Today was the second time we came here for lunch. Both time we had a fantastic lunch experience, so good. Today we had the “Prata de Dia”, amazing and everything fresh and full of flavour. We recommend this restaurant if you want to eat excellent food.

I had my birthday dinner at Calma Calma and I couldn’t be happier!! It wasn’t my first time here so I already knew everything on the menu was amazing. We were a big group and the chef helped me tailor a group menu. Everything was perfect!!! You can really tell the tomato sauce in the lamb ragu pasta is homemade. The steak tartar is a crowd pleaser and the fritto misto was a very pleasant surprise! I have to highlight the service 🤩 that is not only super friendly but very efficient! This is definitely the best restaurant in Setúbal! Oh! And don’t miss the tiramisu!

I had the pleasure of organizing my birthday dinner here and it couldn’t have gone better. The whole team was incredibly kind, patient and attentive from the planning stage to the night itself, everything was handled flawlessly. The food was absolutely divine and their attention to detail truly made all the difference. Everyone in the group loved it (which says a lot, since it was a pretty picky crowd ahah). You can really feel the care, passion and genuine hospitality in every moment. Thank you for such a wonderful evening. I can’t wait to come back and try the new autumn menu! 🍂

What makes Calma Calma truly special is the combination of excellent food and wonderful people, as well as the feeling that, even as a visitor, you can experience a part of local life. This authenticity truly feeling the place you’re in – is one of the most important things for me when traveling. It’s a place created for both tourists and locals, where authentic food, a warm family-style atmosphere, and very reasonable prices come together perfectly. It’s a spot where you come for the taste of local dishes and stay for the friendly, welcoming vibe. A restaurant that makes you feel at home, where quality food and genuine hospitality shine in every detail. 🫶🏻

We are so happy to have came across Calma Calma. This is the best pasta we have had in our Portugal travels. Although the food was amazing, we would come back to be serviced by Maya alone. Her energy was a highlight of our night and we will definitely be back/send our friends here ❤️🐬

The atmosphere was so cozy and welcoming! The staff were incredibly friendly, and it honestly felt like being at a close friend’s home — I could see the chef cooking, chatting with the team, and the whole vibe was just lovely. If I had one small suggestion, it would be about the Carbonara. I totally get the small-plate concept, but mixing the sauce on such a little plate was a bit tricky (as you can probably tell from the video, my food had other plans and decided to escape 😅). Also, this version of Carbonara was a bit light on black pepper — maybe leaving some for guests to add to their taste would be a simple fix. That said, the Ragu was absolutely perfect — rich, flavorful, and honestly one of the best I’ve had. Thank you so much for such a great experience! I’d happily recommend this place and will definitely be coming back.

we’re glad we found this amazing gem in Setubal. Very welcoming staff and chefs who create a great vibe! We shared Tartare, Carbonara and Ragu and loved everything - super rich flavors. We will definitely come back :-)

Located in a lovely, quiet area, Calma Calma caught my attention with its intimate, relaxed vibes and fresh pasta on display outside. The service here was superb, everyone was so warm, attentive and eager to make sure we were happy with everything. The menu is limited (about 4-5 main dishes) but it’s understandable given that it’s newly opened. Unfortunately I did find the food quite mediocre: my pasta was overcooked and the tomato sauce lacked any flavour- it was quite acidic and needed a bit more of a chilli kick. The focaccia was also overly salty. The tiramisu was nice but didn’t have enough coffee and cream. A bit of a shame given how good everything else was!
