moving efficiently all over the place. We were handed 5 menus consisting of desserts, drinks, specials, dinner menu, specials. We ordered classics consisting of shrimp dumplings in noodle soup, pork and black egg congee and seafood on hot plate. The congee came bubbling hot, like lava. The hot plate came sizzling. The dumplings in the noodle soup were simply enormous and more than a single bite, super delicious. The price was really fair too considering how good it was. My only complaint was that it took forever to get parking in that area. Also, as we were eating the Restauraunt was filling up with a line up which made me uncomfortable eating slowly. Wolf it down and get the heck out. I didn't penalize them for any of these things as it's beyond their control.

Yelp
This is a typical HK style cafe featuring dishes such as noodle soups, pineapple buns, milk tea, fried noodles and more. Our party mostly ordered the noodle soup breakfast that cost around $8 for a bowl of noodles, vegetables, choice of meat, garlic toast and a drink. My noodles were just okay tastings. The soup base was very bland and I had to rely heavily on the hot sauce for flavour. I also felt like the noodle portion was very small so I felt really hungry after eating it. My dad ordered their hot pot rice for around $8 as well and that was a super small portion as well. Service is what you expect from a chinese restaurant. A little hectic, a little non existent. If you are looking for cheap decent HK style food that opens early and until really late, stop by Calgary Court.

Yelp
I've only gone to Calgary Court for late night eats/cravings so I can't comment on how it is during normal hours. It's always packed on weekends as it's only one of a few places that stay open late (1:00am Friday and Saturday). I didn't realize it was part of the Taste of Asia group until we were given a takeout bag (they own T.Pot and several other Asian restaurants in town). They've got multiple menus to choose from but you can only order from some of them depending on what time it is. My advice is stick with the HK and Chinese options. We saw several tables ordering HK cafe food (such as the baked rice/spaghetti dishes). - Vietnamese lemon grass beef fried clear noodles (#38i) ($12.99) - not good. I'm not even sure how this is a Vietnamese dish. Noodles did not have a good chew and taste was mundane. A sad, sad dish. Don't make our mistake, get something else. - Singapore style fried vermicelli (spicy) (#25i) ($13.50) - we've ordered this multiple times and it's been solid every time (except once when they put way too much spice powder). Most recent trip was back to normal. Comes with onions, sliced carrots, bean sprouts and shrimp. - Stir-fried gai lan with garlic (#16h) ($12.95) - really garlicky and the gai lan is perfectly cooked. Perfect if you're craving some vegetables. It's decent.

Yelp
Hong Kong style fusion cafés are my comfort food. As someone from Southern California, I grew up on this style of food combining quick, simple, but flavorful Chinese dishes with more "western" ingredients and techniques. These cafes are become rarer in SoCal, so I was glad to find Calgary Court during our recent trip to Canada. I love the variety of what you can order. Anything from chow fun to pork chop rice, you can find it. The portions are huge and the prices are reasonable; both very important things to me. We ordered the fried beef chow mein. The thin egg noodles were deep fried well, allowing the gravy to soften them up. We also ordered fish with cream corn sauce over rice, which was also really good. One unique thing (at least to me) is the availability of the "street cart" soup noodle. There is an option to order soup noodles that you can customize with broth type, noodles, and toppings.

Yelp
Love the breakfast lunch and dinner here. This restaurant seem like never sleep. They start at 8 am in the morning till late night. We were here lunch and breakfast. The breakfast is Hong Kong Style morning call. We actually selected the Southeast Asia cuisine in the lunch time. We have the charsiew (BBQ) pork rice, hainanese chicken and the Traditional Hong Kong Style Spicy Noodle Soup. The rice dice come with soup of your choice and dessert. Not bad at all. The bbq was good marinate. It is juicy and great taste. The hainanese chicken may need some more work. However, the star is the traditional noodle. It has fish ball, pork skin, squids, Chinese sausage, turnip, and pig jelly. Yummy. This cannot be found in Tampa Florida. The lunch is certainly a big meal. The service is good. We love the food here.

