We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It was tranquil and cozy. My wife liked it and complimented me for choosing this for our weekend's stay :) The instructions to enter and go about doing everything else were meticulously captured in the welcome envelope by the hosts. That really stood out for me. I'd recommend it highly and don't mind reserving the Wine Way Inn again!

This hotel was very overpriced. We paid almost $400 for an incredibly small room (nowhere to put an open suitcase) with no AC and constant road noise. The stairs to the room are very narrow and would not meet code today. While the outdoor seating areas look nice in the photos, the road noise makes them not at all enjoyable. The room was very hot when we arrived, so we called (as no one is on site) and requested that the AC be turned on as it is handled centrally and you can't control it from your room. It stayed on for a short while, but when we returned from dinner it was off. We couldn't open the windows because of the noise and smoke blowing inside from a neighboring BBQ place. The cold water in the refrigerator was nice as were the treats. The breakfast voucher was at a very crowded place and included drip coffee or tea and a very mediocre and small breakfast sandwich. The location is close to town, but you pay for that with the road noise. I don't understand the high ratings for this place.

Really enjoyed our beautiful room and the little treats left for the guests. We got lucky with parking but it looked like it might be a challenge. Location was near perfect bec downtown restaurants were walking distance. I was surprised at the road noise since it seemed like a small country road but there was regular use of it throughout the night. We would stay here again.

Yelp
We spent a night with my husband to celebrate our anniversary and go the next day to Castello di Amorosa. The place is really nice and cozy, we stayed at the Yountville room and it was perfect for what we were there. Selft Check in and out works perfect. They check on you by text all the time and answer any questions right away. They give you a voucher for breakfast each day of your stay, breakfast place is really good. It is 5 minutes driving to Castello di Amorosa, 1 block to main street. The have parking right in front and there is a gas station across the street. So location is perfect. We really recommend this place if you want to spend somedays in Napa Valley.

Yelp
Made the reservation on the road via Travigo.. We arrived after dark but had been emailed by the owners telling us exactly what to expect. Pulled in to see our room "napa" envelope on the door as promised. This Bed n Breakfast didn't come with breakfast but coupon for the Calisoga Roastery was included and we were very grateful. This is an adorable house.. highly recommend... especially with a large group that can use the back yard areas to enjoy the Napa time.

Yelp
This place was great! Easy check in, cozy space with a lovely garden and so many small ways to make it memorable. There was a great little snack bag of goodies, great coffee/tea selection and a huge bonus was lots of free water bottles which is pretty key when enjoying wine country. Highly recommended!

Yelp
We stayed a night at this lovely place. Nick was very accommodating for a last minute reservation. We had a great little patio so we sat outside and relaxed after dinner. The bed was extremely comfortable. Would definitely recommend this Inn.

Yelp
Stopped here in the middle of our Napa wine tour. I've never had gnocchi like I did here, the vegetables in it made me feel really healthy (': the gnocchi were very soft and really flavorful for such a light sauce. The charcuterie board came with guava (?) jam and duck liver, which I don't see often n I loved it! Beautiful sitting area outside with a fire pit too, and lots of trees for some shade during a warm day

Yelp
Total gem of a Bed & Breakfast! I would definitely stay here again. The food, location, room, and hospitality were wonderful. Not great parking, but check around next to inn on Foothill. There are spaces for four cars just next the inn, but small cars tend to park only in the two spots closest to the street. There is also room for four cars in front of the in. Ring doorbell on arrival. Elizabeth was warm and welcoming. Downstairs area equipped with umbrellas, couches, magazines, and more. Wine available in afternoons. First night there was a "Roussan." Not my favorite. I was surprised there weren't more hyperlocal wines given the amazing the Calistoga wine scene. Kitchen and backyard/garden area are beautiful and suprisingly spacious. The dining area was set very formally and was aesthetically pleasing. The back of the property is completely unsuspecting! The garden is lovely, and there is tons of seating available, including at the top of the gazebo area (where you get a gorgeous view of the mountains). The rooms are nice, too. The Yountville room is perfect for one person. Great size and set up. Right next to stairs, so a little noisy. Plenty of storage space, though. Bathroom tub is old. L'Occitane toiletries. Plenty of towels. Sink was a little slow to drain. Blowdryer did not work well. Shower mat was under sink. Foothill Rd is pretty noisy. People drag race/speed at night. Physical key opens front door and room door. Must actively lock room door, but front door closes behind you.

