Only about the restaurant. Book in advance or put on high society clothes and speak Italien. Otherwise you get ignored and others coming later get to eat but we were overlooked. Unfriendly.

What a gem of a place - we often like to drive the Berninapass, and somehow we always end up doing it in the height of a whiteout. This wonderful respite offers a warm and friendly snug to travellers weary from the snow outside. Food is always lovely and there always seems to be someone interesting in there to talk with.

We had a great dinner at the restaurant of this place after a very long day hiking. The food was very good and the service was fast and really friendly. The terrace with the view to the glacier was all that we needed to finish a perfect day.

The food is really hits the spot after a hike. I had the beef tripe with polenta and it taste like the famous food truck tripe sandwiches in Florence. The service is attentive. It gets busy 1-2pm onwards. It has beautiful views of the glacier even during summer.

Went here to have a quick lunch while hiking in the region. Place was busy, but they served us relatively quickly. Food was better than expected - tasty and freshly made. We took ravioli with pesto sauce and pork snitzel. Both were better than the average swiss quality. It was possible to pay by card. Not the most charming restaurant, but fine for simple and quick lunch. Recommended.

We stayed for my mother’s 70th birthday. The Manager could not have been more welcoming. Heavy snow meant we had to leave later than planned and they were so hospitable. The place is utterly gorgeous with incredible views and the hotel is warm, welcoming and cozy.

On a recent trip from Poschiavo to st. Moritz, we stopped to eat at this hilltop restaurant. We enjoyed excellent local fare including ravioli pesto, ravioli with zucca, minestrone and strudel. All excellent. We were treated to a few songs and harmonica by two local mountain men. And the view of the glacier is the cherry on the cake. A must visit. Don't miss the jersey cows across the road. Most beautiful faces I've seen!

If you love quiet, if you love amazing views, if you love amazing food, this is the place to be ! This hotel is located on top of a mountain pass, reachable by buss, car or train (about 10 minutes hiking below the hotel), so there are no stores close by, but if you don't mind that, you can enjoy the views on the Cambrena glacier and the surrounding mountains of the Bernina massive. It's a great starting point for many mountain hikes. The food is FANTASTIC ! And the manager and staff are really friendly. We return every year !

Wonderful roadside cafe located on a beautiful road. Great place for soup and a cappuccino when it's chilly outside.
