Possibly the best sky tower I've been in. It wasn't massive, but it was clean, tidy and you could see everything! A must see for sunset and dinner too 🥰 Also, they did not make me feel awkward for being a solo diner, which some places have done. They were more than accommodative and super friendly as well! 💞

Google
Visiting Calgary Tower is a must for anyone coming to Calgary! The ride to the top is an amazing experience — the panoramic view of the city and the mountains on the horizon is truly breathtaking. Standing on the glass floor is especially thrilling — it takes your breath away, but it’s absolutely worth it! The staff are friendly and welcoming, and everything is well organized and efficient. The restaurant at the top has a great atmosphere and a view you just can’t look away from. A fantastic place to feel the scale of Calgary and take stunning photos. Highly recommended!

Google
Wow stunning views. And going at sunset is highly recommended! The mountains are a perfect with the sun setting behind them! Food was fantastic! It's so beautiful to see the lights of the city light up below! We went after a long day of travelling and sightseeing so we were casually dressed, but you can dress up super fancy too! It was great!

Google
I’d say this is a must see! Fantastic views and a revolving restaurant. There’s a glass floor you can take pictures on if you dare😈. There is a discount if you make reservations to the restaurant a half hour before. Ask about that. Took me about and hour to go around and read everything. There’s also a short video you can watch.

Google
My visit to the Calgary Tower during a day trip to Calgary was a memorable highlight, offering breathtaking 360-degree views of the city that truly showcased its charm. On a cloudless, sunny day, the conditions were ideal, revealing the distant Rocky Mountains and the urban expanse in stunning clarity. The observation deck, enriched with informative displays identifying key buildings, added an educational layer to the experience, making it both engaging and insightful. The ambiance was pleasant, and the tower stands as a notable tourist attraction in downtown Calgary, with a unique glass floor section that, while smaller than anticipated, provided a thrilling perspective. However, the experience was tempered by certain drawbacks. The tower, while iconic, shows signs of aging and is dwarfed by newer, taller skyscrapers, which slightly diminishes its grandeur The cost—approximately $75 for two, including parking and admission—a bit too steep. The viewing deck offers a decent panorama, but the surrounding skyline is less striking than expected. Overall, the Calgary Tower is well worth a visit for its unparalleled views and historical significance, particularly for first-time visitors to Calgary. Its combination of scenic beauty, informative displays, and cozy ambiance makes it a rewarding stop, best enjoyed on a clear day.

Viraj M.

Google
It was definitely worth going once! You get to see the city from a view point that’s quite amazing. However it is super important to figure out what time you should go there. I wouldn’t go again though because I do not think the ticket prices are worth multiple visits.

Kenneth G.

Google
The Calgary Tower turned out to be an excellent stop on our trip. Admission is roughly half the price of Toronto’s CN Tower, and since the Calgary Tower is about half the height, it feels like a perfect trade-off—great value without compromising the experience. We timed our visit for around sunset and it couldn’t have been better. The views of downtown Calgary, the Bow River, and the Rockies glowing in the evening light were absolutely stunning. From the glass floor to the 360-degree panorama, every angle offered something memorable. Overall, the Calgary Tower provides amazing scenery and a fair price point that makes it easy to recommend. If you can, plan your visit for sunset—you’ll catch the city at its most beautiful.

Google
Must see. Better to go half hour before sunset. Youll see city in a day light and then at night. Can take restorant there but you have to book it beforehand.

Yelp
One of the noteworthy landmarks to visit while in Calgary. While its simply a Tower building downtown, it presents an amazing view of Calgary. You are able to view the tall skyscrapers, the high peaks of the mountains and also some lakes. The observation deck with its clear glass presents an intimidating view of how high you really are. While simple in nature, it is still worth visiting if you are in the city.
google avatar

Yelp
Fantastic views of the city that are worth the stop. My only complaint was that they could reconfigure the room with video to make it a little more convenient for more than five people.