Yelp
Not a pleasant stay. We were alarmed when we arrived one afternoon to find the front door handle had fallen off and main door was inoperable. The fix was to post a note telling all( including anyone passing by) to enter through unlocked kitchen sliding door. Had there been a fire or emergency, those who knew of door issue would have had to make their way out of the back of the house to safety. AC was turned off in front part of house for most of our stay and we had to text requesting it to be turned on. For two nights it ran for about one hour and then shut off which resulted in a choice of suffering in stale hot room or opening window and being subjected to highway noise all night as inn sits at crossroads of busy intersection. While quaint and breakfast voucher was appreciated, the price for lodging far exceeded the value and experience.

Yelp
The Calistoga Wine Way Inn was a fantastic place to stay during our first trip to Calistoga! Spacious rooms, with complimentary shuttle passes and breakfast vouchers. The inn is within walking distance of downtown Calistoga, with many places to grab a glass of wine and delicious food. We would definitely recommend to any couples looking to stay in the Calistoga area! Thanks again Nick & Gillian!

Yelp
The Wine Way Inn was fabulous! It was my first time in Napa, and I was looking for somewhere to stay in wine country that was close to the wineries yet not in the middle of nowhere. This was pretty ideal as it's surrounded by little tasting rooms, restaurants, and there's a market/taqueria next door. The only downside is that because it's so central, it gets a little noisy since it's located right on the main drag. We stayed in the Oakville room, which was comfortable, modern, had a little semi-private deck area, and new air-conditioning. We will be back!

Yelp
Awesome owners ,very accommodating and caring! Such a nice little cottage style hotel. I love that it's affordable with no extra unnecessary hidden fees. It's Clean and vintage. Walking distant to lots of restaurants and cafes. Cant wait to come here again.

Yelp
If I could live here, I would. We stayed here Sat-Sun night and were absolutely blown away by this place in every aspect you can possibly think of. Calistoga is such a cool town and we both couldn't help talking about how great it would be to eventually live here. Everyone is SO NICE! Thank you Calistoga for having us, we will definitely be coming back and staying specifically at the Calistoga Wine Way Inn. The location is wonderful as it is just outside the downtown area of Calistoga making it the perfect place to stay and still be able to walk anywhere you'd like to go. Just a couple houses down is a fantastic BBQ place that has great food and blues on Sundays from 2-5 (also amazing in every way). Our innkeeper was hospitable in every way without being pushy, we truly felt at home there and wanted for nothing but still felt like we had the place to ourselves even though other people were also staying there. It has a total of 8 rooms in the inn, 7 within the house and one stand alone. We stayed in the Rutherford room and it was super cozy and very clean! The breakfast on both Sat and Sun was delicious and fresh. They start serving at 8:30am but certainly have coffee and tea going before then. We had a mix of vegetarian and meat dishes to choose from, homemade yogurt (a personal favorite), fresh fruit, and homemade scones. One of the sister inn's hosts is a baker and makes the scones from scratch! This place has such a great personal touch with all the amenities of a hotel like parking, wifi, cleanliness, and privacy. There are nice couches and chairs downstairs so if you want to just sit and read there is no better place! Truly a gem of Calistoga, we loved staying here and were so sad to leave. We will be back!!!

Yelp
Quaint. Charming. Value. Bed and breakfast situated on HWY 128 right when you get into Calistoga. Great breakfast! I'm definitely coming back. We paid about $170 a night on a Saturday and drove 20 minutes down to Oakville to see Thievery Corporations at the Robert Mondavi winery. The garden is really beautiful. If you're sensitive to car noise, it might not be the best. No pets.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed here months ago.. At which time I posted a lack luster review.. However I removed it after the manager called my husband and complained how my review would affect their ratings. Here's my honest disclosure.. Calistoga is extremely expensive and we did select the lowest prices room.. It was at the front of the inn and so you hear all the road noise, but you also hear all the noise from your neighbors; I believe one guest left at like 5 a.m. and proceeded to drag their cases down each step of the stairs.. Again this was not anything the inn had control over.. Maybe they could communicate expectations when checking out early. The bed was extremely uncomfortable; I believe this is the one thing that could be easily dealt with. Now for the good.. Good breakfast.. Central location.. But use caution when selecting your room since it's an older building and had little sound insulation from the seat or other rooms

Yelp
My mom and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here during our spa trip to Calistoga! Gillian went above and beyond to create a homey, comfortable and personalized stay. Location is great, walking distance to downtown Calistoga. Super accommodating and allowed us to check in a little bit earlier, as we had mud baths and massages booked in the afternoon. Beautiful guest lounge and garden, clean rooms and comfortable beds :) Breakfast was AMAZING. So many delicious options, everything house made, including the best scones I've ever had. She is a fabulous chef and even has a cookbook featuring "inn food" recipes! Look no further for where to stay in Calistoga!

