Calista Taverna Laguardia Airport - Review - LaGuardia Airport - New York - The Infatuation

"A shockingly good grilled branzino is waiting for you at Calista Taverna, a Mediterranean terrace in Terminal C. The fish has a smoky, blistery skin, and each filet remains tender and moist. If you take a well-cropped photo of the open-fire grill and fish mosaic walls, you might even convince your friends that you’re somewhere tropical rather than en route to Detroit. The dishes on the Greek menu are generally light and refreshing, and the cocktails like the rum and ube Sisyphus’s Day Off will also help you take any travel-related edge off." - Anne Cruz

The food is exceptional. I had the Greek salad and my wife had the lentil soup (which she said was the best she ever had) and the lemon potatoes (we shared and they were really good! The place is well designed and very colorful. Our waitress was Nisha and she was delightful and efficient. The prices are very reasonable for an airport. Highly recommended!!

Very pricey but first time was good and the server provided solid recommendations within a short time to my flight. The souvlaki was dry but still tasty. The second time I went I had a bartender who gave me menus didn’t even try to ask if I wanted a drink or was on a schedule and then didn’t come back for 20 minutes even when I tried to catch his eye and instead focused on all the other customers. I was excited to eat again despite the price and he screwed that up.

I wish I've never stopped there... but hostess lady and waitress were very friendly, so I stepped in. I've got some wierd greek "lasagna" with almost no meat and made of macaroni; feta cheese was a second dish. I don't know what was bad, but it made me so sick 3 hours later, so I had to run into the bathroom when the plane was descending. It's not safe at all, and it's such a shame... I skipped my next work day, couldn't eat at all ( every little piece caused nausea), just black tea with a spoon of a suger. That's not the experience you want to have for $50+ before taxes. And YES, you should tip before you eat... I tipped well and got a vomit. Thank you guys.

I didn’t expect to find such a gem at an airport, but this Greek restaurant at LaGuardia exceeded all expectations! The space was impeccably clean, which instantly put me at ease. The menu offered a great selection of delicious dishes, and everything we ordered was fresh and absolutely delicious—easily one of the best airport meals I’ve ever had. The Mediterranean Burger was great and Our waitress Nisha was amazing! If you’re passing through LaGuardia and craving flavorful, quality food, this place is a must. Great food, fantastic service, and an oasis of calm in the middle of a busy airport. Highly recommend to travelers.

The setup is stupid. They ask you to pay and tip when ordering. How am I to know what to tip if I haven't been provided any service. The server told me I could adjust the tip later, so I put $0 down for a tip. There is no way to adjust the tip later however so the server missed out. I guess she can charge to the company. The food ain't cheap so she easily would have received about $15.

Our server, Nisha was super! Careful attention to detail, warm, friendly, courteous. The bartender, Giuseppe, sort of read my mind and I had a lovely wine that I likely would not have tried except for his recommendation.

Very expensive for all the service to be automated. One sandwich took 45 min. 9 people working the kitchen only saw about 6-7 orders go out. Good food just be prepared to wait a while and not have very good customer service.

I had some time to kill before my flight and I also have flight jitters. My bartender Carlos is very good at making people feel welcomed, which helps a lot and adds to the cozy vibe of the restaurant!
