California Lighthouse

This place has a good view. $5 a person entrance fee. Quite a lots of step and very narrow stairway. It definitely has strong wind blowing when you are up high, however the structure felt pretty stable.

This makes for a nice side trip to the northern part of the island. The lighthouse area offers some excellent views of the north end of Aruba as well as views looking back at the hotels near the Nord area. There are snacks available from a food truck and meals offered at a nice looking restaurant (which also has restrooms you can use for $1 per person).

Beautiful spot to check out. Great place for sunset. Easy and smooth drive getting up. If you wanna go to the top of the lighthouse, get there early, it closes at 4-5pm.

The lighthouse is of historical importance, sitting on the northern end of the island. At the time of this review (Jan 2026), the entire structure is under restoration/construction, with a giant scaffolding around it. As a result, you cannot climb it, which would have been the highlight of the visit. Without the climb, there is not much to do around - there is a restaurant/event center (this was also closed during the day) and some fast food/drink sellers. Wait until the renovation is over and the lighthouse is open for visiting.

Although the California Lighthouse is currently closed for maintenance, I still wanted to see it during my visit. It was beautiful to view at sunrise, and I can’t wait to come back and experience it once it’s open again.

A beautiful place to visit. This is located at the northern tip of the island. A bus can be taken the majority of the way there but you will still have a 20 minute walk. Cost is $5 a person to enter. Beautiful view and worth the cost.

A cool landmark to visit when you are in Aruba, it is on one end of the island and you have plenty of parking on the side of the road, there is a $5 ticket if you wish to go up the lighthouse. It has a beautiful view as you can see water on 3 sides of the island

Amazing spot, especially at sunset! There’s an Italian restaurant (we didn’t try it), but the views of Palm and Eagle Beach from top are just stunning. Highly recommended!