Yelp
My wife and I initially planned a trip to Portland in order to celebrate her 33rd birthday. However, as the trip date drew nearer, we would learn that the Federal Government shutdown would have a negative impact on traveling. We ended up cancelling the trip and booking a two night stay at a bed and breakfast in nearby Calistoga (my wife's first time in Calistoga). Aside from my wife having never been to Calistoga, we wanted to venture beyond the commercialized Napa wine tasting experience and pursue a romantic, low key wine tasting experience. My beautiful, resourceful better half found the Calistoga Wine Way Inn. When we arrived we were warmly created by Elizabethe who proceeded to give us a tour of the house. En Route to the morning dining area and backyard, we passed a cozy living room with a small reception area filled with scones (this was my first time having scones, they are delicious!), coffee, hot water (for tea), and your choice of red wine, white wine, or Sherry (a fortified white wine). After passing the huge family-style dining table, Elizabethe led us to the backyard area. The backyard is absolutely gorgeous! The first level of the backyard has a quaint gazebo area with plenty of seating, followed by the second level seating area topped off with a fire pit. Unfortunately, it had rained earlier that day; therefore, we were unable to enjoy the backyard. However, I can definitely envision a romantic spring/summer evening with a couple bottles of wine and good conversation with other guests. After our tour of the entire house (including our room), we went back to our room to relax. Our room included a fridge loaded with apples, water, and sparkling water (perfect for rehydrating after a day of wine tasting), a Smart TV preloaded with Netflix and Amazon Prime TV (we didn't have to watch Netflix on our tablet...yay!), a large bathtub (to my understanding these are not available in all of the rooms), and a comfy bed (I need to know where they purchased their fluffy pillows). As a side note, directly across the street from the inn is Tank Garage Winery and next door to the inn is Puerto Vallarta Market (the Mexican restaurant located within the establishment is delicious!). Both mornings we were thoroughly impressed with the buffet-style, semi-healthy breakfast spread prepared by Elizabethe and her staff. While dining, we met some pretty awesome, sociable people who made the community breakfast experience enjoyable (sometimes community dining can be awkward). Aside from ensuring that the breakfast met everyone's needs (Elizabethe also caters to those whom have food allergies), Elizabethe did a great job of interacting with all of the guests and making winery & restaurant suggestions. My only gripe (and this "gripe" will not prevent us from staying here again) is that the house is not well-insulated against noise. Therefore, you can hear street traffic and other guests moving around in their room(s) and/or within the house. However, I understand that this is an older home, so the sound insulation may be due for an upgrade. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Calistoga Wine Way Inn. We look forward to returning so that we can revisit some of our favorite wineries, discover some new wineries, and most importantly...relax. We missed you at checkout, so on behalf of my wife and I...thank you Elizabethe!

Yelp
One of the most uncomfortable beds I've ever had the misfortune to sleep on, paper-thin walls forcing me to hear the all-night noise-making of the rude couple next door, awful-tasting under-baked ginger scones. The innkeepers are eager to remedy the situation if possible, and I appreciate the desire. The uncomfortable bed requires a mattress replacement. Street noise and inter-room noise requires even more capital improvement. I learned the bad scones engendered feedback to the baker. Breakfast this morning was delicious. Noisy occupants of two nights ago were quiet last night, and I was so exhausted from lack of sleep from the noisy two nights prior that I slept deeply last night, uncomfortable mattress notwithstanding. The intent to improve their inn seems genuine. Here's hoping the owner is able to act on that desire soon.

Yelp
Such a quaint, quiet and beautiful BnB experience in Calistoga. We drove into the top of napa to stay the night and spend the following day working our way south! This was a GREAT location to do so! Only 5 minutes from our must stop winery Castello di Amorosa. Our room was very clean and we slept very comfortably. Breakfast the next day was so delicious and the owners were very sweet. The outback patio is a beautiful little oasis they've created that's unexpected from the outside. We also GREATLY appreciated the unlimited water bottles in a mini fridge for all guests to have. It was quite necessary throughout our drive through tastings in wine country!

