The front reception area, pool and grounds are charming but the rooms are very small. Don't plan on spending much time in them. Showers are small too but they seem to be in hotels all over the world. The place is showing it's age but the place is very clean and the staff are friendly and accomodating. The buffet breakfast is quite good though and all of the cakes and pastries are made by a young cook. The neighborhood is undergoing a change as new much pricier hotels are going up so this little place is good value for money. Location between Punte del Este and Maldonado means you need a car to get to the beach. Unfortunately the hotel does allow smoking but we could only smell smoke the morning we checked in.

Very inexpensive with clean functional small rooms. This is an older hotel with basic rooms. Bed was comfortable, there is a decent size mini fridge in the room, small flatscreen tv, and small clean bathroom which looks to have been redone with a blow dryer. Excellent free wifi which allowed me to watch some streaming videos on my iPad. Included breakfast was not too extensive but certainly sufficient. I paid just over $50 a night and after my first night extended my stay for a third night. Five minute walk to the Punta shopping mall and less than five minute drive to the beaches. I don't speak Spanish and the staff I encountered didn't speak English but I managed to get by. Rooms have a/c but I did not need mine as it was the beginning of fall and room was comfortable. Hotel has a small pool and limited parking in front which could be an issue during the busy season. For the price as compared to other hotels in Punta del Este this place was very good!

We found this hotel in short notice after the apartment we had book and paid was cancelled. It was high season (new year's eve) and managed to find a room in this beautiful hotel. It is well located in the Peninsula, close to the mall and trendy restaurants. It´s no walking distance from the beach but you can pay a taxi or even take a bus nearby.||The staff is super friendly and hepful, and everything is delicious including the breakfast.

We stayed for 2 days in the Camelot Hotel in Punta del Este and it was great. The rooms are a bit small but comfy, the bathroom is clean and well equipped and the breakfast is very good. Value for money was not too good, but we were in Punta during high season (January) and it is very hard to find anything below 300 USD. ||I would like to mention how helpful and friendly the staff was, Aerolineas Argentinas lost our luggage for 3 days and wasn't very helpful by telling us heaps of different stories and timelines but the guys in the hotel helped us finding our luggage and didn't even charge us for the zillions of phone calls. Apart from that they were very, very friendly and nice. A real good recommendation if you are not looking for 5* luxury.

This a beach hotel with a small nice pool and outside hot jacuzzi. Wonderful park with chairs and small tables, trees and flowers everywhere; we stayed there at night tasting the wonderful Tannat red wine. Short walking distance from Shopping mall, Disco Supermarket, Ancap gas station, two bus stops to city center and Tinto Restó and Café (try it!). ||You can also walk to Brava Beach and to Mansa Beach ( this a bit longer ). Taxis on phone call. ||The rooms are small, but this is a beach hotel! How long are you going to spend inside? It is old fashioned? Yes, but clean and not noisy at all. Three doors closet for clothes. Bathroom is basic with plenty of hot water. TV and small fridge. Rooms are cleaned every day. Breakfast is very complete with scrambled eggs, pastries, bread, cereals, etc. ||The Awa Hotel is just across the street, if you want bigger rooms, more service, amenities, spa and the works, go there and pay their rates. ||We just had a great time at this hotel. We paid for what it was offered. ||We did the room check out in the morning after breakfast and spend the rest of the day at the pool; then we changed in the lobby bathroom; the front desk staff printed our boarding passes, kept our luggage and call the taxi to the airport. Very nice.

This is a simple, but good hotel located 2 blocks from the Punta Shopping. The room is ok. The breakfast is very good. The girl in the front desk is very sympathetic and helpful. On the other hand, the guy told us we would have a late checkout but when we were leaving, we had to pay half a night. So, he wasn't as pleasant as we thought...

This was an older hotel but kept up very well. I didn't notice any kind of decent views from the rooms. The rooms were older but clean and well kept. It looked like the bathrooms had been remodeled recently. The common area felt like the living room as someone's house. The staff was very friendly. There is a grocery store easily within walking distance and a mall close by too.

My husband and I stayed here and were not extremely pleased. We went during the high Season in December (during the Holidays) and felt that the rooms were extremely tight, small shower (needs updating overall), no views, and just felt outdated. At the time we booked in July all hotels in Punta were already sold out so we stayed at the Camelot. The receptionists were great and helpful, which made our stay a bit better, but would have loved to stay somewhere else.