Yelp
The Calgary Tower is located in the heart of downtown. Our hotel is across the street and it was our landmark. It can't be missed at over 626 ft talk offering the best views in the city. The Observation Deck experience offers spectacular 360° views of the city, Rocky Mountains, foothills & prairies. Ruth Chris steakhouse is at the base of the Calgary Tower. Sky 360 is a revolving restaurant, it takes an hour for a full spin. It was built in 1968 ay the cost of 3.5 million. The Tower was designed to withstand the elements (climate, high winds, shock, etc.). Although Calgary is not an earthquake zone, this structure was the first in the Western provinces designed to withstand earthquakes. On a windy day the Tower sways up to 7.5 inches and can withstand winds up to 161 km/hr. It was originally named the Husky Tower. This was constructed as a joint venture between Marathon Realty & Husky Oil honoring Canada's centennial & promoting the downtown core as a part of a Calgary urban renewal program. Today the Tower is a major tourist destination and popular dining spot. Though it is has been eclipsed in size, the Tower is still a proud city icon. The Calgary Tower features an exterior LED light show each morning before sunrise & nightly from dusk to midnight. There are 132 lights that produce more than 16 1/2 million colors and effects. The LED light shows celebrate national holidays, cheer sports teams, support local festivals & raise awareness for important causes.

Yelp
Interesting however it isn't organized. Audio doesn't go with the numbers. Just read what you can.

Yelp
This is one of many monuments and towers I have visited including the San Antonio tower, St Louis arch, Washington Monument, Eiffel Tower, Sears Tower, Seattle Space Needle, and Empire State Building. It's a tower and it looks a lot like the San Antonio Tower. We learned on the bus tour that Calgary's Tower was built about a year before the one in San Antonio. And those sneaky Canadians under reported the height of their tower. So San Antonio said "hold my beer"and made their's a tiny bit taller. Well, the Canadians finally fessed up on the real height and it was taller than the one in San Antonio. So not everything is bigger in Texas. The ticket purchase and elevator are pretty fast. We visited on a Tuesday after Stampede, hoping it would be less crowded and it was. Great views of the city and the Rocky Mountains up here. I really enjoyed all the placards with history inside the tower. Lots of information on the various sides of rthe tower that explain the landmarks that you see. So cool to stand on the clear floor and see the city beneath my feet. We wanted to have a cocktail, but got here too early in the day.

Yelp
located in the heart of calgary ! not much tbh but it is a sight to see both in the morning and night time; a historical monument -- we stan her

Yelp
Well, I have been in the Seattle Space Needle, the Freedom Tower, the Washington Monument, Sky Gardens and now the Calgary Tower. The Calgary Tower was constructed in 1967 and completed in June 1968. The height is 626 feet. Since we had a little time to kill before heading to our destination we decided to check it out. The cost was $19 per person. We rode up the elevator to the observation deck and had a spectacular 360 degree view of the city of Calgary. You could see the Saddle Dome where they hold sports events, parts of the Olympic ski area from the 1988 games, the Bow River and a slight glimpse of the Canadian Rockies. I loved the glass floor where you could see all the way down to the street. If you have a fear of heights then probably not a good idea to stand here. There is a small gift shop fir those that would like a souvenir. We were up there for about an hour then we headed down and we were on our way. Overall it was an enjoyable experience and a great way to see the city. I would recommend stopping by and going up high!

Yelp
It is a must - see in a visitor's itinerary. The Calgary Tower offers 360* view of the city and the Rocky Mountains. For more information visit: https://www.calgarytower.com During my visit to Banff, this was not in our list. We just swing by to see if we can walk up. Lo and behold, we were able to purchase tickets. Buying online tickets is CAD$2 less. We gave our tickets to the receptionist for verification then let us ride the elevator up. Upon exiting the elevator, visitors and the view of the sky plus buildings greets you. We were so excited that we posed for pictures immediately. But when it is time to step on the glass - I got a faint of heart - the feeling came over me and I stopped. It took me awhile to brave my self and looked down. Haha It was a great experience. If you dine in at the restaurant, going up the Observation Deck is free. Restroom, Theater and infos are available. Souvenir shop downstairs.

Miles C.

Yelp
Four of us had dinner at the CT on June 5th. The view is wonderful and gives an excellent panorama of the city. The food and service were excellent. But the decor and furniture are in need of a total makeover and detract from the overall ambiance of the experience. A must for visitors.

Yelp
Such a fun experience from the tower! First time in Calgary and it was a cool view to see landmarks, which we later attended!

Chandler S.

Yelp
Easy process to go to the tower. Parking wasn't hard to find. Had to pay to park but kind of expected in a big city. Went to the viewing deck, and I'm scared of heights so my experience is a lot different than some. My kids loved it. Great history of how and why they built it. My kids loved the experience.

Yelp
Take in the views of the city and sprawling urban land at the city tower. Made my palms sweat a bit though beautiful day to see Calgary
google avatar

Jennifer F.