Yelp
This was my first time coming to wine country and I had a great time. Calistoga is a calm spot with tons of small shops, a quaint town feel, and beautiful views of the surrounding vineyards. I found the Wine Inn during a Groupon search and asked if brining a toddler and baby along would be okay. The owners were so warm and gracious -- they even offered to upgrade me and my husband's room if we booked directly through them (which we did). We stayed in the Lokoya (sp) room on the first floor that had a king bed, mini living area, and the most gorgeous bathroom -- including claw-foot tub and frameless shower -- you've ever seen. The room was comfy, but that bathroom was unforgettable! While I have stayed in so-called B&Bs before, this one was so special. Everyone got up in the morning to sit in the dining area and receive one of the tastiest home-cooked meals you'll get. The innkeppers are personable, attentive, and really make their former home a place to call your own. I love small businesses and really enjoyed my time here at Wine Inn.

Yelp
We stayed here for a New Years Eve staycation. It was pretty lovely interior with a eclectic and fun exterior for the backyard, stairs that lead to multiple levels and finally at the top a cute little gazebo to sit and relax in, looking out over the house, street and so forth. We stayed in the Silverado room and loved it. It's nice this room is located on the first floor and towards the back of the house with a close off to the community room, the downside is that it's located right outside the kitchen. Literally, you open the door, and there the kitchen island is. This is only a bother in the morning early when breakfast is being organized and guests are arriving in. Slightly odd also walking out sleepy from your room to strangers but ah, it is a bed & breakfast. The breakfast was filling and delicious, an egg scramble but would have liked toast or English muffins with jam and tea. The woman who was cooking was pleasant and we were happy with the service we received the entire visit. We absolutely LOVED the tub, comfortable bed and super warm fireplace. This is also a great location for walking distance to restaurants. We love the Calistoga Inn for burgers and cocktails. Overall, this was a perfect place for a fun celebration and can absolutely see us going back for a romantic staycation.

Yelp
I'm editing my review, since my first five star review sounded negative. Bed and breakfasts have never been my thing, so I focused on the negatives, instead of positives, even though we LOVED our three night visit. Personal service check in was supposed to end at 6:00, but we arrived about an hour earlier than the end of check in time and there was no one to greet us. There was, however, an envelope with my name enclosing a room key and instructions. Wine, sherry, scones and other treats were provided in the common living area of the inn (my fears relieved), along with interesting reading material and board games. We enjoyed some time out from our trip with a glass of wine and relaxing in the living area. The inn is so beautiful. My ascent up the tiny antique staircase made me wonder if I would live through the trip, especially in "Wine Country." The room was small with no sitting area, other than one chair beside a small window, but I learned to appreciate the lack of space. Although I was quite sick, I was motivated to explore the area. Also, I felt so relaxed after having no television for over three days. There was a small useful closet to the right of the room and the bathroom was nicer than most b&b's I have stayed in. The tub and shower were old fashioned in a good way. I enjoyed a nice hot bath in an old fashioned bathtub. The bathroom was supplied with L'occitane products that I love so much. There was a nice sized chest for clothes and storage area in the bathroom. There was also a nightstand on either side of the bed with a large open place in the middle and a drawer at the bottom. The breakfasts were AMAZING!!! We met so many interesting people staying and working at the inn during our visit. Also, this inn is within walking distance of many restaurants and tasting rooms and so close to the wineries. Kim gave us great tips for our visit and she was a fantastic hostess. I would love to visit this B&B again.

Yelp
We really enjoyed staying here this past week. Pros: good breakfast at a reasonable time. 830-930 is the perfect time. Friendly staff. The rooms were nice. Our room, the Oakville, was basic but had a nice private outdoor patio area. Location is also a plus, right at the end of the main street in town. The staff also put out wine and sherry every night for guests. Cons: traffic noise can be a problem if you are a light sleeper. The room we stayed in was small and very basic. There is a shared refrigerator on the second level for guests but it was packed full with water. And it seemed like an odd location perched on a window sill. Overall a good experience and we'd recommend it.

Yelp
I love the Wine Way Inn! We have now stayed here twice... the location and service is impeccable... there are a lot of options for your to pick when you stay at Calistoga, but you can't really beat Wine Way Inn. My husband accidentally booked our room for the weekend after we arrived, so we arrived with no reservation (oops!). They were still able to accommodate us, and we were actually upgraded when they realized we were return customers. They also have a wonderful breakfast in the morning that is homemade... great bacon, homemade granola and yogurt, and these delicious spiced cherries and homemade scones-- they also had a very tasty egg dish-- it was so delicious! we were planning on stopping at Gotts on the way back home, but were too full from breakfast! Lastly, it's located right on Foothill blvd., on the corner of the main drag of Calistoga. Its 5-10 mins from most of our favorite wineries/tasting rooms, and across the street from Tank, which is always worth a visit. Stay at Wine Way Inn-- you won't be disappointed!

