Cali Burrito

Not bad! The size for price wasn't bad and the taste was pretty good! To bad there isn't one closer to me! I'd definitely frequent more often! Thanks guys for a quick bite before we head out of Lawton.

Hole in the wall spot. I actually drove by it the first time. Great spot. The ingredients were fresh and the food was great. Doesn't look like much on the outside or inside, but do not let that deter you from enjoying good food. You get a lot of food at a good price. Highly recommended.

I was in town for a few days and seeing the reviews, decided to try this place out. It did not disappoint! I ordered the grilled steak burrito and you can see from the picture, it was stuffed full. I also ordered 1 chorizo taco and that too was stuffed with meat and toppings. Both were very good. I don't know if I will ever be in Lawton again, but if I am, I will be coming back.

Authentic Mexican food for sure! Haven't been able to find a LEGIT authentic eatery since we moved to Lawton two years ago! This is a must try spot for everyone

Nice quiet out of the way place, fast service. A great selection of stuff on the menu. The staff was very friendly , and the food was great. A large portion for a decent price.

My brother in law was right, these are the best burritos in town! I'm glad I finally got to try one! The carnitas can't be beat!

After driving for 12 hours heading to Texas from Colorado, we need a quick break for something to help get us the 2 hours home and Cali Burrito did NOT disappoint!! Super friendly (even had the guy making our taco serenade us). The food was delish!! Just what we wanted/needed!! Thank you for helping us get the energy we needed!!

The good, the burritos are of a decent size, the bad, they have an "ok" taste, not really good but not bad by any means. Would like to have some "wow" to it, maybe next time.

Best taco salad ever! I've been wanting a taco salad and it has been awhile since we've been to Cali Burrito What was I thinking. Every bite of my shrimp taco salad is crispy with a spicy green salsa--not hot--but it adds so much depth. You have got to try the taco salad if you have not.

Whenever I'm in a new city I always try to find the best Mexican food/burrito. This place was a great first impression for the food in Lawton. I ordered the burrito California, it was literally the biggest california burrito I have ever had. It was packed with fries, a good portion of meat, and the pico was really good. This is the first time that I wasnt able to finish a burrito, i got about 3 quarters of it down. Inside the establishment was really spacious and nice and the customer service was great. Just moved here from San Diego, CA and was missing the Mexican food. Their Cali burrito was a close resemblance to San Diego's And it was a HUGE yummy burrito!

Happened upon this as I traveled for work. Man I love finding a gem during work travels and this was it! Such high quality for a quick burrito lunch. So many proteins and salsas to pick from. I had the marinated steak. Couldn't even eat it all! Friendly staff and care put into the food. I see why it has good ratings.

Tried the Mamalone Quesadilla (Birria-Shredded Beef) comes with beans and rice. This is my new fav entree here. Portion is HUGE! and the flavors come together with the cheese and cilantro n onion. I highly recommend this particular menu item. I couldn't eat the whole thing but im gnna snack on it the rest of the night.

When I come back to Lawton, I am going to fast so I can have the Cali Burrito again. Very comparable to LA style Cali Burrito and at a great price. The guys there are awesome and once they start playing music, you know your burrito is going to steal your soul. Yes, just go. Don't think, just do.

This is the best Cali burrito in Lawton. Underrated. It's amazing! I have had the other Cali burrito but I get sick from eating at the one on 38th. This one the service is great and they make the food really well.

Tacos for the win! OK, so I know the namesake is after a burrito but I wasn't feeling quite hungry enough to slam one down and I wanted something crunchy so I opted for the crunchy 3 tacos and YUM! You can have as many meat choices as you'd like, so I did the ground beef, the shredded beef and the Colorado, the shredded beef was my least favorite but the other two were great. After you select your meats your food is passed to the toppings, I opted to keep it simple with lettuce, cheese and pico de gallo, but they also have guacamole, sour cream, raw onions, etc. When you're satisfied with your toppings, payment and boom, 2 minutes after walking in I was walking out with my order. Down side, they don't take Apple Pay and you have to sign a receipt when paying with a card. My three tacos cost about nine bucks after-tax and they were superb, I can't believe this is fast food. I also asked for the hot salsa and man it was killer! If they had any variation of Margarita, I would've stayed and dined in, kind of like Fuzzys if you're familiar with that taco chain, but they did have some traditional beverages like horchata to enjoy. Great fast food stop for sure to please. Would definitely be more convenient to have Apple Pay or tap without the need to grab a germ infested pen and sign your bill but the food is worth a stop.

The food was delicious and the staff was very nice. Both locations are stocked and clean majority of the time. Definitely worth it.