Yelp
Friday off today and I went to Calgary Court for brekkie! HK style breakfast has a lot of option and this place has a lot of option and mostly all under $7. Usually we go to Sun Bbq for HK style breakfast but it was not open for some reason. However, I do know Calgary Court and Sun BBQ are under the same manager and another restaurant in the north (correct if i am wrong Yelpers). Today, i ordered their special congee (peanuts & dry scallop), with soy sauce fried noodle, and hot milk tea. Food came out hot and satisfying. Service today was pretty good as it was not too busy. Their soup noodles are good as well! For a quick and cheap breakfast and you are by Chinatown, I recommend Calgary Court!

Yelp
Surprisingly good HK style western food in the heart of Calgary. Late hours, and good food were the highlights. The portuguese chicken rice and the tomato sauce pork chop on rice were both very good. The tomato sauce was thick and creamy and mixed well with the cheese and rice. The portion sizes were large and we took some home for another meal. It took some time for the food to come out, but it's understandable since these were all baked dishes (and they told us in advance too). There's lots of street parking nearby, but it might be hard depending on how busy it is. They were very busy, even at midnight. They gave us a bunch of menus, including ones that didn't apply for the time that we showed up at (why bother giving it to us at all!?). Overall, we enjoyed eating here, and found it pretty good even by Toronto standards.

Yelp
Dinner with my beloved family. Happy to gather here and enjoy warm atmosphere while outside is crazy cold. Chicken hot pot was wonderful. Udon was very tasty. I strongly recommend fried rice to you. It was my children favourite. They always order it every time coming here.

Yelp
Review: Lunch and dinner. I grew up eating food in Hong Kong, and I've got to say the Calgary Court restaurant sure reminds me about my childhood. Its nice that there is a place in town that I can reminisce about my time in HK. Atmosphere: I am never a fan of dining in Chinatown during lunch simply because of the ridiculous parking fees Calgary has. I would frequent Calgary Court more often if the location was better. Having said that, the restaurant sure has a Hong Kong cafe style to it, from the bustling waitresses to the tea stained plastic cups they serve with tea. Food: We frequent this restaurant often. Its authenticity is on point, but the food is a bit off. Sometimes the dishes were a bit salty, or sometimes it's overcooked. Overall though, Our favorite is the Portuguese baked rice with chicken. The presentation, cook and taste reminds me of the staple cafes back in Hong Kong. The dish may not be cater to everyone, but it sure hit the spot for us. Value: A tad bit expensive for cafe food. Portions used to be better. Other Chinese cafes in town serves better portions at the same price. Encore? Definitely. This is our go to spot if we are craving some HK style cafe food.

Yelp
This is definitely one of my favourite spots for Chinese food in Calgary! My girlfriend and I had the hainanese chicken dish along with the chicken and fish baked dish with portgegeus sauce and cream sauce. The food came fairly quick and it was quite enjoyable. I'll definitely return for some more whenever I'm in the calgary area!

Yelp
Food: hell yes. I haven't been to a legit HK style cafe in forever. Unfortunately it is pretty shameful here in San Francisco... don't even get me started. Half the restaurants are stuck in the tourist trap in Chinatown and I have not been to one single excellent HK style cafe. So this was such a treat. Food was great and good portion. The pineapple bun with butter. Yum. Overall excellent. The milk tea was strong. Not like the shit you get at boba places. Thank god. Place: clean and comfy. Bright. Bathroom is very clean. Tons of people were there so it's popular even though the street was practically empty. Waitresses were nice. If I'm ever in Calgary again. I'm there!

Yelp
We are big fans of Calgary Court. Having lived in Calgary a long time ago, I'm sure I'd been here a handful of times (or maybe the restaurant before this), but had always taken for granted the convenience and the value of having a good HK-style cafe in Chinatown. Living in Ottawa now, I realize that we don't even have something like this that compares. What we like: - decent HK-style dishes at great value (especially tea time offerings!) - good portions, at least of the chef's special (which comes with soup, toast and drink for 12$!) - some reviews say spotty service, but our food came really fast even if the restaurant was 3/4 full at 2PM - strong HK-style milk tea - lots of seating / generous amt of space - open long hours / late During our quick late lunch there, we personally don't have any complaints. Parking is a little expensive in the area, but that's downtown for you. Very satisfying mid-meal for 20$ (for two people)! Love it!
google avatar

Bernice L.