Yelp
The 360 views of the tower are nice, especially at night seeing all the building lights but other than that, there's not a lot to it. There's a lot of information along the walls of it's history but with us going at night, there was nothing illuminating the information so it was hard to see. Once you're on top, there's a second level but really it's just more info and the bathrooms. I feel like they can make it more of an experience as any building around can provide the same views.
google avatar

Eric B.

Yelp
Really enjoyed my visit to the tower. It gave you a great 360 degree view of the surrounding areas. Be sure to bring earbuds and log onto their WiFi so you can easily get their audio guide through your phone (free!). It is free if you eat at the restaurant (Sky360) and separate check-in line. If you pay for the access, it was $22 Canadian (I believe)/~$17 American when I went with the conversion. Appears to be cheaper if you purchase them online, $19. The prices were higher than I saw I the website. Don't be scared and take that great picture over the window balcony (my photo below). Make sure you go on a clear day.

Yelp
In our personal tour of Calgary we have to stop by the Calgary Tower as it stands hundreds of feet in the air and looks over the city. We parked at the parking structure right behind the tower, and were able to enter through the elevator to the entrance of the Calgary tower. When we arrive we took pictures and checked out the gift shop at the bottom floor and purchased our tickets as well. After purchasing our tickets for the right time we were able to go through the entrance get our tickets scanned and take the elevator all the way to the top. Once we got to the top we're able to have an amazing view of the city all around 360 of the tower. There is even a portion where you're able to stand on the glass that is transparent all the way to the ground and you can take pictures out there as well. Overall was a pretty good experience and got to see you very nice views on a very clear day. They had some other video showings and information we can go upstairs as well. You can stay up there as long as you'd like, so that was really cool as we got to take her time looking around and pointing out certain areas of the city that we were going to visit later on in the day. Overall highly recommended service in Calgary, it was a very cool experience.
google avatar

Hubert T.

Yelp
It may not be the tallest tower in the world anymore; but when you see this tower, you immediately identify the City of Calgary with it. This is easily the most iconic building in the entire city.
google avatar

Alice C.

Yelp
The tower is cool and you can the entire city from the observation deck. A small portion of the deck extends out with a glass floor, so you can see the ground from high above. This is pretty cool. Aside from the city view, there are some info about the tower and Calgary. There's a gift shop on the ground level and restuarants on the level below the deck. This tower is ok. I have been to other Sky 360 in other countries, but it seems like there's something missing for this tower. We also ate at Sky 360 restaurant. That was a good experience, except our server was rude and rushing us to order and finish it. As an overall experience, it worth going, but don't compare nor have high expectations.
google avatar

Cathiye M.

Yelp
Cute tourist thing to do the views are beautiful and I like that they had a space to take pictures. We had dinner so we had discount prices but honestly the tickets were pretty cheap considering. Like they're downstairs Shop bought some goodies for the road and highly recommend to visit it was probably the best thing we did in Alberta Calgary that wasn't a far drive or anything tons of restaurants around the area too.
google avatar

Lily H.

Yelp
Unless you have kids, this is a pass. We struggled to spend more than 10 minutes. The tower is amusingly shorter than many of the buildings around it, given the tower is much older. Therefore the views really aren't amazing. The area is also small so not much to do. Not worth the admission price.

Jack

Yelp
Beautiful view of the skyline in Calgary from up there. It would be much better if there's telescopes or higher observation platforms. (I asked the employee and she said that it used to have telescopes but they were shut down later)

Sheila M.

Yelp
My feed back is about the 'mall' at the base of the tower. There is no where to sit, and if you are mobility challenged (can not walk or stand for long periods of time) or simply tired,It does not mater if you are waiting for your group or can show a ticket, you are not welcome here. This is a problem because it is a meeting point for groups going up the tower, or to Vertigo Theatre (also located here). The escalators also always seem to be broken or closed off. For a tourist attraction, in a Country with an ageing population, this is very short sighted. You must stand, walk or leave. There is no wiggle room. No exceptions. Period.
google avatar

Denise W.

