We ran into a couple on an excursion we were on and they suggested to visit Camden. We went to Camden Harbor and found a couple waterfalls and a few businesses for shopping and dining.

Do know yet but it sounds pretty good .We would love to see it for ourselves ?I am 100 percent disabled Ma marine Corps vet. and would love to go there but my budget won’t allow me to.

Google
Beautiful harbor in Camden, Maine located behind Main street. Plenty of benches on a small grass hill with a view of the harbor. Pack a lunch and enjoy the harbor views, soak up the sun with the sound of the nearby waterfall.

Google
Went on it very first sailing experience. Views are amazing, try and go close to sunset. Enjoyed touring Camden very much.

Ron E.

Google
One of the most beautiful harbors in America. Many old schooners anchor here. Come for the sunrise. If you come during the day, grab a sandwich at the Camden Deli and eat by the big windows inside! Amazing view!

My husband is from Maine. One of the best experiences in life. Cool, gorgeous, & an attractive place to be. One of his love is the Camden Harbor, among others. Cheers! 🥂

Google
The most beautiful and neatest small coastal town we visited along the Maine coast. Don't miss it!

Google
Camden Harbor park and Amphitheater is a must do when you are visiting the area. The views are gorgeous. A great place to stroll or sit and relax while enjoying the stunning view of one of the most beautiful harbors in Maine. The harbor front has good places to eat and drink.

Yelp
Had a fantastic 3 hour cruise this morning on Camden Harbor Cruises. Cassie was very informative and educational, we learned a lot about lobstering in Maine, as well as taking in all the awesome scenery (got to see a handful of lighthouses on this tour). We also observed several harbor seals on the cruise. As an added bonus, the weather happened to be perfect this morning. Dogs are allowed on the boat, our mini poodle also loved her outing today. We highly recommend this cruise if you have never been to the Penobscot Bay area before.

Laura M.

Yelp
Excellent lobstering, lighthouse and naturalist excursion. For the price and experience it's a win. My kids liked it and the timing at just under 2 hours was perfect. The guide was a little bit a salty sailor but that added to the charm. We saw seals, osprey, eagles and lots of other wildlife. Afterwards We explored the town - don't miss the candy store! Excellent experience!

Anne O.

Yelp
We had a great tour with Camden Harbor Cruises. Sue, our guide, was knowledgeable, entertaining and informative, and Nathan, our captain, was engaging and educational as well. We can't say enough positive things about our experience. We highly recommend it.

Danielle S.

Yelp
My family and I did the lobstering cruise. It was a smaller boat so the group felt more intimate. We got stuck in traffic on the way, we called to let them know, and they said no worries if we couldn't make it on time we could join the next group, very accommodating. We set off on a beautiful, blue sky day. We learned so much about the rules and regulations of lobstering but also got to see wonderful coastline, lots of animals and some really great looking boats. All of our questions were answered by the captain and co-captain. We were also able to get down and dirty throwing the lobster and crab caught overboard, in a safe manner, and rebaiting the traps. It was so nice that you had the option to be hands on or hands off. If we visit this area again with friends we would definitely do this excursion again. We had adults and kids (9&13) who all enjoyed themselves!

Yelp
Great eco-cruise this afternoon: seals and comorants and bears, oh my! Friendly, knowledgeable crew. Def reccomend

Tim C.

Yelp
This was a very good 2 hour eco cruise. Really knowledgeable skipper and a chance to see a lobster pot be hauled along with a chance to see a good variety of marine life (osprey, eagles, guillemot, porpoises, harbor seals, schooling mackerel). Boat was well maintained but quite a lot of people on board (22) given the price ($50 per person) hence one star off. But still a great way to spend some time on the water, get a tour of the bay, and get an insight into how lobsters are caught and the ways that the industry is kept sustainable.

Yelp
We took the 1 hours Lobster and Lighthouse tour, and we had a blast!! It's for 1 very safe for my 1 year year old with life jackets on board for kids. This is such a great tour for families as well as adults who want to learn about lobstering and see the beautiful views of the Camden shores and harbor. There is only 1 lighthouse, but it's beautiful! The tour guides were incredibly knowledgeable and great storytellers. Great price for the tour. Would do again!

