The Best Kind of Work Trip? Living Like a Local in Majorca | Vogue

"It truly, truly takes your breath away. It’s kind of nestled amongst two incredibly tall, scary rocky cliffs, but it is a sandy beach. It’s completely unexpected." - Michaela Bechler

It was like a swimming pool in the Mediterranean Sea. The water was so clean and clear and nice to swim in. To get there you will need to be fit and able to climb very steep rock steps and a small cliff (I've added a video of the only way in and out of the beach by foot... unless you arrive by boat, then you don't need to worry about cliffs). It's like a postcard... I thought the photos were Photoshopped and when we arrived the place actually does look amazing. If you're in the area it is definitely worth going to. You won't regret it.

Forever one of the most incredible sights in Mallorca. Super busy, but they’ve improved the infrastructure a lot to make it easier. Great for a photo, wouldn’t recommend for setting up for the day.

Calo del Moro is an absolutely breathtaking beach—definitely worth the visit. The location is relatively easy to find, and while there’s a bit of a walk to get there, the scenic path only adds to the experience. Once you arrive, the views are incredible and the water is crystal clear. That said, it’s important to know that the beach area itself is quite small. If you're traveling with family and hoping to set up chairs, umbrellas, or bring lots of beach gear, this might not be the ideal spot. It’s more suited for a quick swim, sunbathing on a towel, or soaking in the natural beauty. Still, for those who appreciate a more rugged, postcard-perfect beach, Caló del Moro is a must.

Amazing spot. Very beautiful. Definitely a spot for those going off the beaten track a bit although it seems popular. Some limited parking along the road and a steep walk down and then back up but fine for mobile people. No facilities once there. Brings drinks and food if you plan on staying a while.

It really is beautiful. Yes, you have to walk a bit to get to it. Yes, it’s crowded even in late September. But it truly is a special place. The best way to get here by car is to drive and park in the “Parking Calo des Moro / S’Almunia” in Google Maps. Then you have to walk 15-20 minutes. Easier to do late in the summer. May be a bit harsh in August. If you get here, don’t just go to Caló del Moro. Visit S’Almonia too. You have step stairs to get down to S’Almonia. Not that difficult, just be careful. And a slightly difficult rocky climb to get down to Moro. This one can be prohibitive for people with low mobility. I arrived at 1.30pm and had no trouble finding a parking spot, although it was almost full. I also found a lot of people in both Calas, but still enjoyable. Still, you need to keep in mind that I came in *late September*. Your experience will likely be different in the mid of the summer.

Beautiful spot with fun, crystal clear water to swim in. However, getting there was a challenge. We got there around noon and had to walk 20 minutes to get there, since spots were filled up and the road down there blocked off. It's also a steep climb down (and on your way back, up). Definitely not recommended for people with mobility issues. There isn't much sand to put your stuff down on either. People sat down on the rocks. Also the water is very wavy and gets deep fast. Definitely a place to get there early, bring a lunch (nowhere to eat or drink on site), and hang out for a long time. I'll still give it 4 stars because I enjoyed the views and the water.

Stunning beach crystal clear water. Downside to having a beautiful and popular beach like this is that is always going to be overcrowded to the point where there is no more place for a single person. This is more of a bucket list and you cannot have a full beach day here and enjoy it. There are much better beaches to enjoy for the day, but this is something worth seeing for a short period of time.

It is def beautiful but like some others say, it’s a lot to get there. Walking for 15min from the car parking in the heat was not fun at all, bringing hiking shoes just to go to the beach because it’s rocky was a hassle, the beach itself is tiny.. the water is pretty but not worth all the effort imo… we took photos and left quickly. There are many other easy access beaches around the island, I’d rather go somewhere else with less stress.
