Nestled in a serene canyon, this elegant Napa Valley resort boasts cozy lodges, stunning vineyard views, a private lake, a luxurious spa, and divine dining.
"Calistoga Ranch was damaged in the Glass Fire of 2020. They are closed indefinitely. Calistoga Ranch sits in a private canyon of the ridge that makes up the eastern side of the Napa Valley. From this secluded spot, the entire valley floor unfolds. On windy nights, you might spot hawks surfing thermal winds just outside your balcony. But the views aren’t the only selling points of this ultra-luxurious 157-acre resort. Instead of traditional rooms, Calistoga Ranch is composed of 50 freestanding one- and two-bedroom guest lodges. Each upscale-yet-approachable lodge resembles a wooden cabin, with sweet-smelling cedar, indoor and outdoor showers, and a deck that opens to the mossy forest. The resort’s calendar is packed with activities, including bocce, wine-blending classes, and painting and photography workshops. Last year, the resort started offering guests a formal guided hike to Davis Estates Winery with a picnic lunch along the way. The pool area has earned numerous awards for its laid-back design. The on-site spa specializes in hydrotherapy with soaking treatments, while the property’s largest restaurant, dubbed The Lakehouse, overlooks Lake Lommel and serves a host of dishes made of all local produce. Try the halibut with piperade , carrot, fennel, and scallops."
This place is amazing. The service, and attitude of the people is top notch. The 2 bedroom suite was so beautiful and spacious. The inside/outside flow allows you to enjoy the grounds and fantastic weather. Every morning the smell of the surrounding trees and eucalyptus is an amazing way to wake up. We fell in love with this place, we plan to share it with friends and family for years to come.

Awesome! What can you say. Heavenly bliss. There was a soiled tissue by the bed when we checked in which was very late at night. But they were on it the next morning and re-cleaned the entire room. Great staff. Peaceful place. Took the hike over to the adjacent winery ? Davis? With our 7 year old and the hike was fantastic! We all loved it. Heated pool which was great for Spring Break.

Spectacular setting and top notch service. We held our wedding ceremony here and their staff made it all a breeze. The on-site restaurant has amazing terrace views and the presentation and flavors do not disappoint. Long story short, yes on the pricey side, but the experience is worth it.

We stayed at Calistoga Ranch for our honeymoon. I cannot recommend CR more highly, and I've stayed at some pretty stellar places. The outdoor showers coupled with our own hot tub made staying at the Resort all day a very tempting proposition. If you can make it out of the room, there's a quiet pool you can enjoy or better yet try out their spa. We had a couple's massage and it was superb. The on-property restaurant is a one-star restaurant and it shows. Phenomenal food, even if the view wasn't what it could be given how beautiful the rest of the property is. The rooms were cleaned promptly and thoroughly. A special shoutout to housekeeping: I somehow left a very expensive watch in the room when I checked out, but housekeeping was in the room cleaning so quickly - and they were so honest - that they radioed down and had someone catch up to me to return the watch. The tip I gave them for returning the watch only begins to express how thankful I am for their service. The watch was my wedding gift, and I would have had a very upset new wife if I'd lost that! I can't wait for our next trip to Calistoga.

Such a wonderful gem of a property. It's tucked into a small valley and each of the rooms are actually their own suites that are not attached to the others in any way. It's the perfect place to stay while you explore wine country.

I stayed in this beautiful resort a few years ago with a girlfriend. The setting is serene and peaceful and the property is well-equipped with everything necessary for a relaxing escape.
We stayed in a two bedroom cottage with a hot tub, outdoor shower, fire place and cozy indoor and outdoor seating. The food on the property is divine - we didn't eat a single meal off site. Also, the spa is definitely worth checking out - I booked a milk and honey bath followed by a massage. Bliss!