Yelp
Most or almost every city has something similar to the Calgary Tower (Vancouver has the Harbour Center, Seattle has the space Need, Toronto has the CNN Tower and etc.). So here in Calgary why would I not go up to the Calgary Tower to check up the beautiful view. So came here to check out the place. First off---- Great View I love the fact that they have an area where the floor is all glass and you can look down (small arae though). But it was fun for picture taking. It cost $18 to go up the elevator but its better deal to dine at the restaurant and it also covers admission to the observatory deck. Hitting 2 birds with one stone. The oberservation deck does not revolve but the restaurant does. Awesome! Highly recommend coming here. Its nice and clean at the observation deck.

Yelp
Before traveling to Canada I googled the 10 best things to do while in Canada and the Calgary tower was on the list and I knew we would be nearby. If you are afraid of heights in any way...this will not be a fun stop for you. I'm not afraid of heights and I was feeling a little pewney at the top of the tower. Lots of history allover the location and at the top of the tower. The Calgary tower was the tallest structure in the Northern hemisphere until 1983. There is a restaurant on top and I think it rotates. We were there early so, the restaurant was not open. 360° view walking around and a 7' to 8' section that you can see all the way to the street. Glad we went as it was a good experience.
google avatar

Elizabeth S.

Yelp
A tourist thing to-do when in Calgary. Kind of pricy - $44 for two adults. History/building process was cool to learn about. We went up at night - lots of lights/cool views. Not very crowded on a Sunday night. Gift shop closes earlier than tower.
google avatar

Yelp
On our visit to Calgary tower the day was clear and our views were amazing. We were able to see the rocky mountains and the great plains of Canada. Tickets are $18 for adults (13-64), $16 for seniors (65+), and $9 for children (4-12). WiFi here is free for one hour which is usually what it wakes to walk around the tower and take pictures. The glass floor area gets really crowded with everyone trying to take pictures, so go early in the morning to avoid the crowds. We found parking in the street free of charge 2 blocks from the tower. If you have been to other skyscrapers that are a lot taller than this one then it may not be as exciting. I was happy that we decided to go since I didnt find a whole lot to do in Calgary. I definitely recommend visiting if you're in Calgary and have the time for it.

Yelp
It is sad that the tower is closed due to the elevator incident in July but hopefully it will open soon. If you're in Calgary, this is one place that should definitely be on the list. While the tower has now been dwarfed by many taller buildings around, it still gives some amazing views, especially in the east where you can look all the way to the horizon and west where you can get a great sight of the amazing Rockies. We went on a weekday, which is probably the best time since there wasn't any rush. The base ticket is just around $18, with even less for seniors. If you look online you'll find deals that can get you around 20% discount as well. The guided tour (with headphones) is $4 extra but we didn't take it and I suppose it's not that necessary as well if you have the patience to read everything. On the top, besides the 360° view, you also have glass floors placed at certain places in which you can stand (if you don't get scared). The views are amazing. They also have 10-15 minutes free shows at regular intervals that take you to the journey of the tower's history which is definitely a watch to understand the tower's importance for Calgary. One level below the top, there is a restaurant in case someone wants to dine with a great view of Calgary downtown. We didn't go there though. The tower exits to a souvenir shop which is good to checkout. The staff, in all places, was great and helpful. Overall, this place should definitely be on your list.