Yelp
This was one of the best B&B stays I've experienced. Elizabeth made us feel like family, from the first call to the day we left. Her hospitity was outstanding. The walk to downtown was literally across the street for some great restaurants, desserts and shops. I also recommend Calistoga Balloons for an unbelievable hot air balloon ride, which was also within walking distance. Definitely look forward to staying here again

Yelp
Such a great charming bed and breakfast. The host, Max, is super accommodating. The breakfast in the morning was also delicious! We loved the baked goods that get placed out after breakfast and the wine that they place out at night. We also got fresh cookies and cognac in our room when we arrived. The only downside to this place is the bathroom. We stayed in the Diamond room and there was no door to the bathroom. Further there are mirrors placed on the walla so you can literally see someone using the bathroom from almost anywhere in the room. Awkward.

Yelp
The Wine Way Inn is a bit like stepping into an English bed and breakfast -- but the rooms are much cozier and instead of a heart-clogging traditional English fry-up of eggs and bacon, you're served gourmet fare such as chilled pears in Chardonnay sauce, baked apple pancakes, and creamy scrambled eggs. Breakfast is served buffet style and the table is elegantly set with china and cloth napkins (and napkin rings!). You sit with the other guests, which we really enjoyed. We weren't sure we would, but we had such a good time chatting that we all lingered at table, laughing and exchanging stories. Co-owner Nick is an amazing cook and an excellent source on which restaurants and wineries to visit in Napa. My husband and I stayed in the tastefully decorated St. Helena room. It is one of the biggest rooms, albeit with a tiny bathroom. Nick told us about the bathroom beforehand, so we were OK with it. There are two small drawers in the bathroom where you can stash a few of your toiletries, but it's best to keep your kit outside the door. The Wine Way Inn provides hair dryers (look in the dresser), bottled water and free Wifi, which I appreciated. Also, there is complimentary red and white wine and sherry (how English) in the living room and a small selection of books in the bookcase at the top of the stairs. I understand there's a very relaxing back patio where you can sit and enjoy the sunshine as well. Since we came on a chilly and wet February weekend, we didn't make use of it (but plan to in the future). One thing to note: If you are a very light sleeper, ask for a room toward the back of the inn, which sits within spitting distance of a major intersection. Traffic can be pretty heavy early in the morning, though it tapers off pretty quickly after 8 a.m. I got up pretty early, so it wasn't a problem for me. We stayed at the Wine Way Inn b/c it was a Christmas present from family -- they grabbed the deal on LivingSocial. We're glad they did -- a very good choice for your Napa Valley vacation. We will be back!

Yelp
The Calistoga Wine Way Inn was everything I expected a bed and breakfast in wine country to be: quaint, romantic, rustic, and nestled in a junction between nature and town. A beautiful home, the Wine Way Inn was a welcoming stop after a 2 hour drive. The innkeepers were incredibly kind and cared very much about our comfort. We arrived late at night and at the doorstep was a letter addressed to us with a key inside. The inn itself was beautiful and very homey I would say. A place Laura Ingalls might have grown up had she been born 50 years after her actual birthday. Anyway, beautiful place. The room we stayed in, St. Helena, was romantic and cozy; everything we needed. The breakfast that was served was also very simple but good: breakfast sausage, fluffy eggs, banana bread, fruits, granola, juice, milk, coffee, tea...and the best for last what Gianna called breakfast beans. So good.. Overall, great and romantic place to stay! Oh and did I mention complimentary self-serve wine in the living room?

Yelp
This place is so amazing! We are in town for a wedding and booked the Lokoya room to accommodate my husband and I along with our 3 and 5 year old. I was very worried about them disturbing others but at breakfast we even heard someone say, "There are kids here? I didn't even hear them!" I did my share of shushing them and they still did their share of shrieking here and there. We absolutely loved our room and this trip turned into a nice mini vacation. Our bathroom was huge and the pull out sofa was perfect for the littles. The place was also very clean. I heard there were big complaints about the noise of cars passing by but our room was the one right by the front door and we were not bothered at all. Yes, you can hear cars pass by here and there but it wasn't a big deal and be barely noticed it. Perhaps if you are super sensitive then be sure to book the room in the far back. The breakfast was delicious and we all had plenty to eat. Complimentary bottled water is provided all day in a self service fridge. There's wine, coffee and tea access pretty much all day. It's also walking distance to some restaurants, shopping and wine tasting. We have just made some wonderful memories here we'll never forget and I'd love to come back one day!