Stephanie G.

Yelp
Had an amazing experience!! We did the one hour lobster and lighthouse tour. It was the perfect amount of time to be out on the water now that it's getting a little chilly and windy. We had a great time and learned all about catching lobsters, the local people, the harbor, camden and the surrounding area. Highly recommend!

Nora M.

Yelp
Very enjoyable eco tour, especially for kids. Cassie included the kids in emptying and baiting the lobster trap and pushing it overboard. Saw many harbor and gray seal on the rocks and popping their heads out of the water. Pointed out several different birds. Very nice tour

Zachary L.

Yelp
We had a great time with Camden Harbor Cruises! The lobsterman was very informative, the captain had some great stories about his past, it was a great time! Upon docking we did get soaked because of the storm that had just opened up while we were docking, but we still had a great time! Can't wait to go again soon!

Brendan O.

Yelp
The perfect Mid-Coast experience with young kids! We took their one hour long morning lobster tour and our 5-year-old son had a great time with plenty of hands-on activity - meeting various sea creatures and pulling, baiting, and dropping lobster traps. The guide was engaging, knowledgeable and great with kids. Highly recommended for kids aged 4-10.

Nathaniel C.

Yelp
Excellent tour with a friendly guide and captain. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the area!

Karen D.

Yelp
We had tons of fun on the lobster and lighthouse cruise! It was long enough to feel like an experience but not too long. We heard interesting stories from the boat captain, learned a lot about crab and lobsters from the hostess on board, and they made it super interactive, having kids touch the sea creatures, help toss the accidental catch back over board, and reset the lobster trap and push the cage over. We didn't catch a lobster but came up with tons of crabs, and it was really cool to see a female with eggs. There was ample time to ask any questions you wanted and take lots of pictures of the beautiful coastline, boats, and lighthouse. After this experience I felt a lot more connected and knowledgeable about the area and the way of a lobsterman's life. This was a must-have experience for us a s we are glad we picked this one!

Bert A.

Yelp
Perfect boat. Perfect crew. Perfect day! We did the three hour Lighthouse tour and it was wonderful! You can visit lighthouses from the land but why not see them from the mariners position. I would do this this tour every time I visit Camden. I cannot recommend this more! My mother greatly appreciated the fact that she could hear all of the narration because the First Mate / Tour Guide had a microphone and speaker system. Take this cruise!

Kathleen K.

Yelp
This was such a great cruise, I went out a second day. I was on the hunt for lighthouses mainly, but we got to see porpoises, seals, osprey and bald eagle. We had a wonderful 2 days out. Highly recommend this trip. You also get a lot of history and stories during the trip as well, which was an added bonus.

Craig S.

Yelp
Super fun boat ride! We leaned a lot about the natural habitat and wildlife in the area. Our guide was very was awesome and took the time to answer all my kids questions. They got to play with some lobsters and crab, and see plenty of seals. I highly recommend taking the Eco-Tour cruise it was worth every penny. They also have beer for sale on the boat which made it even better!

Charlene L.

Yelp
Great tour. Very informative and friendly. Learned about lobsters, industry regulations, local sea life and area history.

Jay K.

Yelp
Camden Harbor Cruises are always the best part of our trip to Maine! The crew is always friendly and knowledgeable and the boat is just the right size for everyone to participate. Fun for all ages! Highly recommend!

David L.

Yelp
After camping and hiking in the area for a few days we decided to do this on our last morning before driving back to North Conway. We are so glad we did! Colin and the female Captain (sorry forgot name) were awesome! Pro tip, try to sit up front for close seats to all the action. Our 6 year old LOVED "helping" with setting bait, touching lobsters and starfish from their touch tank, etc. Our almost 3 year old just loved pointing out bouys. Colin was charismatic and gave a great presentation on the history of two lighthouses and was always happy to answer questions from the audience. A tour on a lobster boat is something everyone should do at least once in their life, and we are glad did it here!

Debbie M.

Yelp
90 min cruise around Penobscot Bay with a stop by the seals resting on the rocks, porpoises in the water, a light house and, on board, lobsters and crabs. The 'first mate' (Dominic, who owns the boat) was a great storyteller-- we learned so much and laughed just as much. Very entertaining! If we'd been inclined, we could even have helped prep the lobster trap, too. Highly recommend this excursion. Beautiful trip on the water. PS, take a mask. They expect the Coast Guard will require them for a while.