Yelp
First of all, Calgary has a really cool downtown, I've been to Calgary before, but it was always the fly-in-spend the night at the airport hotel-visit customer-airport hotel-fly out in the morning situation...not exactly visiting Calgary...this time, we're here for a five day technical conference... Day Three, my colleague and I decide to ditch the conference for lunch and walked the one block from our hotel (Hyatt) to the Tower...we're glad we did... First of all, if you book a reservation at the Sky360 restaurant and have an entree, the lift is free and includes the observation deck. We didn't have reservations, and since it was 11:15 a.m. on a weekday, the nice young lady at the ticket counter just booked us a reservation for 11:30 a.m., printed the lift tickets and off we went... The ride up was unique, yes, the elevator is encased in the concrete column, but there are screens on either side that show a view outside as you climb as if you were looking out of a window...a short hop to the top, and we got off at the Observation Deck... There is a Plexiglas floor that one can walk out on and look down/take a picture of one's feet, but we both passed, nah, can't do it, but the view was spectacular on all sides even on a partly cloudy day...we walked around for a few minutes, then walked two flights down to the restaurant... The restaurant turns one rotation every 45 minutes for lunch, and one rotation per hour for dinner, but it's only the restaurant floor, so while we were waiting for our table to be prepared in the little lobby, we laughed about the restaurant moving past the doorway... Once seated, it is a really cool experience, watching the city go by 155 meters below (~504 ft), looking off into the distance, over the river and the Stampede grounds, then off into the Canadian Rockies, one is not lacking for entertainment, both of us were pointing things out, my colleague is also a good friend, so we had a great time... On to the food, OK, it is bit pricey, but remember, our $18.50 lift ticket per person was waived with a reservation, so taking that into account, it wasn't too bad...we both opted for the Express menu which is a three course meal designed to get you out in 45 minutes, which at $38, was a decent value given the lift ticket...we also assured the waitress we were not in a hurry to get back to discussions of passive discharges in large rotating machines, so we didn't want to be out of there in 45 minutes... I opted for the French onion soup (an up-charge), my colleague the garden salad for the first course...the soup was very tasty, a very large portion, but heavy on the broth and light on the cheese and bread...and it was freaking incredibly hot, OK, I know a common complaint is food being lukewarm, but this was uncomfortably-wait-10-minutes-before-I- could-eat-it-hot...so I only finished half...still good, but impalpable for a while... We both chose the crispy chicken sandwich which turned out to be a good choice - the roll was soft and fresh, the chicken crispy and tender, not greasy or overdone whatsoever, and the veggies were fresh and tasty... For desert, one can chose the gelato of the day or vanilla ice cream, the flavor today was Canadian maple sugar gelato, score, it was very tasty, I had to stop eating as it was too much...but tasty... Finally, the staff, our waitress could not be more attentive, nice and helpful, granted, we went at a time they had just opened for lunch, but she would point out buildings we asked about, pointed out the area where she lived, and pointed out the Olympic ski jump off in the distance...Calgary is a genuinely friendly town - she and the other staff were no exception as they were great... My suggestion is to go at an off-peak time if you can, I am sure it fills up at night and on the weekends, but if you are going to spend some time in Calgary, make sure to go to the Tower for a meal, yes, it's not fine dining, but it's an experience you will enjoy...

Yelp
The distinctive Calgary Tower is a 600+ foot free standing observation tower in Centre of Downtown. It was originally called the Husky Tower and was conceived as part of an urban renewal plan and to celebrate Canada's centennial of 1967. It opened to the public on June 30, 1968 as the tallest structure in Calgary, and the tallest in Canada outside of the CN Tower in Toronto. Like it's Ontario Doppelganger, there's a glass floor extension on the north side of the tower's observation deck so you can look straight down on the streets below (in this case on 9th Avenue South and Centre Street). There's also a rotating restaurant above and a Calgary Tourism Office (and souvenir) below. $17 will get you to the top for a view and for a better price I'd recommend taking a 1.5 hour drive over to Banff.
google avatar

Dan R.

Yelp
Yes the view is amazing, The glass bottom floor is fabulous. But the $17 admission cost seems a tad pricey. Maybe they could include some sort of tour or film or live presentation? To pay $17 just to ride up in an escalator and walk around an observation deck seems rather a poor value.
google avatar

Tammy H.

Yelp
This is a MUST see and do when visiting Calgary! LOVED IT !!! The views are amazing. The Self-serve audio guide is great and very interactive. The glass floor is fun. Go at sunset, the view of lights is very pretty and the tower itself is lit up!

Cathena C.

Yelp
This restaurant is way over priced for the quality of food. All of our dishes were served lukewarm to cold. We're talking cold chicken and cold broccoli. I ordered cauliflower steak and it was cold. The scallops and trout were lukewarm. Our waitress was nice and of course the view is amazing. I suggest taking the observation tour and eating somewhere else.

Yelp
Personally, not a fan of heights but since we were here-- I might as well. We parked in the streets and paid at the parking stall for the stub. We walked across the street and walked into their shopping store to get our tickets, kinda expensive at $18ish per adult. We went on a Monday so it wasn't that busy. Maybe about 5-8 people up there when we went up. It has a 360 degree view of Calgary, I can see it being beautiful at night overseeing the city lights. They also had a section where the floor was clear so you can take cool down shot photos (albeit the floor part was pretty scratched so the down view feet photos aren't 100% clear/pretty). They also provide audio tours, but we opted out since we were mostly there for the view. The tower also has a restaurant/lounge at the top floor as well (great place for a date I'd say). It wasn't as big as I thought, took my about 10 minutes to walk around (wasn't much of a view to take photos of stuff). We spent about maybe an hour tops before we headed down and bought some maple cream cookies as souvenirs. It was cool (with the history tidbits) and a decent view, but personally just a one time gig for me though (I was so nauseated at the end from the height LOL).