Yelp
The place is very nice, clean and comfortable. There's wine and sherry that you can have and little snacks. It had a beautiful deck that is perfect for enjoying the delicious breakfast provided, especially during the summer. The reason I am not giving it a 5 star review is because our room was on the bottom floor next to the kitchen so if you are a light sleep person like me you will wake up pretty early. Other than that the place is great.

Yelp
Absolutely beautiful, charming home with lots of natural wood, and decorated with wonderful comfortable antiques. Nick cooked an amazing breakfast which was way delicious, and served beautifully. The room was very comfortable, with a super comfy bed and the most marvelous bathroom with a huge clawfoot tub!

Yelp
Came here for my birthday weekend getaway! Absolutely loved the feel of this place from the beginning! The whole place was cozy and very welcoming! Breakfast and complimentary snacks/wine were delicious! Definitely would come back here!!!

Yelp
We loved our one-night stay here. The Yountville room was a tad small, but perfectly adequate for the two of us. There was a lovely patio behind the house with a fireplace (although the gas tank was empty so we couldn't light it) and a gazebo a little ways up the hillside that looks out onto Calistoga. However, the absolute highlight of our stay was the BREAKFAST. There was homemade granola, homemade yogurt, fresh fruit and fresh OJ, scones, poached pears with ginger, savory oat and corn pancakes with veggies (yummy!) and sausage. I'm sure I'm forgetting something... It was all delectable. The innkeepers were also very accommodating of our dietary preferences - gluten free for me and vegetarian for HD. We will return!

Yelp
We booked two nights at the Wine Way Inn while in town to celebrate a birthday. The location is great - easy walking distance to all of Calistoga. The breakfast is wonderful - home cooked and delicious, gracefully served by the owners and enjoyed outside on their lovely patio. (in fact, we enjoyed breakfast so much that we purchased their cookbook in the hopes of replicating some of the dishes at home) The room was comfortable - small and homey, a perfectly comfortable place to come back to at the end of the day. The bathroom was surprisingly large and nice. The property is lovely - though like many Napa Valley visitors we spent the majority of our time out and about, the Wine Way Inn has a very pleasant sitting room and lots of bright space to enjoy breakfast. It's funny, because even as a former resident of the southern Napa Valley I found that I don't know Calistoga all that well. But after this trip I'll be tempted to stay here again on my next visit. One additional note: another couple planned to join the party and stay at the Wine Way Inn as well but had to change their plans at the last minute. The owners were very accommodating and found a way to help them not lose the money from their reservation.

Yelp
This B&B was so adorable and clean and walking distance to downtown Calistoga! I stayed in the Silverado room for the claw foot tub with jets and highly recommend it for relaxation. The room also has a fireplace that turns on with a switch and a great AC. They also give you waters, snacks (a lot of them) and a full coffee and tea bar with Milano cookies! It was so cozy I stayed another night. No breakfast service at this time due to covid but the room was so cozy I probably would've slept in too late anyway. If you get a chance also check out Vintage Treehouse in downtown Calistoga for great antiques. Will definitely be staying here again!

Yelp
Cozy & adorable! Beautiful B&B in Calistoga. Close to restaurants and wineries/tasting rooms. Very clean. Very comfortable. The breakfast was AMAZING! Definitely will return.

Yelp
After much research, I wanted to make our quick trip to the Napa/Calistoga area perfect and not overspend on lodging. We loved our two nights at this ideally located inn- right near so many wineries and walkable dining spots. Plus, Gillian's five-star breakfasts surpass those we've enjoyed in fine hotels. Very clean rooms, good sized bathrooms, and large multi-leveled patio with fire pit (perfect place for your own wine tasting). We will go back-

Yelp
We stayed here for two nights in October. Great prices, super convenient location (you can go for nice hike up the hill, or walk to all the spots in downtown Calistoga). Parking is located out front - off the main highway (there was plenty for all the guests). We were welcomed by Max - who gave a quick overview of things, gave us the 'real scoop' on the restaurants in town, and prepared a fantastic brunch each morning. There is a large and beautiful patio/garden area out back where you can eat your meal, read a book or just hang out. One of the guest rooms actually opens up directly into this patio area. There is a seating/living room area on the main floor where guest congregate and meet before or after meals with brewed coffee/teas available in the am, and local bottle of wine in the afternoon, and some port for nightcaps. Chilled water bottles are available for guests. The room was quite basic (no television and a little fiddling around to get mobile devices charged) but very quiet (we never heard the highway or any other guest) and the bathroom was spacious.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I love this Inn - we first found it though a Groupon offer and because we loved it so much we came back a second time :) The rooms are wonderful. Very clean, very cute and well maintained. I recommend their breakfast as well - super tasty. Should have not skipped it the first time, haha!