I travel a lot for work and I am always looking for great local places wherever I go. I heard about Cali Burrito in one of the Oklahoma Travel Facebook groups I always refer to in order to find great places to try. I'm glad that someone told me about it because this little hole-in-the-wall place is off the beaten path and never would have known it was here. Think a locally-owned chipotle type place. The portions are really large and the flavor was great. The chicken on my bowl was so fresh that he pulled it straight off the grill to throw it on top. My only complaints were my lettuce was kind of wilted which looked gross but still tasted okay and I was just given my food in a to go form. I had been chatting with the staff and mentioned I was from out of town and I think they assumed I was going to eat on the road. Positives: owner/manager was super friendly, food was pretty fresh, portions were fantastic for the price, good queso -- I'm not usually a white queso fan but theirs was pretty good. I'll definitely stop back by when I'm in town again.

I used to live in SoCal, and this is definitely the best burrito in Oklahoma. Very filling, fast service, friendly staff and a casual atmosphere. I will go here every time I'm in town from now on.

HUGE burritos. Only place to go in Lawton for burritos/burrito bowls. Steak is similar to a Carne Guisada and super tasty. Tortillas are thick and fresh pressed for a perfect crust. Menu prices are a steal for how much food you receive. Well done Cali Burrito!

Wow...These burritos are HUGE!!! Go here very hungry!! We could not finish these and we were very hungry. They have other items on the menu like tacos, quesadillas, etc. but you can't go to a burrito joint without getting a burrito, right?! I liked that I could pick what toppings I wanted and select multiple meats. I ordered steak and hubby got steak and carnitas. I was not a fan of the steak but the carnitas was very good! We also got a side of queso and chips. Which was very good! I'll be back for sure! Warning... food coma possible!

Steak cali fries for sure. I like that they let you select your toppings, instead of having standard items. Works for me because I dislike when places DROWN your food in queso. Went with medium hot sauce on top which set it off nicely. Just wish the portion was bigger because ya boy can EAT.

Man I just had to come back. The burrito was screaming in my ear... Here's a pic left to right: Side of B&R, Cali Fries w/Chili Verde, Burrito Calif w/Chili Colorado, and 3 Shredded Beef Tacos... Bottle of Coors Light and hotel key card for scale... Nothing on the menu (except the Quesadilla) over $8.25... And yes, I'm eating it ALL! Lmao PS Oh and a, I'm from Cali too. Born and raised for over 40 years. I read a couple of reviews on here stating that Cali Burrito has no clue... Well I've eaten my share of probably hundreds of burritos from California. I mean it's not like CA is lacking in good food south of the border. There are literally thousands of places in SO Cal alone. Yes, there are some good Mex establishments there. But I'm sticking to my word. This is as good or better than any burrito I've ever had with the exception of one... Get off your high horses fellow Cali residents. Just because you're from California doesn't mean you're an authority on Mexican food. The actual best burrito I've EVER really had, was from my Grandma Guzman. And that was in El Paso. Give this place a try. You won't be disappointed...

MASSIVE and singularly delicious burritos! Reasonable prices. Friendly restaurateur.

Doesn't look like much when you drive by. Heck, half the time, it doesn't look open. If you're hungry though and looking for some fast, great tasting, more than you can eat food, then this is the place for you. The service is always fast and so far I haven't had an order messed up. I always get a burrito with the AL Pastor, which isn't AL Pastor just steak but it's so delicious and it's usually a two part meal for the day. The process are just right so your not breaking the bank to get fast and happy.

I always try a new place whenever I am in Lawton when I travel from Altus. I loved this place. I tried their daily special on Thursday August 18th Steak Fajita burrito and 16 oz drink for less than $10!!! I went ahead and ordered Chips and Guac too. I ate half my food and had enough for another meal. Definitely coming back here again!

This is a great place to get a HUGE tasty burrito. You'll need two free hands and one very empty belly for one of these bad boys. I feel like I can't stress enough how big they are. A single burrito is a solid two meals worth. I had the California burrito with fries and bacon inside. It was wonderful. I recommend that you get the queso inside. It's like a thin queso blanco and it's delicious. I would compare it to a white nacho cheese. Super tasty. The only thing I didn't care for was their meat, which I didn't think had a great flavor. I had the brisket, but maybe some of their other meats are seasoned differently. Other than the great food, all of the employees were super kind and welcoming as well. The location is a bit scary, so I would recommend coming during the day if you worry about that sort of thing. You might need awhile to digest the gigantic burrito before going to bed anyway, so you might as well stop by for lunch. Overall I would say that this place is definitely worth a try though! The burritos are such a steal.

Amazing one of the best places I have ever been to would recommend over any $1 million restaurant. It is so amazing you have to go there and try it. It is cheap and it is delicious and fresh. One of the few things I miss about Oklahoma. We always stopped when we were in Lawton. Huge tasty burritos and more good food. Friendly staff and decent prices. Worth a visit!

I'm just saying that these burritos mean business!! They are not for the faint of heart or your peeps that eat just a small amount of food. This place is for folks that can throw the food down and come back for more. Not to mention, the ingredients are fresh and taste delicious. The place is in the middle of nowhere as we thought we got lost but, NOPE there it was. Small, no frills building but super clean inside and super nice folks working. Gotta go try one of these Cali sized burritos out!