Yelp
Even thought it is no longer the tallest building in the city of Calgary, I still like going here. There are a million different things I can take my family to when they come in from out of town. The Calgary Tower used to be the biggest attraction and no longer is because its not the tallest building but it is the oldest and most iconic. I will take my family here anyway. You still get great views and for a great price. I especially love that you can go here and they stay open late during stampede so you can watch the fireworks :)

Yelp
On 3 January 2023 at Calgary tower Sky 360 restaurant, me and my friend along with my service dog entered this establishment with a reservation for two at 8pm. The hostess brought her manager out to have him ask if my dog was a service dog. I said my dog is a service dog to the manager. He wanted to see documents proving so. I showed him the brass service dog tag California issues revealing service dog. He then said that is not good enough. I then showed him medical documentation from the US department of veterans affairs revealing service dog. He said that was still not good enough. I then told him to call the police department phone number on the brass service dog tag and ask the police to confirm his ID on the tag is service dog. He picked up the phone, called for a few seconds, and said he could not reach anyone to verify he is a service dog. After having gone through all that verification, which was more than enough, I peacefully walked away because it was clear I was being stonewalled and discriminated for being disabled. If you have a disability, I strongly recommend for you to steer clear from this restaurant. I didn't get served because I'm disabled. I wish I got the manager's name, he was grossly obese, unkept, and his clothing did not fit him, that's the best way to describe him. All veterans whether it be Canadian or US veterans, this could have been you.

Yelp
I had not enough time to stay in Calgary,so my first thing on my list was to see Calgary Tower. The ticket is $18,a kind of pricey, but worth it.You can get an audio guide which was very helpful. Many people but not overcrowded. As you walk onto the glass floor it's scary. It takes your breath away for the first minute.Like you fall down but it's cool.Spectacular views! And audio tour is a plus. You can find a place of interest on the monitor and click on it and listen to the history. So great views of the city and self guiding tour- two in one. Top place to see!

Yelp
November Challenge - 20/30 Can't believe how long I've lived here without managing to get to the Calgary Tower. But I'm glad I was finally able to experience it! I could spend all day staring at the view of the entire city from here. It's amazing. Minus one star only because I felt like all there was, was the view and gift shops. No obvious plaques on how old the Tower is, when it was built, who built it, the history. I love reading stuff like that and knowing factoids like that, so not being able to find one bummed me out a little. Also, I wish they had change machines around, so that I could've gotten a few coins and used one of the telescopes to get a better view. But hey, you can get a pepper mill shaped like the tower here! And I loved walking across and laying on the glass ceiling. Will have to try the Sky 360 restaurant, someday!
google avatar

Lesli K.

Yelp
A mere 626 feet, the Calgary Tower used to be the tallest structure downtown, but now it looks like a little kid on a basketball court! It's still a neat adventure to go up the elevator to the glass bottomed observation deck (525 feet above the street). You can walk around the whole perimeter of the Calgary Tower to view Calgary from all angles. If it's really windy, the Tower might sway back and forth up to 7.5 inches and can withstand winds up to 161 km/hr, after that I don't know what happens..

Yelp
This was a very rewarding experience for us. We had a friend visiting from Toronto and it was my boys first time up the Calgary Tower. We enjoyed an amazing g lunch at the sky 360 restaurant and the boys loved the view from the observation deck. My only complaint would be that the fire alarm Was going off for quite some time and it seemed to be false because they still let us in the elevator. Perhaps they could've announced that it was a practice alarm or a false alarm.

Yelp
Look up way up and I'll call Rusty. If you are in your 30s or 40s you may recall this phrase from a popular CBC TV show called "The Friendly Giant". As a child I was an avid fan of the show as I was of the Calgary Tower. But as an adult, it has become just another tower. It is a very expensive, very quick trip upwards to a 360 degree view of our fair city and The Rocky Mountains. Buts once you are up there, there really isn't much else to do. I think we shouldn't have to pay for the use of telescopes considering we just paid $18.15 to ride an uneventful trip up. $18.15 folks ! So crazy! Maybe it would be worth it if you had the dough to pay the exuberant prices for the revolving restaurant upstairs, of even if the elevator itself had a glass door. But nope! The only interesting element of the upper tower is a glass floor about 2 metres by 1 meter wide, that could use a changing as all the scratches eliminate any freefalling illusion that it should give away. Calgary Towers needs to some sort of spicing up on its city landmarks, to reiterate what I wrote about the Calgary Stampede, to keep up with modern times and to appeal to those of us that have visited these attractions when we were children. My opinion is the CT most appeal is from the viewing it from the sidewalk below. So Folks just look up! Look way up!