Yelp
A very nice place. Max was a great cook (need to channel the way to make those scrambled eggs), mellow guy, helpful. Great location right off of the main drag (and next to a great market that made a wicked steak burrito.... they deserve 6 stars.) Grounds are very pretty- we had the Oakville room which had its own semi-private patio that connected to some common areas (fire pit, etc.) and it's very relaxing. A few issues (said with hopes of having an impact and returning in the future to find them enacted- not in a passive aggressive hostile manner): 1) Oakville room NEEDS A/C. We stayed with our friend for the first night in the Craftsman Inn (sister property) and they had the wall-mounted A/C unit keeping the room nice and cool. Others in the Wine Way had A/C in their rooms. Ours... nope. Even a small portable unit would help. Temperature was 95 every day we were there, making for a warm evening in the room. 2) Bathroom was pretty small/funkily set out. We made it work, but it wasn't optimal. Some kind of layout-rearrangement is probably not on the cards, but.... it wasn't great. 3) It IS pretty pricey. Breakfast was no joke, place is nice... but that's the Napa-ish area for you. Having said my piece, I wholeheartedly endorse this place. Maybe a different room than Oakville until they get A/C. But a very positive experience. Thumbs up.

Yelp
This was our fourth stay at the Wine Way Inn and it's still simply one of our favorite B&B's. Our hostess, Elizabeth, goes out of her way to make you feel welcome and prepares some amazing breakfasts. After spending the day driving around the valley, there's nothing more relaxing than sitting in the living room downstairs enjoying some scones and wine, then walking to dinner in downtown Calistoga.

Yelp
This inn is so wonderful!!! We stayed here for 1 night after climbing to the peak of Mt St. Helena. We really wanted to check in early because we were so dusty and grimy, but check-in time is 3:30-6:00 and we were told the rooms weren't ready. That's ok, there's plenty to do around the area like go to Old Faithful Geyser. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a lovely lady who showed us around the house. In the main room, there was complimentary wine and sherry along with coffee and tea. We stayed in the Yountville room which didn't have a TV but we were prepared for this (iPad with Netflix streaming). The room was very clean and quaint and the bathroom was surprisingly pretty big. In the morning, we went down for breakfast which was served in a dining room and outdoor patio. The indoor table is communal. All the food was baked and made fresh that morning. We had a great time here and felt refreshed when we left!

Yelp
My husband and I just got back from a weekend stay at the Wine Way Inn, and have great things to say about it. It was an adorable Bed and Breakfast, that is right near the picturesque town of Calistoga. The location is nice, since it's within walking distance to town, but also since it's right down the road from a number of beautiful wineries. The inn makes you feel right at home, and very comfortable. We had the room with our private balcony, which was very nice since its in the back of the house so we didn't hear our neighbors or the traffic. The room was nice, but somewhat basic. The best part about this hotel is the hospitable owners, and the amenities. They offer free bottled water throughout your stay, a delicious home cooked gourmet breakfast, wine anytime you want, and a cheese tray on request. We would definitely stay here again!

Yelp
Wow!!! This place was truly special, especially given the price (~$150 all in, I believe.) Stayed two nights. Had some incredible breakfasts there. The home-made granola is the BOMB. Gillian, the wife of the two-person team, now sells it on the side its so good. French press coffee, home made pastries. Good stuff. What makes this place unique is that the hosts are incredibly generous. Not only was the breakfast great, but they left the pastries/breads out for the rest of the day for you to enjoy. The complementary cabernet that they leave out for the guests was an $80 bottle from a small winery down the road - among the best I had during the trip. Only negatives I can mention is that it is near the main route through town and you can hear passing cars from some of the rooms at night. I wasn't that sensitive to it and it really isn't that loud, but if you're really bothered by that kind of thing then maybe take that into account. The other thing is that they do run two operations, the other being the Craftsman Inn. You likely won't see much of Gillian because I think she holds down the fort. This was no issue; Nick was a jovial, sociable fellow and it was a pleasure chatting with him. I'd definitely come back here in a heart beat if I'm back in Napa. Cheers to them.

