I will come back and leave this very honest and valid review every time you delete or hide it :) many reviews claim your business is a scam and i’m documenting all of them as this has been my experience as well. and the owner responded to my review before deleting it saying I can contact them to discuss further, which I have and they have fully ignored me. also have a claim open with the better business bureau. just don’t stay here it’s not worth it.
BEWARE! this hotel will make false claims in order to charge you incidental fees, these fees probably keep the lights on in the place. They charged me a smoking fee when no smoking occurred in the room, and while scrolling down through their other google reviews I see that other guests have had similar experiences, with one also being charged a fraudulent smoking fee. Our fire alarm went off in the room due to steam from the shower, and a concierge immediately came to inspect the room and she confirmed that there was no issue or smoke odors in the room and she said that yes, the shower and even the microwave at times do set off the alarms and to please let her know if we have any more issues but that everything was fine.
Minutes after checking out the following day, I was charged a $250 fee. When I called to ask why, the concierge told me it was because the alarm went off the night before and this led them to believe there was smoking in the room. When I mentioned that our room was immediately inspected upon the alarm going off and the inspector confirmed there was no evidence of smoke, she transferred me to the General manager Joseph Dauber who told me they found marijuana in the room (They didn’t) So I asked for proof of this claim. Please look below and have a laugh at the photos they sent me claiming to be proof that they found marijuana in the room (they didn’t) I also was able to get the photo data on these and can see they were taken about 4 minutes after I checked out of the room, which hardly gives enough time for the thorough inspection they claimed. I believe the first photo is of the manager’s feet immediately running to my room to try and find something to support their false claim which was based only on knowing an alarm had went off, and the second photo is some kind of debris on the bottom of the bathroom trash that they went and sifted through (EW! also feels quite violating them rummaging through my trash, weirdo behavior)
Lastly, I wouldn’t have written a review about how seedy and dirty the place was, but given the scammy vibes of the place I may as well warn of that too. The toilet paper holder was broken off the wall so the roll just sits on the counter top, and there’s scum and mildew growing inside the bathroom sink. They must be doing bad financially because their lobby is half taken up by a bar that’s only open on weekends (the only time they have guests i assume? i didn’t see another guest my whole stay there it was eerie) There are much better options in the area for a similar price and cheaper as you likely won’t be charged scam fees at another hotel.
again- photos below are how they claim to have proof there was smoking in the room (there wasn’t)