Yelp
I'm sure everyone else here can tell you about the history of the Calgary tower, or anything like that, but I came here as part of our vacation in Canada. We went on a rainy day, so the view wasn't great, but I loved the glass flooring. My dad was freaking out and my brother didn't necessarily want to take a picture there. It was great to see down and across. I will admit, as much as I was a tourist, I disliked some of the tourists there, I understand noise and being loud, but damn, some people just need to be quieter. I wish they had guided tours though, telling me what I'm looking at. I know they had tours every so often, but I guess I wish it was more often, or had some sort of map when we walked in to tell us what to look for and what we were looking at.

Yelp
At first we were taken aback by the price for this attraction but once we saw that there was a tablet based audio guide with the admission we changed our minds. We've been up in plenty of towers/ tall buildings with views but the combination with the history/geography/sports lessons from the narration really brought the city alive. We learned a ton through this tool. Very well done despite some technical difficulties with both our tablet units. August 2014

Yelp
Make sure you head up on a sunny and clear day. The views of the mountains were spectacular. Pick up an audio guide (it's free) to get information about the city as you make your way around the tower.

Yelp
I am a tourist in this beautiful city and when I went to the tower it really made my trip. When you're at the top you can go to a show about how it was built. I loved it! 10/10

Yelp
Great views of Calgary and the surrounding areas, especially on clear days. You can see for miles and miles because most of the Calgary landscape is very flat. If you arrive in the evening, you'll want to stick around for the fab sunset if you can wait that long. Enjoy the glass floor area. Similar to the Step Out Ledge at the Willis Tower in Chicago (formerly known as the Sears Tower), you can walk out onto a shelf where the only thing between you and the street below is a thin piece of glass and 525 feet of air. It takes a little courage to do it, but it's an awesome picture! Souvenirs (of course) at the top and at the bottom. Priced reasonably. Looking at the history of Calgary, it's sort of sad that this is no longer the tallest building in the city. Bummer.

Yelp
I would say this is a must visit when in Calgary. It's a little pricey ($18 per person) but the views are amazing. Yes some buildings are taller but you can still see the river and get a good city view so it's well worth it in my opinion. It was smoky when I was in Calgary so my view was a little hazy but I still enjoyed myself.

Yelp
Why does every city have a tower? Moreover, why does every city have a tower with a revolving restaurant and an observation deck? The Calgary Tower marks the 3rd tower that I have been up in the last 6 months. The Calgary tower - Check. The CN tower in Toronto - Check. The John Hancock tower in Chicago - Check. Obviously, the Calgary tower is the shortest of the three, but the premise of it is pretty much the same. Go up the tower, have a drink in the restaurant, enjoy the sights on the observation deck, take the elevator back down. My favourite restaurant of the three was the one in the John Hancock tower. Similarly, my favourite view of the three was also the one from the John Hancock tower. Of the three towers I've enjoyed, Calgary comes in at A-OK. It's not the best, but it's not the worst. It does the job, the food is decent and the view is nice. It's worth doing once this lifetime and then you're set until next time.

Yelp
I visited the Tower at night. The outside looked run down, General adult admission was 18.50$. I found this a waste because the windows were not anti- glare so your could not take good pictures at nighy without seeing the inside building reflection. The sky walk section was cool. The upper deck was under renovation. There were headphones available for touring the tower. I don't opt for it- finished the tour in 15 mins. I enjoyed the gift shop. For tourists- save your money and opt for a bus tour instead - not much to see from above!

Yelp
A touch pricey for an experience unlikely to last more than 30-minutes, aside from those interested in the included audio-tour discussing its construction, Calgary Tower provides beautiful panoramic views of the city and Canadian Rockies with a small gift-store full of City and Providence-specific goods available in the gift-shop at its base.

Yelp
Went up on a clear sunny day and it was so worth it on our trip here! The views were beautiful and you could see the Rockies! I loved the glass floor! It gave an added touch to the experience and made for some really cool pictures. The admission comes with an audio guide which I thought was nice. For my first visit to Calgary, I LOVED it and would recommend to visitors.