Gary M.

Yelp
We loved the one hour lighthouse/lobster cruise. Our guide was very friendly and so was the captain. I would highly recommend Camden Harbor Cruises if you want a good cruise experience.

Mike M.

Yelp
Very friendly people. I was impressed how easy it was to make reservations. The check-in was simple and welcoming. The crew made me feel like a valued guest. I took the lighthouse tour, which I highly recommend. The narration and background were superb. The prices were fair and of great value for what I paid. Looking forward to taking my grandkids on the next visit.

Daniel P.

Yelp
Great experience, everyone really enjoyed the experience and education.

Milica L.

Yelp
Excellent tour! We went with our children who loved it. Our guide was very knowledgeable and fun. The captain was informative and professional. We went on a tour that took us around the harbor, pulled lobster traps, bald eagle nests, seals, saw lighthouses and islands. We especially loved that much of the tour was hands on and interactive. My kids really enjoyed learning about the animals and getting to hold them. We will definitely be back on the Lively Lady soon!

Cathy R.

Yelp
Wonderful cruise on Lively Lady with Dominic and Annie! Very scenic. Learned a lot about the area and lobstering. There were a couple very young children on our cruise. Annie made sure to include them in the learning process. Definitely will do again!

Karen C.

Yelp
What a great cruise around the harbor! Our guide, Marley, was personable and informative. He was very knowledgeable about the area and shared information about the lighthouses and homes, as well as the geography of the region. We learned so much about lobsters and he included the children in measuring and tossing smaller lobsters back in the ocean. My 2-year-old granddaughter was attentive and intrigued throughout this 60-75 minute boat ride.

Fred H.

Yelp
Great experience for adults and children!! From the patient booking agent who answered many questions, the informative and entertaining captain and first mate, the economical cost, to the eye opening exposure to lobstering and seals....it was truly a wonderful trip!!!

William L.

Yelp
Went on the lighthouse cruise on May, 23. Great experience! Dominic was our tour guide and extremely knowledgeable about the area, anything to do with lobstering, and Maine in general. We had a great ride and saw may harbor seals and some people also saw porpoises. They followed appropriate COVID precautions. Making reservations was efficient. Highly recommend!

Aquia 6.

Yelp
We went for the lighthouse and lobstering cruise during the lighthouse and lobstering cruise and I would say this trip was worthy every penny spent. The crew was so nice and explained about lobsters and various principles of lobstering. They were always pleasant and was eager to answer all your queries. A must for someone who is visiting Maine for the first time.

Seahawk Fan M.

Yelp
Beautiful day for a boat ride. The captain and Colleen were awesome. Colleen is ver knowledgeable about the area and all the history. Wasn't expecting to Get all that info as an added treat. Nice even leveled boat ride. Also had wool blankets available to those a little cold. Colleen also did a quick lesson on lobsters, lobster traps and hauling. Just an overall great experience and would highly recommend.

Karl M.

Yelp
I went on the Sunday lighthouse cruise on 08/29/21. Been on a lot of cruises in many cities. I rate this as, by far, the best cruise like this I have ever been on. The narrator Dom and boat Captain were excellent !!!! Great experience!!!!

Natalie K.

Yelp
Fantastic private tour with captain Dominic! Kids and adults loved the commentary, views, interactions, sea life, and boat! Thank you!!!

Summer S.

Yelp
This was so much fun! We were afraid it would be super touristy and cheesy but was a highlight of our trip. The staff were knowledgeable and passionate about their jobs. We saw seals and were taught all about lobstering. The friendliest crew and captain! Highly recommend this cruise!

Laura R.

Yelp
What a great trip!! Weather was beautiful and had a few good lobster catches. Learned a lot and had a blast!

Tara A.

Yelp
What a great day out on the water with Captain Dom and Taylor. Fun for both adults and kids. Our 6 year old LOVED holding a lobster and baiting a trap. Would definitely do it again!

Morgan R.