Yelp
I love this HK style cafe. It's one of the few places in Calgary that serve HK style breakfasts in the morning and it's great value. I bring my kids here often and it's very kid-friendly with lots of high chairs and friendly staff. I love the fried rice and fried noodle dishes. I always order take out often and it's always been fresh and fast. Parking is a bit of a pain as it's only street parking around and spots are always taken!
google avatar

Daisy L.

Yelp
Service: typical asian way. Highly efficient -- you flag a waiter/waitress down and tell you what you need. Food comes within 10 minutes. Food: very authentic and comes in large portion. Well worth the price. Easy street parking.

Yelp
We find this restaurant following Yelp review, and it gives me lots of surprise. We order two sets of dinners, one curry fish filletand one Hainan style chicken. Both are very delicious and the quantities and prices are quite fair. It is much better than most of Chinese restaurants in Montreal I ever visit.

Yelp
This was a pleasant find in Calgary. After spending 3 weeks in Asia, I didn't have much hope for Chinese comfort food, but this place didn't disappoint. It's basically your Cantonese cafe food. Since our hours and timing was off, we ended up arriving in time for afternoon tea hours. Worked out well and we were all happily satisfied. Prices are decent if not better than compared to what we get in California. At the time they ran out of shrimp, so no wonton. They were able to give us fish balls and fish cake. The baked pasta was pretty good, as was the stir fried udon.

Yelp
#114 It's 10:45pm on a Friday night. You're hungry. You don't want a burger or pub food or any fast food (sorry Denny's, McDonald's, Tim Hortons, Wendy's but I just played volleyball for 2 hours and I need sustenance without sickness). Options.. options... telephones.. telephones.. why do hotels always hide their telephones (in my best Bugs Bunny voice, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transylvania_6-5000_%281963_film%29 for a description of where this quote comes from and why)? See, this is what happens when you are hungry after a long workout! Anyway, my friend suggested a trip to Calgary's Chinatown. Those who know me know I am very picky when it comes to Chinese food since one of my Vancouver friends (when I visit) takes me to Richmond to the best Chinese places outside of China. As we parked, we walked 2 blocks to the Calgary Court Restaurant (which apparently open to midnight on Friday and Saturday nights). Court is now in session with the honourable judge James at your service. We were acknowledged immediately and got to choose our own table and we got one a few feet from the window but in view of an either 26", 27", or 32" TV (hard to tell but I can see the Chinese program that is apparently Vancouver-based as all the commercials were for Vancouver and I recognized some of the businesses) across the restaurant. I think the TV should be replaced with a 42" personally. The waitress seem sort of timid or maybe nervous but she was courteous and prompt to bring hot tea (which normally I do not drink but it was -26°C which is -15°F (for my American friends and relatives) so a hot drink was just what the doctor ordered). She made a few menu recommendations as apparently they have a regular menu available all day and a 1 page front/back of specials that time of day dependent. I almost got the spicy Szechuan chicken (on the 1 page front/back menu) as a group of people 3 tables had that and it looked good but it was comfort food weather so I got the House Special Fried Rice for $11.95. I expected not so fresh vegetables, rice, etc. However, I was proven wrong and then some. It was what looked like an average size plate but by the halfway point, I was almost full. The rice tasted so good (though I would like to have a spicier blend but I am willing to bet that on my next trip, I can ask for that), the vegetables included peas, carrots, and some kind of green shoots (all which tasted good and enhanced the flavour of the rice), and tiny shrimp and I believe either beef or sausage as well. By the way, I put some of the creme soup (mentioned in the next paragraph) on the House Special Fried Rice (yet another good idea by yours truly). My friend got a dish (I don't remember the name but I just remember the portion was huge and tasty) for $17.95 that had a bowl of rice (separate) with pork chops, beef, chicken, Chinese sausage, french fries (which I thought was odd but they were good), and a bowl of some type of creme soup (which I sampled and it was delicious!!!!). He also got an iced tea (and him being Canadian/Calgarian-born Chinese and me being American, you'd thought I would have gotten the iced tea since Americans more often than not get drinks with ice in them). From what other reviews have stated, this place was affected by the flood so I do not know what it looked like before but now the interior is very clean, ample table space, well-lit, and can have lots of people with their own conversations without intruding on the one at your table. I did notice there were very few white people (two to be exact) in the restaurant. As a white person, if I see very few Asians in an Asian restaurant, I will not eat in said restaurant because this tells me it's not very authentic or very good. Again, reading other reviews regarding the service, my personal experience was very positive so much so that I will be heading back again this week. The Court has adjourned and the judge has left the building. Note: if you are a Shaw wifi subscriber and have entered the MAC address of your device, the wifi is free.

