Superb 3-night stay. Beautiful rooms and garden, attention to detail, excellent breakfast, and very friendly staff. Frankly it’s a bargain for the price. Can’t recommend highly enough!

We initially booked Chalets de Palma, but once we arrived, we got upgraded rooms at the Calou Guest House that belongs to the same owner. The driver was waiting for us on arrival and helped transfer us with our luggage from the boat to our rooms. The service is outstanding; Nadine went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant. We have a welcome drink with a full explanation about La Digue Island. When I asked for a yoga mat, I had it delivered to our room within a minute. The next day the bikes were waiting for us outside in the garden. The rooms were beautiful, spacious, and lovely decorated with fresh flowers on arrival. The breakfast was delicious, with different daily options and local fruits on nicely decorated tables. We felt very welcome and relaxed during our four-day stay on the island. The place is stunning, and I would recommend it to everyone who wishes to feel the home atmosphere.

Our bungalow was spotless, spacious and esthetically appealing, with a lovely balcony on which we ordered and ate supper on two of the nights we were there. The owner, Nadine, was helpful on numerous occasions, from making contact with our guide on the first evening to immediately attending to a problem with the air conditioner (which was solved to our satisfaction) to arranging for rental bicycles for the two last days and taking us via the cellular phone company on the last day on our way to the jetty for the ferry to Praslin. The fresh fruit smoothie served at breakfast was a real highlight. I highly recommend Calou Guest House.

The bungalow we stayed in is renovated, all New and very beautiful. The bed is big and comfortable, also the barhroom is really nice. The terase infront of a bungalow is big and spacy. The host is so Nice, always ready to help you and advises you where to go and what to do in The island. Breakfast is very good, althought some more variety would be Nice. You can rent a bike for 100sr per day, which is ok price, regarding to others in The island. I am very happy for staying here, this is The Best accomodation in Seychelles so far.

My friend and I spent 1 day at this guest house and it was lovely. On arrival we were given ice cold towels to cool us down and a refreshing drink. Check in was straight forward and my food allergies catered for. Our rooms was bright, spacious and clean. Air con, ceiling fan and wifi worked well. Breakfast was a fruit salad and a continental breakfast, which was nice. The road where this guest house is situated has intermittent street lights,so we had to use the torch on my phone, which was fine. This information is given to you when you check in. We walked to the guest house from the pier and it is a lot further than stated. I would recommend taking a taxi, which cost us 150 rupees. This guest house is nice and I would stay here again.

The decoration was great, the location was as well superb (on a side street of La Digue but peace and quiet is all you need). The room was big and well organized. The hosts are super nice and the breakfast is amazing. We rented bikes for our stay. Some room for minor improvements, In our room there were only swinging doors to the bathroom/toilet, giving view directly on the toilet, so if you like some privacy it’s not the most convenient setting. The beds are two single put together; so in the middle of the night there would be a gap in between. I know it’s the case for most places, but a proper double bed would be great! The patio / outdoor light can be less bright, more Amber or yellow Over all was great abd would surely recommend.

It was such a pleasure spending 3 days at the Calou Guesthouse. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Nadine, and treated with mocktail fresh fruit juice. It was so yummy! She also recommended us on a few locations for dinner , explained the geography of the island and must go places. The villa is so beautiful and clean, the garden with fountain is very well maintained, there’s even a Coco de Mer tree in the garden, villa is decorated with flowers, the amenities is adequate and the towels are white and clean, the beds are comfortable and the bathroom is spacious, and shower comes with those raining shower head. They even made a flower arrangements on bed upon our arrival, very delightful and appreciated. The breakfast is so delicious! Served with local fruit plate, pancakes, coffee, toast with daily fresh made jam and omelette. We communicated through WhatsApp’s which is better than the booking apps. The reply is prompt and our request are made in timely manner. You can arrange ferry transfer at 10euro per way and also conveniently rent the bicycles as 100scr per day. Trust me, you will need the bicycle to go everywhere unless you live walking a lot. Highly recommended villa to everyone who is visiting La Dogue near future.

We had an amazing time at Calou. So quiet because of its position, but still on the main road, actually very close to everything (good position to start a trip towards Grand Anse). Nadine has been an amazing host, always ready to help with our requests. Her breakfast is very good and the fresh fruit from the garden is really special. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Wi-Fi is not great, but you will find worse on Seychelles! We were able to pay everything by card, except for the bikes, which we could pay in Euros. I was a bit let down by the exchange rate they used - I paid €70 for 1000 SCR, which right now are equivalent to €63. I only did the math afterwards and that was a bitter surprise.