Yelp
My sister & I decided to do the Lobster Fishing/Lighthouse Boat Tour while we were in Camden for the weekend. As soon as I got on the boat, I realized it was a bit chilly out - but not a problem, they had blankets ready for the passengers. The hour ride flew by & was so informational, yet entertaining! Well worth the money!

Roxanne R.

Yelp
We were lucky enough to go the first weekend they were open so got half off tickets, and were even luckier that it was a gorgeous sunny day! They were very knowledgeable and fun to talk to for all ages. We both grew up on the water so are well used to boats and the crabs etc that they passed around, but appreciated that they took the time with each one to show everyone and even take pics if they wanted. We got to see a bald eagle near it's nest, close enough to get great pics, and saw many lighthouses and got their backstories, as well as for properties on the water - very interesting! To top it off, we went looking for seals and saw a large group of them, gorgeous creatures. They made a point of giving everyone enough time and moving the boat so people on both sides got a clear view. Excellent trip and we'd definitely recommend it 100%

Ashley N.

Yelp
I'm not a fan of sailing. But I was a fan of the lively lady. I like vessels that are closed in. I don't like string to be between me and the water. Anyways, my husband and I took a one hour morning tour out in the harbor with the captain (Jeff, I think?) and the owner of the boat, Kate who was very knowledgable about everything in and around the harbor. Luckily, no one else was scheduled for our tour time, so we had the boat all to ourselves. We went out to see the lighthouse, the seals, the lobster traps, and the beautiful vistas and millions dollar houses. We pulled up the lobster trap and measured the lobsters. I even got to throw the lobsters back in the water. I felt like a kid again! The captain was funny and told us a lot of funny stories. My husband really loved the boat tour because Kate offered him a down east cider (local thang) and that's all he drank all the trip in Maine. It was a wonderful tour. I highly recommend it!!

Amber T.

Yelp
We went in the lighthouse and lobster cruise and I am so glad we chose this cruise! The captain was great and answered tons of questions. The lady that spoke during the cruise was SO informative when it came to lobstering and the history of the lighthouses. I highly recommend this cruise to those visiting the Camden area!

Cathy F.

Yelp
Kate was our guide. She was awesome! Very knowledgeable and so enjoyable. She was so patient and answered everyone's questions. I feel bad I cannot remember the name of the captain of the boat, but he was great too. They both explained so much about the seals and lobsters in the tank and how he scuba dives occasionally to get new items for the tank. I would go back just for them. Very enjoyable and happy, both of them!!! Thank you!!!

Sarah J.

Yelp
Nice boat. Fun, entertaining host. Dom was also friendly. We learned a lot. We have 2 kids and they got to band a lobster and bait the trap. They really loved that. We saw lots of seals, some osprey, and a porpoise. It was a gorgeous ride and we really enjoyed our cruise.

Ken G.

Yelp
Great cruise with knowledgeable crew. Can't wait to go back. Was very interested in the historical part of the trip as well as the information about lobstering that I never knew before.

Kristen S.

Yelp
My family and I loved this boat ride! Gorgeous ride out in the bay! We saw tons of beautiful sailboats. It was great for my 10 and 6 year old; they learned a lot and even got hands on with the lobster! Kate was wonderful with the kids and very informative! We learned how to pull up a lobster trap, rebait it, and then throw it back in. We got to see seals up close too!

Linda J.

Yelp
My daughter and I had a great time on the Lively Lady!! Marley and the captain were informative and entertaining. The crew pulled up a lobster trap with at least 10 lobsters in it. My daughter got to toss one back (to small) and then helped re-bait the trap with pickled herring. We also saw seals and learned the infamous story about Andre the seal. The crew was very down-to-earth and knowledgeable . I would highly recommend this cruise for all ages.

Rebecca C.

Yelp
We went on the lobster and lighthouse cruise this past week while vacationing in the Camden area. We had our two boys with us (ages 8 and 5) and it was the perfect balance of relaxation and entertainment. Highly recommend.

Kevin B.

Yelp
A wonderful way to see the Maine coast. The crew was very knowledgeable, booking was a breeze and I would recommend this trip to all! Great experience!

Rob H.

Yelp
We went on a 1.5 hr Eco cruise and it was wonderful!!! The kids had a great time and Captain Jeff and Kate were great!!! Highly recommend their boat!