To keep it simple, Cali Burrito of Lawton, OK makes corporate giants such as Qdoba and Chipotle seem like one-ply ass wipes. Initially, the urge to try it out wasn't significant since Lawton is scattered with gems of hole-in-the-walls. I finally gave it a try after years of hearing the locals rave about this place. I write my very first Yelp review for the sake of giving Cali Burrito it's very worthy mention and begging anyone reading this to take my word for it! Or don't... just look at the photos. Disclaimer: I have never been to California let alone try a true "California burrito", but I think it's safe to say that's besides the point. This place isn't meant to emanate burritos from California, but rather becoming a new mecca for mega-sized burritos with a gold standard for flavor & freshness.

Umm, where do I start... I've spent damn near my whole childhood in northern California and five whole years in southern California before I moved out here. In no way does this place come close to any of the burritos I've enjoyed back home. My roommate (who's also from Cali, like myself) convinced me to give this place a chance because even though he knew this place was bad, he needed a second opinion. And at first, I wanted to give this place two stars (because I saw some potential in the first couple bites.) And I do understand that it might be a little hard to source certain ingredients in this part of the country. The more I dug into my burrito (carnita w/ black beans and everything in it,) the lower my hopes for this place got. There's a certain "stale" quality I got from it, like maybe the ingredients weren't being stored properly, and that might actually be a hazard. Not to mention, the refills for their horchata dispenser involved a woman having to bring over a suspiciously ill-kept bucket of questionable material to pour into the machine (with NO ICE, mind you.) What kind of Mexican establishment serves horchata without ice!!??!? This place, that's what. There were a lot of small things that I noticed were "off" after I walked in and placed my order (beans weren't refried so they fall out of the burrito, no steam coming from the serving trays so the ingredients for the burritos weren't being kept fresh, etc.) but they could have at least pretended to look like they gave a damn about what they were serving people. Guy at the front looked like he was done with life. Atmosphere was almost as drab as the burrito they gave me, and it was NOT worth the $9. Want decent Mexican food? Texas is an hour drive away, sorry.

Burritos the size of Cali. My husband found this place on Yelp when looking for a good Mexican spot in Lawton. We're here visiting his grandmother and are trying to find some good food in the area. We went here mainly based on one photo of a huge burrito the size of a woman's head. Three of us ordered a burrito bowl, a burrito, and tacos. It was decent food for the are, but I've definitely had better Mexican. For the price point it was good and definitely filled us up!

We were shopping one day and stopped here to avoid the usual burgers, etc. The people were pleasant and the restaurant appeared very clean. I had high hopes that I'd love it because it smelled delish. Unfortunately, it was not for me, my husband, or my niece. Both of them will usually eat anything. I understand it's a different type of Mexican (hence Cali), and could tell it's popular, so obviously, it's just us. It's not to our taste. But the portions are massive and they were reasonably priced, so I'd suggest trying it.

Oh my I am stuffed to the rim. I got the burrito california stuffed with carnitas, beans, bacon , fries, cheese, jalapeño, pico & guacamole- holy cow yes it is long as a dollar bill & fatter then a water bottle. I didn't think I was going to be able to eat the whole thing but I couldn't stop eating it, it was so good. Just here visiting but will be back before I leave without a doubt. Yes it is a hole in the wall kind of a joint & off the beaten path but well worth it.

I used to live in Cali and this is not a Cali burrito, but it's pretty good. I wouldn't write home to mama about it yet it hits the spot when you want Mexican.

Great variety of fresh Mexican food! We ordered shortly before closing, and they made it when my husband arrived. We had a chicken quesadilla, ground beef bowls, and cheese quesadillas for the kiddos. Prices were very reasonable too!

The location on 38th St. sucks. I had to ask three times for no sour cream on my burrito and then he messed it up and was too busy bebop into the music. He had playing in the background to actually pay attention to what kind of order I want it

For a place calling itself "Cali" Burritos; I was expecting the western taste of CA, but sadly disappointed that it wasn't. Though the portion was good for its burrito sizes, the taste was just not how I expected plus adding fries didn't help. The Steak quesadillas were decent, steaks were cooked the medium I wanted. The Horchatas drinks were on point and it confused me at first on the menu bc they were spelled "Orchata" but again they have two spellings depending where your from. I give this place a star for sizes, one for courtesy, and lastly for the drinks. Minus for tastes and minus for not giving the usual chips and sauce, napkins, and or spice condiments any other Hispanic place would give.

Stopped for dinner at Cali Burrito Express. We had the Quesobirria with black beans and spanish rice.

The. Best. Wish they were in Alaska! Miss their tacos and burritos!! They also always catered to personal menu changes, made it exactly how you wanted it!

Good food, good service and the food is great... I could eat here several days a week and not get tired of it.