Breakfast is very reasonable. It used to be a secret; it's now packed by 9:30am on the weekends. The fried noodles, dumping soup and wonton soup are always my favourite. The baked rice with pork chops and tomato sauce is also very tasty.

Yelp
This place is still delicious. Deserves a 5* (On my earlier review I had only given it a 4*)

Yelp
Revisited Calgary Court after 5 years...thought I'd give it a try. Service has certainly improved and the wait staff can speak English, so that's good! Food wise: not too bad, Fish Slices Congee was cooked from scratch and it arrived nice and hot. Not too salty. just nice. Also ordered the Beef Rice Noodle dish - quite good. HK Milk Tea complimented my meal. Bathrooms are downstairs in the basement - at least, they are clean.

Yelp
I like Calgary Court Restaurant. Best Milk Tea in town (HK style). But the food are not as good as before (before renovation). Plus the portion is smaller and charge more. Service is okay, but yesterday(Sunday) was really good even it was super busy. They apologized for the long line up (waiting for a table) and always talked to us how they would arrange us. And tried to understand what I would like to order and gave recommendation! I wanna tip more, but people always say the tips do not go to the staffs. So I asked the manager (i guess she's the manager), she said the tips go to them and does not understand why customers keep saying the opposite, haha ......

Yelp
Food: our go-to place for late night grub...substantial portions, NOT Western style Chinese. Our favorites are the beef ho fan noodles, and the beef and Chinese greens soup. The dinner specials are also a good deal (changing every night of the week: includes salad, soup, toast, tea and main course for about $10-11). BUT, make sure to get the delicious mushroom soup rather than the Chinese soup (a dreadful watery cross between Scotch broth and plain boiled gourds). Service: hit and miss. Dishes come out as each is ready. Tea is usually refilled quickly. Go to the counter to pay, because they are unlikely to bring your bill within the calendar year.

Yelp
Great service and great food . Stumbled upon this place looking for dinner so we decided to stop in . Traveling with our two year old so we were looking for something that was just a little kid friendly . The staff was extremely accommodating to start off our dinner . The restaurant was very well kept and neat . The food was fresh and really tasty . Reasonably priced and a really good selection of food .

Yelp
They've renovated and reopened now after the flood. New decor! Come check it out while its still sparkling and shiny :) phew! Thank goodness the basement was reno'd too! Was toooo scary down there before. So.... Food seems to be the same. Service is still the same shotty service (haha - disgruntled staff who seem to always be in a rush and never at your table.... And now mandarin speaking staff makes it difficult for me to order in my broken Cantonese :P lol!! But....still opened late. Baked pork chop rice is popular.

Yelp
Pretty big portions of the Pork Chop baked rice! Pork chops fried fresh and lightly, not too greasy. The only complaints I have: - The rice under the baked sauce and pork chop was luke-warm, like it sat there. Didn't bother heating it back up unfortunately. I know this stuff is prepped in advance but yea... - Really slow service, although they weren't rude or anything at least. Overall, good value, good authentic HK chinese style of food - Can't complain!