Yelp
We stayed in the Oakville room and loved it! Opens to the expansive deck out back behind the Inn. It was comfortable and clean, and the host, Nick, was very friendly and helpful. It's located just a block (if that) from downtown Calistoga, so it's less than a 5min stroll to some wonderful restaurants, and in short biking distance to some great wineries. I had heard that their breakfast's were good-- we were asked if we had any dietary restrictions upon check in (which I thought was very thoughtful)-- it was amazing with a huge selection and freshly made pastries, yummy bacon, homemade yogurt and delicious granola. Not to mention the wonderful main dish of bread and butter pudding! I will be staying here again next time I'm wine country!

Yelp
I usually prefer to stay more than one night at a B&B, but it didn't work out this year for our stay here. I my opinion, you don't really get a feel for a B&B when it's arrive one night and leave the next morning. That said, we had a pleasant one night stay at the Wine Way Inn. Upon our arrival, Nick greeted us and showed us to our room upstairs. When we came back down stairs, there were homemade pastries from breakfast & a bottle of wine in the lounge area. So we helped ourselves to a glass of wine and a scone. We talked with another couple staying at the inn while we recovered from the day's wine tastings. Then we walked to dinner. One of the reasons we picked the inn was the claim that it was a short walk to downtown Calistoga. And it is. We had a room near the front of the inn, but the traffic noise wasn't that bad, even though we had the windows open for a little night breeze. Which was the only complaint we had. There was no AC in the room and the fan that was suppose to be in our closet was missing. Other than that, the bed was comfortable bed and the room was large enough for us and our luggage. Upstairs, there is bottled water for the guests in a fridge in the hallway. The entire Inn was very clean and well kept. There is on site parking. Breakfast the next morning was enjoyable. We packed up, each grabbed a bottle of water to go, and left for more wine tasting along the Silverado Trail.

Yelp
A rustic little inn on the west side of Calistoga that offers a great, casual place to stay with an amazing breakfast and incredibly friendly owners. The Wine Way Inn does a great job of describing itself on their site -- small rooms, not overly posh, but well tended too. The grounds are similarly a bit on the 'rustic' side -- but it's all part of the Calistoga charm. Nick and Gillian are friendly and hospitable, but also stay completely out of the way -- never intruding but always available. I've stayed here twice -- both times I chuckle at the funny little rooms, and the squeaky floor in the shower -- but I feel very comfortable to say the least. Complimentary wine in the evening and a FANTASTIC breakfast, coupled with being walking distance to Calistoga (and Jole), make this a great choice for those looking to spend less on accommodations and more on their food and wine (which is why you're in wine country to begin with!!).

Yelp
Nice little traditional BnB. Bed was a comfy. We had an easy time checking in and out, and host was very responsive. I do wish we could have had some sort of breakfast (even if it was prepackaged). Nevertheless, it was a nice stay and would do it again

Yelp
Because of Wine Way Inn, I've learned to NEVER wait until the last minute to book a hotel in Napa Valley during the harvest season! Hubby and I stayed here back in Sept. 2006, in the cottage that was not connected to the rest of the house, which was okay (that's where the one star comes in). Everything else about this place was pretty lame. When we checked in, the home owners were not there, but their mother was and she was nice but not that friendly. The cottage didn't seem very clean, it smelled like it hadn't been aired out since the last guest. During our stay, we never even saw the homeowners other than through the windows of their private part of the house. When we were ready to check out, the owners weren't in any of the common areas. We saw a door that said, "PRIVATE," and we didn't know if we should knock on it to see if they were there, so we just left the room key on the bureau by the main entrance. Considering we spent a good amount of money, you'd think they would at least say "hi!" Never going back to this place; there are too many good places to stay in the area.

Yelp
We spent two nights in this Bed and Breakfast place staying in their Calistoga cottage in the backyard. It was our least favoriate stay out of all the bed and breakfast places we have stayed in, due to the following: 1. It's off a major highway. At night, the traffic noise was very audible through the old outdated window. 2. The bureau inside was missing a handle off the last drawer. Inside that drawer, we found a pink lacy bra left there for who knows how long. 3. The furnising inside the cottage was pretty old and dated. The AC was old and loud. The landscape outside was not kept up. 4. Gillian, the Innkeeper, seemed pretty curt and did not seem to enjoy having guests around. There seem to be two kinds of Innkeepers: the kind that enjoys having people around for the social interactions, and the kind that does it just to supplement the income of the family. Gillian falls into the latter kind. 5. The breakfast was not very good - the quiche the first morning was too salty and the honey-glazed scone was too sweet for us. The pancake and the muffin the second day were too watery for us. On the plus side, Gillian does serve a cheese plate upon request and provides free bottled water. Overall, we are not impressed with this place and don't think we will return again.
